chukxie: If you're shipping a very large volume of goods, shipping is the better option of the two. On the other hand, if you're not shipping a very heavy volume of goods, and you're hasty to receive and dispose off your goods, then air cargo is the better option. Bottom line is, the preferred mode of shipping is contingent on the importer. I will be in south korea soon and i wants to be dealing on laptops, thats my reason of creating this post. Can say 50 laptops be send via airmail and i will still make good progit from it? |

acadollar: Visa rules eased for foreign graduates 음성듣기 By Jung Min-ho
The Ministry of Justice eased visa restrictions Tuesday for foreigners with a Korean college degree in an effort to keep more international talent in the country.
The policy change will enable foreigners who have earned bachelor’s or higher degrees in Korea to get an E-7 (designated activities) visa, even if what they do in the workplace is unrelated to their major. Previously, that relevancy was required.
A GPA of at least 3.0, a national certificate and recommendations of professors are no longer required from foreigners to apply for a D-10 (job seeking) visa.
Also, the length of stay for D-10 visa holders has been extended from one to two years.
Meanwhile, obtaining permanent residency in Korea has become easier.
Foreigners who received their bachelor’s degree in science or engineering in Korea are now eligible to get permanent residency if they lived here for more than three years and their annual salary is higher than Korea’s per capita gross national income (GNI). In 2013, that was $26,205.
Previously, the opportunity for permanent residency was limited to foreigners that studied one of only nine programs in college ― IT, technology management, nanotechnology, digital electronics, biotechnology, transport, new material, environment and energy.
Those who earned their master’s or a higher degree in Korea are eligible to get permanent residency regardless of their majors, if they lived in Korea more than three years and their annual salary is higher than the GNI per capita.
The D-9 (international trading) visas will be issued for foreigners that invested more than 100 million won ($91,000) into Korea as long as they have a master’s or higher degree from here.
Degree-seeking students in their master’s or doctor’s program are now allowed to bring two of their immediate family members or spouse to Korea after the first six months.
The number of foreign students in Korea has increased to 86,410 in 2014, a 6.7 percent increase from 80,985 in 2009.
“We expect more foreign talent to help boost the economy,” a ministry official said.
As part of its efforts to tackle the nation’s declining labor force, the ministry is expected to continue to open more doors for foreign talent.
In December, the government said it also plans to relax the current points-based system to give permanent residency to more talented foreign workers.
As the nation’s birth rate remains stubbornly low at 1.19 children per woman, many concerns have been raised that it could seriously erode the national economy’s growth potential. The rate is one of the lowest in the world, along with Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and Singapore.
The government believes that the working age population is 73 percent of the nation’s total this year ― the highest rate ever, but it is expected to decrease from 2017.
If the government’s efforts to boost the birth rate continue to be futile, many experts say that the only other way to keep the country afloat is attracting more foreign talent. Hmmmmm, i started reading this thread again and i came across this vital info that our oga posted and i love it. The reason i am sharing thia now is so that you can plan for your tomorrow by today. Hey house, i greet all of una for here o. Am in abuja now to do my legalization. The process is not as easy as i thought o. You must first go ministry of education first to do somethings and then u will now go ministry of foreign affairs to do the rest. For those of hoping that it will be a one day thing, please take that out of your head o. If you live in abuja, u can have all the time u need to do it but if u stay outside abuja, then u are either going to be spending your cash in hotel or u sleep under bridge for may be one week. And that 5 working days is not a guarantee that u will get it o. After that education own, u will face foreign affairs. I have to try to get an insider who promise to do it for me and i will take it tomorrow. Off courses cash flow. D God that help me is that i have a friend in abuja whose house i am staying now. Nigeria nawa o. Please start your preparation on time o. JUGREENCY, REPORTING FROM ABUJA |

travelxpat: Actually no country issues work permit for students..like acadollar who reside there has stated.working as a student is illegal but no penalty for that.It will even be very difficult to work and study during your language classes.most languages classes are for 4hrs daily from mondays to thursday..except if the school will work on your Study plan, which is very rare.but most times if you are about 5 to 6 persons ypu can decide how you want the classes to be run and choose your time (Russia as an example) reason is that the language sections is not dependant on the school itself (very very independent) I will suggest that those who are actually willing to work should take their time to complete the language course work and take the TOPIK exam, which qualifies you for use in getting a good job even if you decide to defer your main course to a later date. I have not been there but I believe language school system is thesame everwyhere. Thank u sir. But that Language nor go easy o. Na drawing o. I may be wrong sha but i just fi it wont be easy. travelxpat: Pls let me just chip this in..language school in abuja deals with general korean language for communication not for course foundation.I have called then and asked questions.the course is for four months and its free. I had my msc in russia and studied all thru in russian language. The korean lnaguage course will be different for studu purpose.this means if u r going for engineering, you will be taken thru the basics like mathematics, physics and korean language..and for medicine..biology will be inclusive .this is just for you to understand the terms in korean languave and have basic foundation for easy communication . Therefore with my previous experience and phone calls i have made to the korean center in abuja.applyin to study korean language in korea does not deny you visa.infact that is more recognised than going there to study in english language..this is the reason scholarship is available and for thos willing to apply for scholarship.please it is late for graduate studies but gor undergraduate studies ensure you call or visit the korean center latest by may/june as that application is yet to start. Enough of rumours lets work with facts Thank you sir |
