A Modern Hotel Design Project – Blending Comfort, Function, and Simple Elegance I recently worked on the design of a modern hotel and suite, and I thought it would be helpful to share the idea behind the project and how the design came together. The main goal from the start was simple: to create a hotel that feels welcoming, works efficiently, and still looks good years down the line. The Design Idea Instead of overcomplicating things, the building was designed with a clean and calm look. Simple forms, balanced proportions, and neutral colors were used so the hotel doesn’t feel loud or outdated with time. The flat roof and straight lines give it a modern feel, while small details on the walls help add depth and character without making the building look busy. Layout & Planning The building is arranged around a central open space, which helps with natural light and airflow. This makes the environment more comfortable for guests and reduces the need for constant artificial lighting during the day. Parking and movement were also carefully planned so guests and vehicles can move in and out easily without confusion or congestion. Guest Comfort in Mind Every design decision was made with the end user in mind: A clear and easy-to-spot entrance Open, breathable spaces Landscaping that adds beauty without blocking the building The idea was to make guests feel relaxed the moment they arrive. Practical Design for Our Climate Because of the climate, window placement, shading, and greenery were carefully considered.
