Good day. Please for anyone who has gotten admission into Western Illinois University, how long after sending your admission documents did you get a response?
I have sent all my documents since January and what the school said was they'll refer someone to me after my documents have been reviewed. But I am yet to get a response since.
Please I'll just like to know how long it took for anyone who got a response from WIU.

Hello! I am still waiting for mine too. People who applied during November and early December 2020 has gotten a consideration message. Ours will be in march first week there about according to the school of graduate studies. They told me so. Even my coordinator said same. You can call yours or send a mail to verify. Departments defers though.

Yes, I got same reply on the 23rd of Dec 2020 and by 31 Jan 2021, I got acceptance letter from the University.

Please is it for fall 2021? I applied too and they sent a message to me that they have submitted my documents to my department that they will get back to me and nothing yet.
See the message I got below:

Your application for admission and corresponding material have been sent to the appropriate academic department for consideration. As departmental admission processes vary, we cannot give you an exact time frame when a decision will be made. However, you will be notified by email, followed by a formal letter through the postal service, as soon as we know the department's decision.

I am still waiting ooo. God please help me.

Do you meet the minimum requirement for admission in those schools? I mean TOEFL, GRE, and GPA requirements? How strong are your reference letters? Do they require essays? You can do a rough estimate of your compatibility with a school on msinus (msinus.com).
Usually if you meet the requirements of schools, they give admission, albeit conditionally.

Thanks for answering. They both waived GRE for me and only one required English test, which I don't have. But they later asked me to submit like that. I could not go through the reference letters, i declined to see it. They don't require essays. Although, I have told them to tell me why I was rejected. I have applied again to same universities and chose other programs but I am not satisfied until I get to know the reason for my rejection.

1. Email the 2 schools, that denied you and RESPECTFULLY ask them the cause/reasons for the denial(s).

2. Look into the reason(s) and work on it/them, against your remaining/next applications.
