Guys...is this Hios good or full of crap.? And do I need to unroot my phone before flashing the file?

Does anyone else here have call log displaying empty... Its so annoying.. Whenever I go to the dialer app, it says call history empty...I tried everything...restarting the phone...making calls...nothing seems to solve it... Help, anyone

Then you should deduce by now that its not a build issue... I rooted mine after Updating to that Build....

I'm so furious... Don't know what to do...like I need root access so baaad..ugh!

For those who can't root their c8 because they can't boot to twrp recovery after successfully flashing it...let's narrow down what's common to all of us on the basis of
1)computer used
2)where did u get ur files(twrp file)
3)what version of sp flash tool u used
4)when did u buy ur phone or what build is it, November build?
5)other important details
For me:
1..windows 8.0
2.the link from XDA developers
3.the latest version
4.Early December-November build
5.build number is ok...updated to latest version

Bros there is something u are not doing right. Is not the November buids dat is preventing u. Becos have rooted more 21 tecno c8 for people without any issue both d November and December builds.
As per the fast charge what I noticed was dat from 0% it takes b/w 3.5hrs and 4hrs to full charge. from 15% it takes 3hrs. b4 it took up to 4.5hrs to 5hrs.

I really don't knw what d prblm is with yours oh.. bt i can assure u wit my little experience its not d Build thats making you not to b able to boot to recovery

Thanks for responding, but I'm still not quite convinced that I'm doing something wrong, if I was...what is it? I followed the steps carefully for more than 10 times with no luck...and to make matters even weirder its not only me facing the EXACT problem... This is Frustrating

You are not doing it right, i have rooted and unrooted my phone more than 5 tyms..(its not about build ). there are two things involved....1. Ur sp flash tools isnt working or the super user file you are installing isnt ok... 09099341977 if u need assistance

Yes, he's doing it right... I bought this phone twice...the first was easily rooted but strangely I can't root this one... Isn't weird that all of us cannot boot into twrp after successful flashing the recovery img...and we happen to own the November builds.. Do the math..

Hi everyone, I'm facing difficulties in rooting my tecno c8 and the only logic explanation is that November builds are sort of unrootable by the known methods... This is the 2nd c8 to own and I rooted the first one which I had bought in October, so i know exactly how to do it...don't tell me I'm doing it wrong. If there's an update on how to work around that then please do share.. I know I'm not the only one facing this. And we all have one thing in common, we bought the November builds...
Again, what's this fast charge feature I hear about...I updated mine but didn't notice no fast charging... The phone still takes 3 hours to fully charge... So for those claiming to notice fast charging...how long does it take for ur device to fully charge if it were below 15%?
