Job Description With strong understanding of the business, work closely with the business leaders to formulate and develop HR strategies and overseas implementation of HR programs and initiatives within the company’s code of conduct and organizational direction. The Position supports the achievement of the people management element of company’s goals through providing a strategic focus to people management issues; delivering high quality internal and external customer service; providing timely and effective employee communication/information; and contributing to the development of performance culture. Desired Qualities Core Job Responsibilities: Policy Formulation • Formulates implements and communicates Human Resource related policies within the context of TUG guidelines and Nigerian Labor Law. Compensation and Rewards Management • Reviews, approves and implements compensation philosophy and strategies. HR Budget • Prepares and manages overall HR budget. Learning and Development • Partner with Business Leaders and L& team to develop and implement learning and development programs. • Review suitable development projects for senior executives and managers. Performance Management • Develops, implements, communicates to managers on performance management • Partner with L& team to ensure new managers and employees are trained for the Performance Management Process (PMP) • Monitors the effectiveness of the performance management system Employee Relations • Provides advice to managers/executives, and intervenes and mediates on HR-related issues in the context of fairness under TUG policy, culture, and Nigerian Labor Law People Management • Monitors and evaluates staff performance and managing requirements. • Plans and recommends programs on career and personal growth and development. External Networking • Represents company as the company representative in the Nigerian HR and business community Qualifications: • 2-5 years of HR business partnering experience; • A degree in Law or Human Resources or related degree; • Experience working in a human resources role of a company with not less than 20 employees will be added advantage; • Good English communication skills. |
Admin Manager Responsibilities: • Assist the Executive Director in her correspondence (writing emails and letters, initiate phone Calls, tracking lobbying efforts), calendars (maintenance and scheduling), and logistical details (travel, expenses, staff perks). • Support the efforts, products, and/or processes of the leadership team, including, but not limited to: agenda setting and minutes at all leadership meeting; communicating on their behalf with the ED, rewriting policy manual in preparation for BOD meeting, lead efforts for staff professional development and/or Council special events, etc. • Initiate efforts to make office more cost effective; review processes for cost saving measures (i.e., going green, subletting space, making space “swing” for employees, improving the database structures, improving technology, etc). • Coordinate office coverage (telephone and lobby) and vacation schedules for the Council staff; schedule conference calls. • Communicate with Fiscal Assistant on equipment maintenance needs. • Coordinate office and household supplies/orders for Council staff. • Manage storage and product needs, both internally and externally. • Initiate and maintain all Board of Directors contacts, materials, communication. • Maintain all administrative paper files (both in ED’s office and general files); advise program specialists on their main tenance of programmatic files. • Oversee electronic files for the entire Council—direct staff on proper protocol. • Represent the Council at public events either through set-up of an exhibit table or event participation and represent ED in her absence. • Initiate and manage database of donors, potential members, etc. • Prepare all necessary and required documentation including monthly, quarterly, and annual DPH reports. • Initiate (with the Fiscal Assistant) and pass on all administrative spending requests. • Initiate preparation for and participate in all office-wide staff meetings. • Direct interns and volunteers on administrative Council-wide projects, and other duties as assigned. Requirements: • A minimum of HND and other certifications will be of great advantage.
