All this talk is getting this case nowhere.

It doesn't matter how much the buyer did or did not pay for the waybill, he didn't receive the item so a refund is due to him. I would personally advice you take the matter to court if no settlement plan is reached, the contract was the delivery of goods and there was a breach. That way you have legal backing. Forget all those advising "bring police", "bring soldier", you don't know who they also know and you'll just end up spending your time and money.

I know it sounds heartless, but the fulfillment agent (which is the driver ) is ultimately liable for the loss. You aren't responsible for getting him to pay up, that's Omic's job. He has agreed to provide a service so he bears the total risk.

You don't have issues with Omic, yours is with the seller.

All these talk about what should or shouldn't have been is bygone.

I think to limit your liability as a seller, please kindly state the risks involved in the type of courier service you choose to use. If the customer accepts it, fine.

I could remember when Mikky had issues with some people's items and he had to give them a refund. I don't see how this case is different, home delivery or not.

You missed the part where the buyer claimed he paid for home delivery too?how come you believe the seller and all of a sudden discarded the buyer claims,without any evidence
And again I am asking you was the buyer told of any break down charges,even when the seller called the buyer to tell him it was 3k,did he inform the buyer he sent it by bus?did the seller know all this information and hid it from.the buyer who tot his item was coming via home delivery and was promised a waybill number?
Seller never indicated he broke down the charges the way omicpet broke it down,
So try to calm down and let everyone tell there side of the story justly.

At the very least you send the package via a service that can be held responsible if anything happens.Buyer needs to get some greedy lot arrested.

Drivers are not our employees , park waybills is traditional method of forwarding items via means of drivers who ply the route , once item has been handed to a driver( who in turn receives payment for his service to deliver ) and communication between driver and recipient has been established , item delivery is now sole responsibility of the driver to the receiver and receivers responsibility to receive his item from driver .

There my friend is one of the reasons why they are other unique services .

Now I’ll ask you a question ,

Can you be liable for an item that’s not in your jurisdiction or under the jurisdiction of your coy .

Our service ended at the point of handing item to driver and at point where driver established communication with the receiver .

Where was this rule written?please you lots should look for a way to solve this ish.

Last week, there was a serious issue which didn't go down well with some of you guys or maybe all of you guys, the case between paschallville and sureguy078 regarding the unaccounted money after a transaction from sureguy078 to paschallville. It will be evil of me to act like I want you all to forget about it. In business trust is really important and if possible it's everything, I hate to be part of the bad eggs that discourages some people from doing free and effortless transactions(pay before delivery).... But yes I acted all shady I won't deny that, nothing I say now will justify what I did in the sense that I blocked the guy. I wasn't thinking at all when I did that I was truly scared because, I fell into the hands of rogues when I went to purchase the system after sureguy078 had made payment to me and after purchasing the system from the dude I was met and paying him, the dude and his guys turned all around and cornered me and collected the system back and with the cash...I am not a kid that anyone will do that.. but for me letting go of all those things, they were armed, about two guys..(after transacting, I didn't get back the transaction money from them, they took my s20, and they took their laptop back)... I guess that's how they lure their victims to rob them cos I met them through JIJI. I have been really depressed ever since, I won't lie cos I am the biggest loser here... yea sureguy got his money back... he did all he had to do to get his money.. I personally contacted him that morning.... I dont know how a scammer would scam and have change of heart.. I'm just saying.. that morning on the call with sureguy was Khayflux, My elder bro and I. I opened up to my elder bro, who also sells gadget and he told me no matter what happens in a deal, its wrong to stall your client, always keep them posted even if it doesn't g well for you.. and that was how he assisted me to call sureguy, in which sureguy invited khayflux from his end......me and my bro kept pleading to sureguy to give us little time but it seems his hands were tied... I know almost everybody would not want to believe me.. a deal went south...infact I wanted to run cos I had no insurance or so ever to pay back... my bro was mad at me too for keep sureguy in the dark...sureguy threaten to pick me up, I had no option than to place it in the hands of my parents.. they scolded me for sure and even want me to stop this business but I can't cos this is how I fend for myself..I was assisted by my parents to pay sureguy back.. pls believe me that the same 220k sureguy gave me, is different from the same 220k he received.. even my sister bank statement can testify to how he received 220k from my parents in which the transaction came to sureguy through my sister's account (Oscar).. so all am saying is that am truly sorry, this little thing I did, people were very fast to castigate.. at least its what they saw and heard... but I had come out to tell you all what happened..I won't mention names but some people here have sent me over 700k on different occasions, even 1 million and I deliver, if the deal doesn't go through they receive their money back.. (they can testify to that)..... deep down in their hearts they will try to question but because of that trust.. some still come to my dm for a deal but I haven't been in the right state of mind to help them cos I have already been tagged a scammer here.. the reason Khayflux struck his neck out for me is because we have actually met before and transacted... and to me he is a friend turned brother... aside Nairaland I don't know him but he helped me..... he made sure everything all worked out smoothly... Surguy078, pls forgive me, I am truly sorry. I'm not a scammer or a thief... in-fact I am texting you all from my laptop, the very same one I bought from rakiticbarca.. I don't have a phone due to how I lost it in that process. but God will do it for me.. so also, I am apologising to the overall tech family here on this thread.. if you don't see me well, its alright but I pray you all have a change of heart towards me.. I will be more transparent with my client and more discreet.. I will never do a transaction here asking anyone to send me money first.. lets work with that first.. then gradually I hope to gain you all trust once again and do clean business.. thanks to my big brothers here illeriola and rakicticbarca... I won't forget mr sell2us for his generosity... khayflux... and of course sureguy078 for advising me in your little ways to reshape and strengthen me.
