So if his mum gives approval then you will give him free sex until he gets tired and go back to the one he truly loves when its time. Kontinue
His mum is not in the same town with us. This is like buying time too, I'll get to know him without sex messing things up. The lady already knows the stand of his mum as per their relationship

So you want to end things or what??
Shit. Your are definitely insecure & clinging.

Eventhough he's in a relationship with you, he is still his own person. He should be able to talk to his ex or anyone he want as long as he is being honest about it. Or is there something extra??
I have been in this situation before. The guy lied to me about how his mum wont allow him marry from my town, only to see on social media that he got married to 'a friend' he told me about, this friend also happens to be the lady he told me about when I asked about his relationship status.
I'm just trying to be careful.
Family"My Mum Does Not Want Me To Marry Her Friends Daughter" by Juliusdaughter(op): 10:32pm On May 30, 2020
This is what my boyfriend said to me when I asked about his relationship status before I went into the relationship with him, he said hes recent ex is the daughter of his mummy's friend and the only reason his mummy does nor want them together is because she is not about to let their relationship(my boyfriend and the lady) ruin the friendship she has with the mother of the lady in case things dont go as planned between them.

I recently got to find out he is still talking to the lady and because of that I have not been in talking terms with him. I dont know what to do, he keeps saying he loves me and he is not with her anymore because of what his mum said.

I dont want to break up with him just yet for this, he is the only guy that I have been with that knows how to say he is sorry, he always asks what the problem is and want us to talk about it. He doesnt come across as a proud person, he listens to me but I find him a bit traditional.
I have also told him no sex until I get to meet his mum and she gives her approval, he also do not have a problem with this.
What do I do please

I don't think it's normal for a guy below 40.
He is slightly above 30, tall and slim

What's the will of your parentshuh?

Sometimes your parents may not know what's the will of your own marriage. Never forget that marriage is personal. It's not a community service or doing anyone favour.

It's actually being in love and romance of your lifetime. And so your parents may not be into your world but surely every good parents are wishing their children have a better marriage than they had.

It's up to you, so that when you fall or still standing it's up to you.
Our parents are emotionally manipulative hypocrite. Some of them are not even happy in their own marriages and they feel they know what is best for their kids. I'm in same dilemma as you. Heaven knows I won't forgive either of them if I loose this good guy and fall in the wrong hands

what is your father's take on this? I think u should focus more on him, doesn't matter how elderly he is, you can rely on his counsel more than her. Men are more rational in their thinking. If he too objects, find out why. I can't say much about ur mum cos na ur mama she be however an irrational person can't be granted sole access to decide for u. Ur father is still alive thank God. Explore that route more. Even if u two are not close at all.
Hmm
I wish
I know her, it won't take her time to get into my dad's head and make him work against me too
I guess am by myself now

Are you financially secure?
Do you live with your parents?

Get a nice place of your own and secure your bag, whosoever you choose to be with, they will accept at the end when you are independent & don't depend on them for financial stability.
This doesn't mean you'll disrespect them. Generally people/parents/folks just respect you when you are independent.

Success is everyone's friend. Remember that.
The truth is I cannot even try that else the whole family will hear of how a single girl like me wants to start living alone in the same town that my parents own a house.

First of all you are not alone on such experience. My mum never talked to me about period nor sex education and I was the only girl then. Brace urself and be strong. Life goes on. I do have a issue tho, besides her not accepting this guy, have you really looked into the matter properly? The moment I left my father's house, I did everything opposite. I started buying goat meat cos my mum didn't like it, etc. Be careful to be sure u don't want it just cos she said no. Marriage is not something u enter to spit someone with. Now I have my own daughter, I am doing everything differently cos I know what the opposite looks and feels like. Growing up, I caught myself once or twice thinking what if she isn't my real mum. My daughter is my world and I let her know everyday.
She has never gotten angry with my other siblings and call them names, na only me she dey see and its cos I don't talk, so she intentionally do that to hurt me more.
I am not saying she can't have a say in who I plan to marry but it should be because of more serious issue and not just this. She doesn't even want to get to know him. That's so annoying, neither can I bring home a guy from another tribe. Why does she want me to do?

FamilyShould I Ignore Him Or Keep In Touch? by Juliusdaughter(op): 8:45pm On Jan 27, 2019
I met a new guy after my friend's saga. We met late last year and he's made his intentions known. I've not really given him a YES answer but my actions have proved that I'm really interested.
We have had some video calls and we've seen once. The problem I have now is that he doesn't give attention. No calls from him, I'm usually the one to message him first and I've gotten tired of that. I'm fed up of making excuses on his behalf like maybe he's fixed up or smth. Do I have to expressly say YES to his proposal bfr he starts making effort to be in touch? I'm trying hard not to contact him for a while but it's kind of hard cos I really like him.
I'd like to get more inputs from a man's point of view so I'd know how to go about it
Advice pls.

Op, I understand this wella... He maybe interested in you, but will never ask you out. If you like wait till enternity you will not even hear that from him.

What the guy did was to make himself attracted to you and you fell for it ( It is not a crime anyway). You are the one crazily in love with her and you are losing your mind.

Whether he feels the same way about you, nobody can say. It's 50/50 chance.. When a guy uses such a technique to get a lady it is difficult to tell his true intention, because he is in control of his balls

There are three things I think you can do:
1. Act the same way. No matter how long, do not call him or message him. ( I know you can't do this 'cos your emotion is involved). This is the best to know his true intention.

2. Make your feeling known to him and hear him out.

3. Continue the way you been doing with him maybe he will have a change of heart.. lol
Thank you

The guy probably has more important things to do. It is good for you to call and make the first move in a relationship but don't do all the work. If he can't find time to call you or message you or keep in touch, then you are wasting your time. Never throw yourself at someone.
Thank you

Don't throw yourself at him. The signs are obvious. Back off.

This is not about yes or no. He's lost interest. Do not initiate contact again. And don't raise the issue again until he gets into it again angry
Thank you. I'm starting to feel like I'm forcing myself on him. He reads my messages sometimes and doesn't reply until I send another one again. But he is hardly online too

RomanceUPDATE: Can You Marry A Girl That Refused To Date You Years Ago? by Juliusdaughter(op): 10:06am On Dec 09, 2018
Thank you all for you inputs, unfortunately I couldn't modify my post since it got to FP.
I was a 16 when I entered uni. 17 when guys were asking me out. I had some unrealistic measures then. Like not dating a guy from my school and not dating someone too older than I am. My ex was barely 4 years older than me while this other one was 8 years older. The age alone was enough to put off a 17 years old. I chose my ex cos he wasn't a student of my school and he was just a little older than me. Cheating is in DNA if I must say, if not I'd have dated my ex, this guy and even some more.
It's not my fault he kept on asking me out while I was in a relationship. I didnt for once cheat on my ex. Neither did I have sex with someone else, as oppose what some people said.
I broke up with my ex almost 8 months bfr this one asked me out again. I saw him as a frnd and someone I could trust. So I said YES. We started dating and less than two weeks he told me we might not be able to get married because of some family stuff from his side. I was ready to back off but he held on to me and we continued. So sad we were still in contact even few hours until his WEDDING cry yes! He got married yesterday, and he was actually using me to cheat on his wife. It wouldn't have mattered wether I said yes to him 3 or two years ago. He would have used me same way he just did.
I don't think I deserve a man like that either. I am ready to move on past my ex and him too. Why would he deceive me into a relationship when he knows he's getting married? We were cool as frnds, I would have attended his wedding too...
I have learned that some guys are not worth your faithfulness. In as much as you want to hold on to them, be open to other suitors too.
He just destroyed a cool friendship cry been crying since I found out.

You are mere gold digger.
How? I didn't date him then cos I was with someone. Not that I refused to date him because he was broke and now he's rich
