For those applying for Phd - It is important that you reach out to a lecturer in your school of choice via email
Notify them of your intention and field; you could be lucky it is same as theirs - so they look out for your application
A lecturer in your chosen field...
For everyone --- read in details about your school from hostel to rules and reg |

Pr0cter: You guys are funny. When the application was ongoing earlier this year, everyone choose to be silent and refused to share information with us thereby making some of us not to submit the hard-copy to the embassy even though we applied online early. Now that the application has ended and your documents has been sent to India is when you are replying queries. While I cant understand why you are being rude and I am still trying to check what is funny about providing info ......... Everyone chose to be silent including you ......... Not everybody knew about the submission, now unlike you, I went through this thread and fb with a friend searching for info but couldnt find any but saw someones contact either on this thread or on another....... We called and asked questions, went to the embassy to verify and even had to submit twice cos as at the first submission, scholarship wasnt on Nobody is responsible for your own lapses The above reason is why I decided to help out with info at least for coming sessions |

dkindnessed: Pls, elaborate about the interview, nature of questions asked and how strictly are they? Thanks Like I said earlier, all those shouldn't be your worry yet. Get your documents ready and start looking at Universities and available courses Either way, interview is quite casual, nothing serious What schools did you apply to and why What do you know about the people and culture of the area What have you been doing since you finished undergraduate studies Just a simple chat |

By the way, nothing I say now would make much sense as the application is not on right now
But, just go to their website, check the schools that are available on their list. Read about the course you wish to apply for, eligibility and all .........
Get all your documents ready |

dkindnessed: Pls elaborate the procedures bro? I think this year process differs from the previous years -Apply online -Submit hardcopies of the documents you uploaded and your registration print out to the Indian embassy Abuja -Wait to be called for interview -Wait for admission If you plan applying next year, I think its best you starting reading about various schools since they are in the process of admitting students, their eligibility for each course is online -- because during the January you might not see most of their eligibility criteria. Have your transcripts, International passports, university certificates ready |

dkindnessed: Thanks bro. How can we know that the application is open next year? And for Msc students, is project proposal neccessary? So the portal is always open for registration but it doesnt mean the registration has started But usually, scholarship application starts January I registered in December but I had to register again in January Then after registration, submit photocopy of your documents, passport photograph and print out of the biodata page |
