• My new method of processing garri The machine line for my proposed automated Cassava processing into garri include a 2 tonne per hour diesel engine grating machine, two hydraulic pressers with the capacity of one tonne per hour, an automatic fryer (uses firewood as source of heat with an inbuilt rotary system above) with a capacity of one tonne of garri per day, mechanical sifter with the capacity of one tonne per day, a grinder with the capacity of 250kg per hour, bag stitching machine and a weighing scale. With this new method, one tonne of processed garri would be produced on a daily bases and this will not only benefit the farmers and women in the villages but also bring in profit for the owners. |
• Present method of processing cassava into garri in the villages In these villages, the processing of cassava tubers into garri involves uprooting and carrying the roots (after peeling and washing manually) to grater where it is turned into a wet mash, after which the water is allowed to drip for some days ( some communities now have screw jacks attached to a wooden presser to hasten the dripping process to less than an hour per batch). Then the mash is carried home for sieving and frying which takes up to two days to get a 50kg bag of fried garri. The whole process of sieving and frying is manual and cumbersome; that is the problem my plan is meant to solve. |
• Introduction My name is Henry Agbobu, from ika north east LGA of delta state. I studied economics and statistics from the University of Benin and graduated 2016. I am here to present to you a bankable business opportunity in the cassava value chain with the hope that worthy partners would align with me to help bring it to fruition and make a lifetime profit, become proud owners of a registered business and impact on the lives of these farmers positively. Next will be ‘the little story’ behind my proposal • My little story I call it my little story because although I have nurtured the idea of a better processing cassava facility since teenage times, it remained an idea until now. Having been shortlisted and trained by the bank of industry (Nigeria) on entrepreneurship development (which include creating a bankable business plan), business model canvas, strategic business management, MIS, marketing, and financial projections I am now able to see the whole picture. I was denied an opportunity of getting the 2,000,000 Naira bank of industry (GEF) loan because my guarantor could not provide a statement of net worth. That is why I am now seeking the help of fellow Nigerians. I have got the location of the factory set up ready, the quotations for the machines from credible suppliers are with me, the business name is DETHA GLOBAL FARMS and is registered with CAC. It has a business bank account. All these and more are what I did to meet up the terms of getting the needed fund from bank of industry but to no avail. So I turn on kind and business oriented Nigerians to help make this dream of mine come true. Further clarification on the factory would be provided. • Brief description of the business plan Cassava tubers are abundant in every part of delta state especially the villages but the processing of these tubers into garri takes farmers a lot of time and toil. My aim in setting up an automated garri processing factory in these villages stems from the huge profit potential on one hand and reduced labour for the farmers most of whom are women. |
Also note that the parade Commander and army officers including the soldiers would arrive camp today. Your camp at obubra has red soil all over the place so come with as many white shorts and shirts as you can cos u would have to change up to three times per day |

For those of you posted to cross river. I'd like to say welcome I'm writing from 245 battalion, Afi barrack. Just a word of advice for the pcm who will not be able to relocate to other states of their choice; 1. If you are not posted to calaber, IKOM or ogoja and its environs, be prepared to live a village life 2. There is no company in cross river so u should be ready to either teach in both private and govt schools, work in LGAs and some govt agencies and for those to be posted IKOM axis, you can find yourself in a cocoa enterprise. |
I AM INTERESTED IN THE PROGRAMME BUT I AM A SERVING CORPS MEMBER IN CROSS RIVER. HOW CAN I JOIN. 08148111524 |
