The question is what are they looking for in Jamaica, don't tell it's for tourism. I believe they are trying to enter the US through Jamaica or so they thought that is why Barbados immigration officers treated them harshly.

Were they going to swim to the US from Jamaica? There’s no such thing as entering the US through Jamaica, those two countries don’t share a border.
