Good evening house

Please I observe my 12v 4kwh Haisic battery charges rather fast from 11v to about 13.5 but takes ages to charge up to 14.6v. This happens both with solar charging and grid charge

Price-wise, there is no better deal. Functionality wise (Bluetooth monitor, etc), you may want to check Valtech or Mrreed

Thanks Mr. Obinna for the assistance on moving my 4pcs solar panels yesterday, got to Ikorodu pretty fast.
The panels reading were pretty good with each ranging between 40 - 43v and 6.7 - 7.8A open circuit at around 10am testing before installation.

Depending on your MPPT, three 650W panels may not supply enough voltage for ideal performance. Keep that in mind.

You may be better off doing 4*550w for a little bit more money.

Go with 3x650w, it will save you some cabling. Too much cabling sometimes dey affect efficiency

Depends on your budget. Good ones are pricey. What I would say you look around the forum, bring up a couple of names, with the price you comfortable with, and we choose for you.

It's cos of the load I want a 2.5kva. (washing machine, fridge and 1/2 horse power pumping machine)

You don't have a lot of options in the 12v category, since most brands would rather just make 24v hybrids at over 2kw.

Pls which other brand(s) for 2/2.5kva inverter would you suggest 12/24v

Normally, SMS brand is a low quality and unreliable brand.

Funny enough, a single company has like 3 names. Have forgotten but those in the business should know what I am talking about.

SMS charge controller, inverter, etc; is in same league as that battery brand named Lithium Deep Cycle Battery.

Talk too much and you start touching some people nerves

Agreed. Buy a cheaper 24v inverter and then spend the money saved on more panels and battery.

I think the price difference is due primarily to the portability of solar generators. I don't know, I am not an expert. However if I had enough money and a choice I would prefer to buy a solid high battery capacity lithium solar gen.

What happens when there's sudden cloud cover and your panel output drops lower than your load?

Not ideal. Get a battery, even if it's a small one that can at least offer that support for when there are sharp drops in irradiance.

I saw someone talk about getting an hybrid inverter with solar panels for use only in the afternoon and later get battery when he gets more funds.

Any danger or disadvantage of this pls?

Would you recommend a 24v over a 12v for a newbie

Powerful awesome inverter. If your area is affected by low voltage, as most places in Nigeria, get a good voltage stabiliser if you don't have one. It doesn't tolerate voltage lower than 190v.

Though you can adjust this if you have an SCP. Not recommended to drop the input voltage though. Can charge up to 45A and handle crazy surges.

Note, you practically can't change anything (charging current, voltage cut off, LVD, etc) on this inverter if you don't have an SCP. An SCP is attached.
