EventsRe: Nigerian Couple Tear Marriage Certificate At Their Wedding (Video) by Kaa4(m): 7:46am On Apr 25
The certificate is more for the woman than for the man. She will always need to prove that she changed her name. It was more of her property than his.

I have not seen my own marriage certificate since I got married 29 years ago!!!
RomanceRe: All Men Just Want Sex”? Or Are You Misreading It? by Kaa4(m): 7:41am On Apr 25
Kalatium:
This is one of the most repeated statements out there:

“All men want is sex. Once they get it, they leave.”

It sounds convincing, especially if someone has experienced it multiple times.

But if you look closely, it’s not the full story.

What’s actually happening is more uncomfortable.

Before sex, many men are operating with a goal.
That goal affects their behavior.

They become more patient.
More attentive.
More tolerant.

They overlook things they normally wouldn’t.

Not because they fully accept everything about you,
but because they are focused on getting access.

That’s the part many people misinterpret.

Pre-sex behavior is often influenced by motivation, not pure intention.

So when someone sees consistency, kindness, effort, they assume:

“He likes me for who I am.”

Sometimes, that’s true.

But many times, it’s conditional.

Now, after sex, something changes.

The incentive shifts.

There is no longer a goal to achieve.
So behavior becomes more honest.

Less effort.
Less tolerance.
Less pretending.

And that’s when reality shows up.

So the key question becomes:

Was he genuinely interested in you as a person,
or just committed to the process of getting there?

Now let’s be balanced.

This is not a “women problem” or a “men problem.”

It’s a misalignment problem.

Some men are only there for sex. That’s real.
Some women ignore clear signs because of attention. That’s also real.

Blaming one side completely doesn’t solve anything.

Here’s the part people don’t like to hear:

If a pattern keeps repeating, it’s worth examining the pattern.

Not with shame. With honesty.

• Are you selecting the same type of men?
• Are you ignoring red flags before intimacy?
• Are you mistaking effort for intention?

At the same time, men also need to be called out:

Leading someone on with false signals just to get sex is dishonest.
That behavior is not “nature,” it’s a choice.

So both sides carry responsibility.

Now, one important truth:

Not every woman experiences this repeatedly.
And not every man behaves this way.

There are people who build genuine connections that continue after intimacy.

Why?

Because the foundation was never just physical.

📌 Bottom line:

Sex does not create connection.
It reveals what was already there.

If there was depth, it continues.
If there was only pursuit, it ends.

So instead of reducing everything to “all men,”
it’s smarter to understand behavior, incentives, and patterns.

That’s where better decisions start.

EducationRe: Covenant University Statement On Toluwase Emmanuel Death by Kaa4(m): 6:55am On Apr 09
nairalanda1:
I work in medicine, and yes, we do CPR on 'dead people'. It's kind of why the whole process of CPR was invented.

First, a patient is certifed dead not when they have stopped breathing, there has to be no detectable cardiac and respiratory activity.

Hence we do CPR.

What happened is that the chap was brought in 'not breathing''and 'no pulse detected' , but when the doc listened to his heart , there was a beat detected (also we feel the neck pulses as well)...and CPR commenced to try to reverse the death process so to speak

Even when there is no pulse or breathing detected, CPR still commences.

Defibrillator comes in to see if the beat or pulse detected is shockable. If it is, then a shock is administered via the defib machine. If it isn't, then CPR continues...until the beat becomes shockable.

Once the heart rate is established, it does not mean the patient may wake up and move around, sometimes additional things need to be done. Even to the point that the patient may have to be placed on a ventilator in ICU , then care continues. Sometimes it ends well, soemtimes it doesn't.

I work in medicine and have taken part CPR for supposedly dead patients over the years. Sometimes we get lucky, sometimes we don't. Looks like they were not lucky this time
Thanks for this so educative post.
BusinessRe: Dangote Refinery Reduces Petrol Price Back To N1,200/litre by Kaa4(m): 5:53pm On Apr 08
Mr. Aliko Dangote
Dangote Group
Lagos, Nigeria

Dear Mr Dangote,

Request for a Reduction in the Price of PMS

I write respectfully to appeal to you to consider reducing the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) for the benefit of ordinary Nigerians.

At a time when millions of citizens are facing severe economic hardship, the cost of fuel continues to have a direct effect on transportation, food prices, business operations, and the general cost of living. A downward review of PMS price would therefore bring significant relief to households, small businesses, workers, and students across the country.

Many Nigerians have followed your journey with admiration and have stood in support of your efforts, especially during the challenges and opposition you encountered in establishing and advancing your refinery project. A good number of citizens saw the refinery as a national asset and a source of hope for energy security, lower fuel costs, and economic relief. It is on this basis that many believe this is a fitting time for that hope to translate into practical relief for the people. This was when one of your own disallowed your refinery to hold sway.

Your refinery represents not only a major private investment but also a symbol of national pride and possibility. A decision to reduce the price of PMS, even modestly, would further strengthen your legacy as an industrialist who responds to the needs of the people and supports national economic stability in a meaningful way.

We respectfully urge you to consider this appeal in the interest of Nigerians who continue to look up to your leadership and capacity to make a positive difference.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Yours faithfully,
Kaa4

There will still be opposition ot Tinubu in 2027, though that opposition will be so weak that its cries will not be heard.

In Nigeria, the founder and primary mover of a party leaves the party. This shows that everyone is seeking power for its sake, not for the development of the country, because there is no belief in any principle.

Mark my words, when Tinubu is done with APC, the party will implode from within, just like the PDP.

Before then, I dey siddon look.
