for clarity, i decided to make this post because many people doesn't understand what VAT is and what GDP is.

What is VAT?
VAT is Value Added Tax and it is simply a Tax on goods and services.
A tax on the value added to a product or service at each stage of production and distribution. And the final consumer pays this tax.

What is GDP?
GDP is Gross Domestic Product and it is a measure of country/state economy output.
A measure of the value of goods and services produced in a country over a period of time.

NB: While VAT is a tax on goods sold or services rendered, GDP is the value( total price including VAT) of that goods and services.
This is why GDP is what is used to determine the economic growth of a state/country at a particular time.

Hasn't anyone considered the facts that the FG and (likely) some states are buying up the available rice to either share as palliative or sell for 40k?
We are in the rice planting season which means no new stock in the market. Too much money chasing too few goods will ALWAYS result in price inflation anytime, any day.

Add in low yields this year and insecurity, you'll get your answer.

When demand is more than supply price must go up.
