We tried aloe Vera on my niece she didn't stop. The worst is that she sucks two hands ooo. I tried wearing her long socks when she came to spend holidays at my place. Then she was one year and ten months. If u see the way she will shout with all her eyes wide open, no body go tell u to remove anything u wear her. Put any biter substance, she either licks it or robs it off. She is three already and actively sucking. It doesn't look like she will stop anything soon. It's appears its already affecting her dentition

Wow. Its a very difficult habit to stop. I learnt it affects dentition. God Pls help me

what i did was to wear it for her 24/7 for a whole week, by the time i stopped she had forgotten about it. You would have to change the mitten regularly. I hope it works for you too...

That's what I do too. It's almost 2 weeks I started and she hasn't forgotten. She still tries to suck the 2 fingers even while inside mitten. I hope she forgets soon or she will have to keep wearing the mitten ad infinitum

It will become harder to stop it as she gets older and used to it. Wear her those mittens that cannot be easily removed. She will stop before you know it.

Thanks

The story of us...mine is 7months+ and sucks her thumb...
my mum said I should allow her now and stop her when she is 1yr+. That, that was when she stopped me. she said me I was sucking index and middle finger just like your lo. she said, she used masking tape or bandage and will always tell me there is an injury there and within few weeks I forgot completely...

I just hope this will work for us too.

I hope it works.

Pls mums, is there any successful way of stopping baby from sucking his/her fingers? When I noticed LO singled out 2 of her fingers (index and middle) and started sucking them repeatedly, I became worried and resorted to wearing her mittens and socks. I thought she was already forgetting as she hardly put that hand in her mouth but I still found out she sucks them at any given opportunity. Saw her sucking them few mins ago, she pulled the mitten (this mitten isn't the regular type, quite long...) Pls how can I stop her, everyone including hubby said I should leave her to suck but I don't want her to. How long will I continue to cover her hands? Make una help me o. She's 3 months and 2 weeks old.

What do u apply on her body after bath? stop it for a while and watch her. She might be allergic to the soap and oil. My ds had rashes on his face the first week,i was advised to discontinue his oil as he might be allergic to it. I applied coconut oil d following morning and by evening d rashes started disappearing. I continued using the coconut oil for him even for his hair. He'll be 10weeks tmrw and he's spotless.

I'm having the same rash issues. I use Johnson oil for her hair but don't apply on her face. Maybe I will try coconut oil for her hair. Do you apply the coconut oil on his face? My dd is 11 weeks

Avocado should not be cooked
If you want to give your baby avocado puree, simply scoop the avocado and mash in a plate for your baby to eat

Ok

You can give your Lo pap and puree's at 4months. Fruits like avocado pear, carrot (should be cooked before blending). Some companies produce cereals for 4months, I can't remember their names but you can check online or other sabi mamas would help you with their names. Also check one of our mama's blog (alphandmaiden) for more information. It was really helpful to me, God bless her .
For the rash, I noticed whenever he use baby oil on my lo's face he develops rashes, so I stopped. So check if there is anything you might be doing that brings on the rash.
Well done mama.

Hi mums, I'm new here.

My baby is 11 weeks old, I will be resuming work by the time she's 4 months. What food can I introduce at 4 months: pap, purees? I'm not exclusively breastfeeding.

Also she keeps have recurring rashes on her face. I've used sudo cream and agnesia powder. Initially it cleared off fast but since it keeps coming back, not clearing up fast. She sweats on her neck but doesn't have rashes there. I use all Johnson's product but just bought sebamed soap, yet to use it. I hope it works.

Please help a first time mum, thanks.
