It is no longer news that Nigerian investigative journalist, David Hundeyin was detained at Harare Airport, Zimbabwe on Wednesday, while on transit to another undisclosed country, the news now is that he has regained his freedom after over 11 hours. Hundeyin took to his Twitter account to lament how he was locked inside a smelly, small room immediately he landed in Zimbabwe. Troops of 192 Battalion Nigerian Army operating in 81 Division Area of Responsibility have again on Tuesday 18 July 2023 intercepted a suspected international drug syndicate smuggling a truck load of substance suspected to be Cannabis Sativa (Marijuana) en route Sango Otta in Ogun State. Responding to actionable intelligence, troops conducted stop and search operations along Ajilete Road in Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State, during which they intercepted and impounded the suspected truck without Registration number, loaded with 397 wraps of substance suspected to be marijuana. A Nigerian private airline, Max Air, has confirmed that it got contaminated fuel from Octavus Company which eventually led to the grounding of its 5N-MHM aircraft and sanctions by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
