EducationStudy In The US And Canada Today... by Josiahdking(op): 1:16pm On Jan 21, 2017
I want to study abroad, most especially in Europe, US and Canada. How do I go about it? I do not have much information about schools in Europe. However, I do post some opportunities for Europe based on the scholarship alerts I receive. You can always visit the websites of the post I make for European schools and read more about specific scholarship. For US and Canadian schools, I can provide some information.

I know you do not have much information about the EU but I am also interested in US and Canadian Schools. How do I go about it? The first step is for you to go to google, type in “ US Universities + your course of study” if you are interested in the US. You can do a similar search for Canadian schools by replacing US with Canada in your search. It will bring out several schools and you can go through these schools one-by-one. What are the requirements for getting into the US and Canadian schools? Kindly note that different schools have different requirements and so you have to carefully navigate through their graduate school website to have an idea of the requirements.

VIEW OTHER SCHOLARSHIP TO STUDY ABROADhttp://schoolhero..com/p/bc-international-student-ambassador.html

It is not enough to just go through the graduate school website, you should also go through the website of your intended department as individual department do have additional requirements in addition to that of the graduate school. Some schools specify this type of requirement as “Program requirements”. For some schools, the major requirements for admission into US and Canadian schools are the results of your undergraduate degree, letters of recommendation, transcripts, a Statement of purpose and for most of the schools (most especially in the US and some schools in Canada), the GRE (Graduate Record Examination). What is the most important criteria out of the ones listed above? I will say that your undergraduate records and the GRE are ranked highest when schools are considering students for admission and funding. Some schools even place more emphasis on your performance in the GRE than your undergraduate record. This is because the educational system varies from one country to another. So the GRE creates an avenue to evaluate students from various educational backgrounds and finally helps the admission committee to evaluate and rank applications to their program. Admission and funding (scholarships) are given to applicants based on this ranking. Once funding is exhausted, other applicants are given an alternative to either fund themselves, or they are denied admission. Is there a difference between funding and scholarship? Funding and scholarships are the same in this context. Funding are given in form of teaching or research assistantship or fellowships (with teaching assistant, some or (mostly all the time) all of your tuition is paid with some stipends by teaching/ assisting in teaching of some undergraduate classes, while with research assistant, you work with a professor helping s/he on a research work) . This includes tuition

Most secondary school student feels that every holiday break is for them to play. Or are you one of them? Holiday break is not for you to play all through. The earlier you start learning new things the better. There are so many handy job you can lay your hands on and learn fast.
Let me tell you my story, while in secondary school, I had in plan to just enter higher institution immediately I graduate from secondary school. Well, all my plans went naught. I cried at home for months. One day, a friend of mine walk up to me and said why am I crying?“it is not how far, it is how well”, can we just utilize our time by learning how to operate a computer. After that, I enrolled in a computer school for 6 months. I really enjoyed my stay in the school. The following year I got my admission. While in school, a big sister connected me to a friend of hers that works in a software company. I worked per time in the place. I made up to N150, 000 in my first three semesters in school. In fact, it was a thing of joy for me. Till today, I pray for my friend indirectly for opening my eyes to see greatness in the middle of crisis. So learn anything worthwhile now so that later in life, it would be an added advantage for you. According to an old saying “No knowledge is a waste”.

2. Apprenticeship
Consider taking an apprenticeship position and allow someone to mentor you. Find out about apprenticeships in the area you think you are good at. You might end up taking over the business one day. Becoming a businessman doesn't mean you have to own your own business. You can be a manager responsible for collaborating with partners, raising cash flow and running an existing business. This is a great way to start gaining experience while you save money to open your own shop.

3. Capital

Starting a business doesn't have to require huge investments. Some businesses you can start online with just your computer. If you have a skill such as editing, you can open your business online and market yourself by having potential customers email you writing samples. In this case, it might be best to take a certified editor course either online or at your local community college. Bookkeeping is another good job to consider because you can work from home using a financial software program. If administration is not your thing, consider something in the field of desktop publishing.

4. Advantages and Disadvantages
Starting a business right out of secondary school will have its advantages and disadvantages. More than likely, you're younger than the average business owner, so you run the risk of people not taking you seriously. Be firm, mature, confident and diligent. If you have these qualities, you will eventually succeed. Use your experiences as a younger businessman to your advantage. Develop a strong social media presence. Absorb all the experience you can. The younger you start, the more experience you gain and the more competitive you grow.

5. Consider College

Having a college degree is not a requirement in becoming a successful businessman, but it does help. BBA and MBA programs give you knowledge to help stay successful in the corporate world. If you are determined start a business full time, and you want to devote your energy to this endeavor, consider taking business classes that will help you with marketing, financial matters and web site design. The Small Business Administration offers free classes to budding entrepreneurs in the basics of business. Also, find out about certificate programs in your area of interest. Credibility comes with licensing and certificates. Plus, if you plan to perform hands on technical tasks in your business, a license might be mandatory.

InvestmentHow I Grow My Money Into Millions Before Age 30 by Josiahdking(op): 3:53am On Nov 05, 2016
If there is one universal truth, it’s that everyone is looking to get rich quick. This probably explains why so many people are willing to believe there’s a Nigerian prince out there with their email address, ready and willing to mail them money. Truth is, whether looking for your dream job or starting up a new company, too many young people are looking to strike gold as quickly and easily as possible.
As someone who made my first million before I turned 30, the question of how to become a young millionaire often arises. Unfortunately, I don’t know of any magic pill to take or button to press to become instantly successful.
For starters, I followed the 10,000 hour rule of mastering any subject, deferring parties in college to spend sleepless nights working on business plans with a select group of other broke but ambitious hustlers. Along with my 5 close friends and 4 course mates, I spent most of my years while in school working hard, mastering skills and drinking a lot of Nescafé coffee.
The possibility of you becoming wealthy early in life is really high, only if you have the drive, determination and ambition to succeed. Here are a few tips that helped me achieve success and just might help you, too.
1. DEFINE YOUR ABILITIES AND BE PRECISE
As a young individual, most people will see your age as your biggest barrier and most pressing handicap. But the truth is that your youth just might be your biggest advantage.
Most of the people I interacted with and contacted were older (sometimes much older) than myself. Often, these people knew they wanted to get hooks into the online space but just didn’t understand how online platform works. They were actually looking for someone hungry and motivated, but best of all, they were looking for someone who had deep knowledge technology and understood the market.
Still, there is definitely a real perceived disadvantage to being a young and “inexperienced” worker or entrepreneur. This is when I began to formulate my “confess and attack” strategy. I would tell potential business partners the impartial evident truth: I’m young and raw. Raw meaning “I’m still resourceful and still with my youthful strength”. But this doesn’t mean I don’t know what I’m doing or that I haven’t put in the time and energy to become a professional in my field.
Once I confessed what we both knew and explained my skills, I would attack their preconceived notions. I would decide to make a real deal by pushing conversation to them explaining if they were uncomfortable with me or my team after understanding my skills, then perhaps we weren’t a good business fit.
I took back control of the situation and found business partners who actually believed in me and my ability to succeed, instead of nervous investors ready to jump out of business deal at the first signs of trouble.

2. MAKE CONNECTIONS WITH SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE IN YOUR FIELD

As a young job seeker or entrepreneur, your connection and network is key. Think of this old and ancient adage, “Show me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are.” This adage is also applicable in the business world.
According to inspirational speaker Jim Rohn, “we are the average of the five people we chose to spend the most time with”. We often tend to emulate and imitate the people we’re closest to and, if those people are successful, your own chances of success rise is in a high proportion.
If your five closest companions are highly motivated and successful individuals, these qualities will likely drive you to work even harder. In fact, a study showed people who shared goals with others were 33% more likely to achieve those goals.
3. SPENDING TIME WITH SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE
In my own experience, spending time with successful people has allowed me to meet interesting individuals and expand my professional link. The relationships I’ve nurtured have been sincere, allowing me to help others as much as they offer guidance and support.

Romance3 Super Lies About Being With The Right Lover by Josiahdking(op): 11:11am On Oct 05, 2016

To help relationships to not fall short of their many-a-bliss, I take time to read posts by other bloggers and then bring out the limitations in them (if there is any). Some of what I am about to share with you here are lies cum limitations that flood some articles on relationships.

Ideally, there are many things you must see in your lover, before you can make a lifetime conclusion on whether he or she is the right one for you or not; not the lies you are about to read shortly.

Patiently read this short story…

Maxwell and Florence used to be high school lovers; theirs was a relationship envied by all; it seemed made from heaven, or something closer.

People who were jealous observed from afar. And those who truly appreciated got close to them enough to learn. Florence had no reason to have any ill feelings about Maxwell because, perfection was all written on him. He was such a guy that could file a lawsuit against a mosquito for biting her. Funny, you’ll say

And Florence was wonderful on her part. A take home to mama was she and even more. Beautiful, elegant, outstanding, a wife material, down-to-earth? She has been even more since the start of the relationship. Simply put, the relationship was gorgeous!

Maxwell is a decorated banker today; he excelled in every way. And as expected, he’s with the lady of his dream – Florence. It was a glorious wedding that they had. Florence is the Managing Director of a well-known firm – she commands money!

Unfortunately, however, they are heading to court today.

Every Jack, Francis and Mabel that envied them is raising eyebrows now. They are all surprised. They had thought this marriage was destined for the moon, and not the court. And it’s barely 6months of marriage. What could have gone awry?

They had shared everything, always talking to each other, and about each other. And ultimately, they seemed to have accepted each other as the best the other can be. Could this have been an assumption? Could this have been wrong signs of a relationship that’s wired to last?

Why is this proving to be the start of the demoralizing means which justified their unhappy end; why would they have woken up to the shame of their lives this day? Isn’t there a way back to the lovely moments they both enjoyed? Or why wouldn’t they just pick the broken pieces and make of them a mold that would stand the test of time?

Questions are more than answers. Answers courts wouldn’t even unveil; courts only give verdicts.

Are you still there?

I can see you sigh and even shake your head a little, even though this might be like one of those stories you see in the films or one of those you read in romance novels. No matter how this appears to you, it is not far from reality. Agreed?
Then, it is disheartening – and even worse – to see a great relationship or marriage crumble. And even more grieving to note that this happens every day. Sometimes, I wouldn’t just help but cry a little when I hear about a breakup or divorce. Why? Because another piece has been added to the devil’s success list. I sigh!

I wish I just can help everyone, every relationship enough. I wish every relationship would have a happy ending. More of perpetual bliss is what I wish every relationship enjoy, even when it is obvious that many would soon fall victim of this horrific circumstance. It is such a horrible experience. I pray you will never be a victim. Amen?

While I struggle so hard to believe why breakups and divorce happen, I wouldn’t be blinded to visible reasons why many have been – and some will still be – victims of this ill-fated venture.

The causes of heartbreaks therefore, is not far from lies people (including you) have believed ahead of marriages.

Now, let us consider the following lies…

Lie #3: That He or She is the one you share (almost) everything with.

That he or she is the go to person when any challenges arise doesn’t mean such deserves to go down the aisle with you; at least a friend could be in such a position. It is nothing to share your challenges with your lover. If you like, open up all that makes you human unto a man or woman, it doesn’t guarantee such person to not look at you one day and ask arrogantly that you sever all romantic ties between you two.
It is not enough to share your secrets, challenges, problems and fears with your lover.

The only thing that matters is what he or she would do about whatever you tell him or her. It is how he or she takes what you make them know that really is important. Handling resources and information well is what makes an outstanding lover! Isn’t that who you are? Mwah.

Lie #2: That He or She calls you all day, especially when you need it.

To me, only those who are shallow in their thoughts would take this hook line and sinker. It is sometimes funny how what make up a relationship are the very things that break it apart. That he calls you every second, every minute, and every hour of the day doesn’t guarantee a green card of bliss in relationship. It only takes a mental shift to get rid of your intimate feelings from his or her heart. That is not my wish – for you – though.

And what would you say? Over my dead body!

That He doesn’t call you like you expect doesn’t make a congenital failure of Him. He might not have grown up that way. Making Him or Her know how you are to be loved would save your relationship from a bitter experience of heartbeat.

Jokes EtcHow I Make My Billions Of Dollars In One Day - Mark Zuckerberg by Josiahdking(op): 6:25am On Sep 14, 2016
Few people in the history of money have made more than a billion dollars in a single day. It’s an elite club whose sparse ranks–which you probably don’t need more than two hands to tally–are held by the biggest of the boldface hedge-funders and tech-titans, including George Soros, Jeff Bezos and, well, you guessed it, Mark Zuckerberg.

One day this past January, Zuckerberg made $6 billion in the 24 hours following a particularly rosy Facebook quarterly earnings report. That’s $250 million an hour, $4,166,667 a minute, $69,444 a second. Median American household annual income was $53,657 at last count, meaning Zuckerberg made 29% more in a single second than a typical American family makes in an entire year. Even in the winner-take-all, second-Gilded-Age we’re currently in, that’s still a lot of gravy. And in the 50 minutes average Facebook users squander each day watching sneezing baby panda videos and wondering why all of their friends seem to take more fabulous vacations than they do, Zuckerberg made more than $200 million (at least they can take solace in the fact that Zuckerberg probably takes more fabulous vacations than all of their friends combined).

Check out this video to join Zuckerberg on his $6 billion day.
