SLAP44:You see what I told you before. The entire noise is about sentiment and not commonsense. ![]() |
Port Harcourt international airport, 2nd runway nearing completion. Igbos have got this
|
Always rejecting on faceless forum meanwhile the same airport has been closed down indefinitely and you are here protesting ![]() Port Harcourt INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT is for igbos and SS. Deal with it pazienza: |
That was why I told you guys that an average igbo man is a capitalist. He doesn't believe in emotion and sentiment. |
This is another one own by an Igbo man- JEVNIK
|
Most of you are so naive. Igbos even have more properties in PH now than in 1966. Some of the best properties today in PH are own by the Igbos. Ask around before you keep fooling yourself. This Genesis Center in PH. It is among the best in PH. It is own by an Igbo man. He equally has so many others in Port Harcourt hammerVJ:
|
SLAP44:This is pointless. Igbo man is a capitalist and he goes to where he will make most profit and not given to sentiment and emotion. The little period Enugu airport was allowed to receive Ethiopia airlines, the same Enugu airport was trailing Imo poorly maintained airport in traffic. It is another pointer that Enugu airport is not viable maybe because of its location. Igbos already dominating in PH, Lagos etc, and I think the host has come to full acknowledgement of it and knows that they can't do anything about it because this is not 1966. |
MelesZenawi: ![]()
|
Weed yourself of emotion first before you an get the point of discourse ![]() legitnow: |
This is pure rubbish. Cramped airport? Does every igbo man travel all at once all the time? So what will cause the cramping or crowding? This is nonsense. Ijaw claims? This is outright bunkum. It is a federal government aviation infrastructure and not Ijaw aviation infrastructure . Such claims has never arisen even in lagos and will not arise because it is a federal government infrastructures. Stop being emotional and sentimental, igbos are not known for that. Igbos are known for cost, convenience and comfort. Wherever they get these qualities doesn't matter to them. Like I said before no one in Anambra will leave out Delta airport which is less than 15mins to Anambra and travel 2hrs to Enugu airport, again no sane Imolite or Abian will leave Port Harcourt airport and travel 4hrs to Enugu just because they are in the same region. It is called commonsense and not this sentiment you are blowing out here. legitnow: |
MelesZenawi:The guy is just being emotional . He thought any sane igbo man would buy his rubbish. Why would you choose to suffer when you have a better way out. Igbo man is not known for sentiment when it comes to cost, convenience and comfort. That's the fact. |
You are talking like you just landed from the moon ![]() Igbo man is independent in nature. Igbo man doesn't buy communism. The lies you put up there that bus was arranged for the igbo air travelers is bunkum. Igbo man goes for the best in cost and convenience. That's why Lagos seaport is booming far better than ports in PH that is even closer to SE. Igbo businessman is not given to sentiment when it comes to business. They consider convenience, time and cost before they remember that you are his brother. This is a fact out there and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it because it is business, so he goes for the best available and not emotion. legitnow: |
Which igbo are you even talking about? ![]() Igbo man you know doesn't play tribal when it comes to cost and convenience, you know that. For instance, someone in Anambra will prefer Asaba airport to any other airport in SE, because Delta airport is less than 15mins to Anambra. But the same Delta airport is in SS. Can you see the point. Port international airport is less than 30mins to Imo state, now tell me why would any sane Imolite would leave that to travel 4hrs to Enugu with all the bad roads? Do you get the point now. It is not about being igbo but about cost and convenience. Enugu airport has been shut down indefinitely and the gap has since been filled, no one in Anambra or imo or Abia is worried about the closure of Enugu airport because they have a better alternatives. That's the fact. legitnow: |
Hahahaha You are on nairaland rejecting while people on ground are already using Port Harcourt international airport for our international travels. It is not about emotion but about commonsense. Adi arapu ebe ana echi ozo gaba ebe ana aru agwu. . ![]() This is a friend that came back from Holland last week, she was so happy to come via PH international airport, not only that it took her just 40mins to arrive Anambra by airport taxi, the airport itself is equally worldclass and standard. Let's face reality. legitnow:
|
It is not about getting angry. Enugu domestic airport has been shut down indefinitely. That's the reality on ground right now legitnow: |
MelesZenawi:You are in order |
It is not about what you wish but about the reality on ground. Enugu domestic airport has been shut down indefinitely, no one will open the discussion on that to the FG when there are other airports that are now closing the gap. There are only about 4 international airports in Nigeria (Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt) for now. The one in Enugu is nothing more than a domestic air strip because there are virtually no facility there to function well even as a domestic airport, not to talk of regional. Leadership failure at state level was one of the things that caused the indefinite closure of the airport. Port Harcourt international airport is now closing the gap for international travels, instead of haven to go to lagos or Abuja legitnow: |
Though Enugu airport is more or less a domestic airport, forget the useless tag(international) that doesn't reflect reality. Now the domestic airport has been shut down indefinitely to allow for repairs which we don't know how many years that will take considering that there are still other airports that iare now closing the gap. So there is nothing to worry about it's closure for its repairs. While the airport is shut down indefinitely, Anambra and to some extent Ebonyi are equally developing their own aviation which is a win-win for the region. For now Port Harcourt international airport is closing the gap on the international scale for SE and SS. It is not about trying to tell you which one to use, it is about which is most convenient. For instance, PH international airport is about 40mins drive to Anambra, 25mins to Imo state, 1hr to Abia, 3hrs to Enugu and about 4hrs to Ebonyi. Now we know the people who travel most in the region. So Port Harcourt international airport is a game changer and it is welcome development. legitnow:

Igwe Ocha aka Port Harcourt is Igbo land. You don't know the history of igbo land more than Nnamdi Kanu. Even in the old Biafra led by Ojukwu, Port Harcourt was part of it

Like this building in GRA I had to park properly and capture it

Port Harcourt is a very beautiful city. My camera was not properly set while taking that picture, because I was driving while snapping, and weather was wet. hammerD: |
