You're constantly harping on about culture, but let's not forget that these traditions were created by specific groups of people ancestors are dead, gone and buried. If you ask me, many of these customs were probably imposed on women who lacked the voice to resist. Now that modern Nigerian women are rejecting these norms, why not just let them be? After all, didn't our ancestors also adapt to the traditions forced upon them?
