See it's always good to compare and contrast on views or opinions from people but you need to be careful otherwise you get overwhelmed by people's ideologies. The thing you must first understand about your decision or journey into IT is remove he mindset of money making, secondly always look for solution in any situation, rather look for complicated problems and how you can solve them, thirdly you must be someone with a very good abstract thinking, solution creation mindset...

When you have analyzed all, I said in the last paragraph then, start thinking of what area you think is best fit for you in the IT world. For Example, if you decide you want to be a full stack developer, you must understand logic, processes, flow chart etc. Do you have all these in place? if NO, do you want to still become a developer, then you must develop these hard skills along the line or you move into another line. So, in all you must have options and be flexible to switch until you get to where you're very comfortable

thank you for your kind reply. I understand you, but oftentimes in decision making, what you think is best might not be because you're limited in information. So o think it's always best to compare and contrast other people opinions. Someone opinion might set you on the right track you never can tell.

See save yourself the cost invest that money in something else. You can learn these skills on your own without paying anyone a dime. I learnt everything I know on my own without paying a single kobo. All you need is discipline to go at it every single day. No matter the set back you keep plugging away at it every day. If you pay these people sure they will give you some sort of structure and knowledge but in the end you will still need to go back and actually learn and understand these things yourself.

Software engineering is not for the week its better you get into it on your own without paying anyone should in case you later realise its not for you. And yeah jobs are not at a premium currently, so I won't advise you spend that amount of money on learning something that you will struggle to get job from after. Instead have a plan A and plan B don't put all your eggs in one basket. Invest that money in a plan B while you sit your ass down and grind out this path as a plan A.

I intend to do software engineering program. Basically I just want to have a good skill. I dropped from school few years ago, I was studying mechanical engineering at Uniuyo, but things became tougher after I lost my dad so I dropped. I just want to be skilled in something. Also, I just love problem solving and logic

If you are really driven by tech, go for IT.

Lot of people are getting jobs. You simply need to be superb. That simple.

Please I'm cut up in dilemma, there's is a school in Lagos called tech365 I think the school is good and on the other hand I'm also considering Aptech though their fee is premium. I don't know if you can guide me on which one to choose...tech365 is 2.5m and Aptech is over 4.5m
