Music/RadioMore Than Music: How EHRA Is Building A Legacy Through Afrobeat by JTwarrior(op): 4:46pm On Jun 03
EHRA: A Journey of Purpose, Persistence, and Musical Evolution

David Kator Iortyer, professionally known as EHRA, is a Nigerian Afrobeat and Afropop artist whose story reflects resilience, growth, creativity, and unwavering dedication to his craft. Born on August 22, 1998, in Makurdi, Benue State, EHRA represents a new generation of African artists who are blending authentic storytelling with contemporary sounds to create music that resonates across cultures and generations.

Growing up in Makurdi, EHRA developed an appreciation for music at an early age. The rich cultural heritage of Benue State, often celebrated as the "Food Basket of the Nation," played an important role in shaping his perspective on life, community, and artistic expression. While many young people dream of success, EHRA transformed his dreams into action through discipline, education, and relentless commitment to self-improvement.

His educational journey began at Nativity Private School, Makurdi, where he completed his primary education in 2009. He later attended Baptist High School, Makurdi, graduating in 2016. Rather than choosing between academics and music, EHRA pursued both with equal determination. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and Human Ecology from the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, graduating in 2021.

This academic achievement demonstrates an important aspect of EHRA's personality: his belief that success is built through knowledge, discipline, and hard work. While many aspiring artists struggle to balance education and entertainment, EHRA successfully managed both worlds, proving that artistic ambition and intellectual growth can coexist.

EHRA officially began recording music in 2017, marking the beginning of a journey that has now spanned nearly a decade. Over these years, he has experienced the challenges that every independent artist faces—limited resources, industry competition, and the constant pressure to evolve creatively. Yet these obstacles have not discouraged him; instead, they have strengthened his resolve and deepened his understanding of the music business.

His sound is rooted in Afrobeat and Afropop, genres that have become global cultural forces. Inspired by some of Africa's biggest stars, including Omah Lay, Burna Boy, Asake, Blaqbonez, Wizkid, and Ayra Starr, EHRA has developed a style that combines melodic storytelling, emotional depth, rhythmic energy, and contemporary African influences. While his role models have helped shape his musical vision, he continues to carve out a unique identity that reflects his own experiences and perspective.

His growing catalog includes the EP "FATE", a project that represents both artistic maturity and personal reflection. The title itself suggests themes of destiny, purpose, and life's unpredictable journey-concepts that resonate strongly with EHRA's own experiences. Alongside the EP, he has released several singles, including "Jo Riddim," "Zone," "Nobody," "Your Side," and "Tsunami." Each release showcases different dimensions of his artistry, from infectious rhythms and dance-ready energy to introspective lyrics and emotional storytelling.

Beyond the recording studio, EHRA has demonstrated his ability to connect with live audiences. His performances at events such as the Abuja Food Festival and Gasoline Party have allowed him to share his music directly with fans while building his reputation as a dynamic performer. Live performance is often the true test of an artist's ability, and these appearances have contributed to his growth as an entertainer and stage personality.

One of EHRA's greatest strengths is his versatility. In addition to being a recording artist, he is also a Mix and Mastering Engineer and a Video Editor. These skills give him a unique advantage in today's music industry. By understanding both the technical and creative aspects of music production, he has greater control over his artistic vision. This independence enables him to maintain authenticity while continuously refining the quality of his work.

Currently based in Abuja, Nigeria, EHRA operates in one of the country's most vibrant and rapidly growing entertainment hubs. Abuja provides opportunities for networking, performance, collaboration, and exposure, all of which contribute to his ongoing development as an artist.

What makes EHRA's journey particularly inspiring is not merely the music he creates but the mindset he embodies. His story is one of persistence in the face of uncertainty, commitment to continuous learning, and faith in the power of dreams backed by action. Every song, performance, and project represents another step toward fulfilling a larger vision.

As the Afrobeat movement continues to dominate global music conversations, artists like EHRA are helping shape its future. With a solid educational background, diverse creative skills, years of dedication, and an expanding body of work, he stands as an artist with both potential and purpose.

The next chapter of EHRA's career promises growth, innovation, and greater impact. His journey from Makurdi to Abuja, from student to artist, and from dreamer to creator serves as a reminder that success is not an overnight achievement but the result of consistent effort, resilience, and belief in one's calling.

For EHRA, the story is still being written. Yet even now, his path reflects a powerful message: destiny favors those who remain committed to their vision, regardless of the obstacles they encounter. Through his music, creativity, and determination, EHRA continues to build a legacy that is uniquely his own.

Music/RadioRising Afro-fusion Artist Lazzazy Yo Unveils “DESTINY” Featuring Ayanfe by JTwarrior(op): 10:48pm On May 11
Lazzazy Yo and Ayanfe Connect on “DESTINY,” a Smooth Afro-Fusion Anthem Driven by
Emotion and Rhythm
Emerging Afro-fusion artist Lazzazy Yo steps into a new chapter with the release of “DESTINY,”
a captivating collaboration featuring acclaimed Nigerian vocalist Ayanfe. Layered with infectious
rhythm, emotionally charged melodies, and undeniable chemistry, the record arrives as a vibrant
soundtrack for connection, attraction, and unforgettable moments.
Produced by Eskimo, “DESTINY” seamlessly blends Afrobeat bounce, contemporary
Afro-fusion textures, and subtle Amapiano influences into a sound that feels immersive,
uplifting, and globally appealing. Rather than relying on overly dramatic storytelling, the song
captures the excitement of meeting someone whose energy instantly feels familiar, the type of
connection that feels written long before words are exchanged.
From the opening seconds, the track creates an atmosphere filled with groove, warmth, and
magnetic energy. Lazzazy Yo delivers a performance driven by emotional honesty, melodic
confidence, and smooth songwriting, while Ayanfe complements the record with soulful finesse
and vocal depth, bringing balance and refinement to every moment they share on the track.
“DESTINY” is about that instant connection you can’t explain,” says Lazzazy Yo. “We wanted
the song to feel timeless, exciting, and emotionally alive.”
That emotional sincerity has become one of the defining elements of Lazzazy Yo’s artistry.
Born Ernest Fasinu and raised in Lagos to Beninese parents, the fast rising artist has steadily
built a sound rooted in real life experiences, vulnerability, resilience, and modern African
creativity. Drawing inspiration from the cultural energy of Lagos alongside global influences, his
music exists at the intersection of Afro-fusion, melodic street rhythms, emotional storytelling,
and contemporary Afro-pop.

What separates Lazzazy Yo from many emerging artists is his ability to transform personal
emotions into records that feel universally relatable without sacrificing replay value or sonic
appeal. Whether delivering reflective melodies, infectious anthems, or emotionally layered
songwriting, his sound consistently balances authenticity with commercial energy.
Over the years, he has continued refining his identity through releases such as “Life Is Good
RMX” featuring renowned Nigerian rapper CDQ, “Millions” featuring ZaraStax, “One Man
Soldier,” and “Call Me Later”, records that showcased his versatility, evolving artistry, and
ability to move between introspective moments and vibrant feel good sounds.
The inspiration behind “DESTINY” was born from real emotions and observations about human
connection, the excitement, curiosity, attraction, and emotional tension that often come before
love fully reveals itself. Instead of approaching the song from a place of heartbreak or emotional
heaviness, both artists leaned into optimism, chemistry, rhythm, and escapism, creating a record
designed to make listeners feel good while still carrying emotional substance beneath the
surface.

Together, Lazzazy Yo and Ayanfe create a natural synergy that feels effortless and refreshing.
Their contrasting vocal textures and melodic interplay give the record a unique character
capable of resonating across clubs, beach settings, late night drives, intimate gatherings, and
everyday playlists.
As African music continues expanding across international audiences, Lazzazy Yo represents
part of a new generation of artists pushing Afro-fusion forward through originality, emotional
connection, and fearless self expression. Quietly building momentum through consistency,
growth, and authenticity, he continues positioning himself as one of the promising voices
emerging from Africa’s evolving music landscape.
With polished production, infectious replay value, emotionally rich performances, and
undeniable musical chemistry, “DESTINY” stands as more than just another release; it marks
another important step in the artistic evolution of Lazzazy Yo and a strong reminder of the
emotional power modern African music continues to hold worldwide.
“DESTINY” by Lazzazy Yo featuring Ayanfe is now available on all major streaming platforms.

CelebritiesDr. Crack Champions Long - Term Industry Growth by JTwarrior(op): 9:48pm On Jan 16
Dr. Crack Champions Long -Term Industry Growth Through Intentional Talent DevelopmentDr. Crack Champions Long-Term Industry Growth Through Intentional Talent Development

Olayinka Adebayo, popularly known as Dr. Crack, has consistently anchored his work in the creative and audio industry on a clear philosophy: sustainable industry growth must begin with deliberate and structured talent development.

Over the years, his contributions have extended far beyond commercial projects. Through an annual free summer training programme for teenagers, Adebayo has continued to invest significant time, resources, and expertise in early-stage creative education. The initiative introduces young participants to audio, media, and technology-driven creative disciplines at a formative stage, offering structured learning, mentorship, and real-world exposure rather than surface-level inspiration.

Sources familiar with the programme note that its scope goes beyond technical instruction. Participants are exposed to professional standards, work ethics, and the evolving role of technology in creative production. The objective, observers say, is to prepare young creatives not only for today’s tools but for an industry being rapidly reshaped by digital systems, automation, and emerging technologies.

Earlier this year, Adebayo reinforced this stance during a closed-door meeting with select stakeholders in the audio and creative sector. Addressing experienced practitioners, business owners, and key decision-makers, he made a strong case for increased investment in structured training and talent incubation. He stressed that the industry’s long-term viability depends on how effectively it prepares the next generation for technology-driven workflows.

In his remarks, Adebayo highlighted a growing disconnect between industry expectations and the readiness of upcoming creatives. While technology continues to advance rapidly, access to guided learning, mentorship, and professional environments remains limited for many young talents. He warned that without deliberate intervention, the gap between opportunity and preparedness will continue to widen.

Rather than treating the issue as a short-term challenge, Adebayo framed it as a strategic responsibility. He urged industry leaders to move beyond passive talent consumption and adopt more sustainable models that prioritize training, knowledge transfer, and long-term capacity building.

According to him, investment in people is no longer optional if the industry intends to remain relevant in an evolving technological landscape.

These initiatives and conversations form part of a broader commitment to shaping an ecosystem where creativity and technology develop in tandem. For Adebayo, the focus remains on building pathways that connect experience with access, legacy practices with modern systems, and emerging talent with practical, future-ready skills.

Industry observers describe his approach as one marked by quiet execution, deliberate collaboration, and impact over visibility. Whether through youth training programmes or high-level industry engagements, the underlying objective remains consistent: preparing creatives for a future that demands both artistic sensitivity and technical competence.

In an industry often driven by immediacy, Olayinka Adebayo’s long-term perspective continues to stand out reinforcing a simple but often overlooked truth: the future of the creative and audio industry will be defined not just by technology, but by how well people are prepared to use it.

EventsDbog Empowers 450 Pupils With School Materials In Oladipo School Complex by JTwarrior(op): 8:15pm On Sep 18, 2025
On Tuesday, 16th September 2025, The Bond of Greatness Humanitarian Initiative (DBOG) carried out another impactful outreach by distributing school bags, exercise books, and pens to 450 pupils across four schools within the Oladipo School Complex, Oke-Oja Amukoko under the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Education Authority.

The beneficiary schools included:
- Oladipo Primary School 1, led by Mrs. Ezeoke Christiana Chineye, ably represented by the Assistant Head Mistress, Mrs. Timehin Marybeth Aduke, who received the items on behalf of the school.

- Oladipo Primary School 2, under the leadership of Mrs. Jaiyeola Abímbólá Omowunmi.

- Sari-Iganmu Primary School 1, headed by Mrs. Ogunleye Sabanal Ojuolape.

- Sari-Iganmu Primary School 2, with Mrs. Fagbola Omoniyi Toyin as the Head Mistress.

During the exercise, the President of DBOG, Mr. Adewale Adenuga, addressed the pupils, making it clear that the main reason for the outreach was to support indigent pupils whose parents could not afford basic school materials. He encouraged the children to always be of good conduct, remain focused on their studies, and remember that they can achieve greatness in life, regardless of their current circumstances. He reminded them that nothing should discourage them from pursuing their dreams.

In addition to the general distribution, a heartwarming moment occurred when Master Oloyede Joshua, a Primary 2 pupil of Oladipo Primary School 1, was presented with a new pair of school sandals. This gesture came after the DBOG team observed during an earlier assessment visit that he had been attending school in torn bathroom slippers, lacking proper footwear.

Speaking on behalf of the schools, Mrs. Timehin Marybeth Aduke expressed deep appreciation to The Bond of Greatness Humanitarian Initiative for their generosity and goodwill, noting the positive impact such gestures have on the morale and learning experience of the children.

The event witnessed the presence of the four Head Mistresses along with several teachers from the schools, who warmly welcomed the initiative.

The DBOG team was led by its President, Mr. Adewale Adenuga, alongside:

Mr. Samuel Ojo – Vice President
Mr. Olusoji Oyedele – Secretary
Mr. Raphael Adebisi – Treasurer I
Mr. Peter Adewoye – Public Relations Officer
