Don't mind them let them be playing dumb. If league doesn't matter we should call a player at indian league who happens to be Nigerian
I suggest you should then name the Nigerian players in India or Afghanistan let us compare their stats with the others.

Do you consider league difficulty? What has Ugbo done that Onyekuru, Nwakaeme, Dessers, Umar has not done, did it get them SE callups?

There is a reason Rohr draws a line at certain leagues, you can't score ten goals at Afghanistan league at be expecting a callup grin
Actually Onyekuru got call up to the national team, currently his career is not progressing in France. Dessers and Nwakaeme also got a call up to the national team based on their performances for their clubsides. Umar so far hasn't been called up as well but should also be in contention for a place.
The Belgian league is not in Afghanistan so I don't see what the issue is.
Calling up inactive or non performing players simply because they play England, Spain, Italy, France or Germany league is not good especially if you have equally good ones in decent leagues like Netherlands, Belgium or Portugal.

Well both are opinions so I won't lose sleep. Even if u want to argue about Awoniyi and Akpom, he still has Sadiq Umar and Onuachu clearly ahead of him
Umar, Awoniyi and Akpom don't have caps for the SE, they are all on the same level with Ugbo

Osimhen, Onuachu, Iheanacho, Dessers, Maja are the regulars, Ugbo would do more than score 10 goals in the Belgian league to displace any of those
Iheanacho 0 goals in 8 games this season
Maja 2 goals in 17 games this season
Dessers 4 goals in 15 matches
Onuachu 19 goals in 19 matches
Osimhen 2 goals in 6 matches
Ugbo 10 goals in 17 matches

Ugbo is clearly doing better than Maja, Iheanacho and Dessers even Osimhen at the moment based on the above stats.
If for instance 4 strikers are called up to the eagles I don't see a reason why he shouldn't be in contention for a place in the team.

You Dey mind am

Some people sha
Imagine, they are talking as if we are Germany, Spain or France national team that have luxury of quality strikers at our disposal.
Worst part is the assumption that we don't need certain players whereas we all saw our last 4 games and the level of complaints after those games.

Well there is a required level and the bar is moving higher and higher, at a certain time 15+ goals in the Dutch league would have gotten you a first team Striker or performing credibly in France or Turkey but it hasn't even gotten Cyriel Dessers, Maja and Nwakaeme 2 caps each

So you would be deceiving yourself if you think there is a no bar for SE invitation or that Ugbo has gotten anywhere near it grin
Lol, okay based on your required level assessment suggest the strikers that should be called up? List their names because the 3 (Maja, Dessers, Nwakaeme) you mentioned have 10 league goals combined together this season

What do you mean by better, because he has scored more goals in a lesser league?

Besides he's not at the required level yet so his call up is out of the discussion
To the first question you asked, my answer is yes.
To your second question, well it depends on what Rohr wants. If I ask you to list the players we have at the required level you can't name them, the ones you listed haven't done exceptionally this season in their leagues.

Mind you there is no such thing as experimenting in football, at some point players will make their debut for teams and if they are good they are retained if not they stop getting call ups.

Nwakaeme and Simy all played for Nigeria at some point and we all followed the abuse they got due to their performances on the field of play.

The SE have a lot of work to do in the striking department, it's not enough for Rohr to list Chukwueze, Musa, Ejuke, Iwobi, Simon, Kalu as forwards on his call ups whereas they are not. So saying that a striker who is doing well in Belgium shouldn't be considered is not a good thing.

Cyriel Dessers that was the top scorer in the Dutch league has not even gotten any chance in the SE, same with Nwakaeme even Simmy Nwankwo, the SE has gone past the experimental stage any striker looking for a chance should be doing more than 10 goals in a Belgian league

The players you mentioned, Ugbo has been better than them this season.

Please we can't just keep suggesting any tom jack and Harry for Super eagles until they're better than the incumbent or proven themselves at a higher league than what we have. Uche agbo might be a talent for the future, but presently, by the virtue of his league, he isn't needed.
Which incumbent have been excellent in the SE apart from Osimhen? We all witnessed the 4 games we played last year, unless you are suggesting we list only Osimhen as our CF in upcoming national team squads.

Are Awoniyi and Akpom our second choice strikers? They don't even make the team besides Awoniyi has been injured for a while and he has 5 goals in a higher rated league

My point is he has to do better than he's doing to even be considered for a call up
the second strikers we had, how have they performed when they had the chance? We all witnessed our games last year when Osimhen wasn't around.
Any striker currently doing well in Europe should be considered including Awoniyi, Akpom or Ugbo. Onuachu is doing so well in Belgium which is a decent league by the way but hasn't done so in SE but Osimhen also was great in Belgium and translated such form so far in the eagles.
Saying that Ugbo shouldn't because of the league he plays in makes me wonder if we have a Haaland, Neymar or Benzema we kept somewhere in a higher league.
The Ejuke I expected to make a move from the Netherlands to a much more higher league chose to go to Russia which almost the same with the Dutch league and hasn't replicated his form in the Netherlands there.

I am guessing the rules have changed again and Belgium is now equal to the championship and Bundesliga
which rules, so are you saying someone that has 5 goals in the championship or Bundesliga is better than someone that has 10 league goals in the Belgian first division?

10 league goals in Epl, Seria and la liga is more valuable than 30 league goals at belgium league. Bundesliga to me is 50/50 I think they're also a farmers league but there's bayern Munich that holds weight
how many of our strikers have the 10 league goals in those leagues, none.

Yes in term of goals but I will take EPL,La Liga,Seria A and bundesliga five or more goals scorer over Belgium ten goals scorer...my opinion.

I thought Awoniyi is playing in bundesliga and with five goals so far he has done well.

I thought Akpom and Sadiq are division two players so for now they should not be mentioned on the same page with Awoniyi.

Ugbo Abi even his senior Onuachu still remain a poor striker for eagles despite tearing Belgium league apart with goals every week.

There is no need talking much on Ugbo cos his switch may take years just like Lookman and Ejaria.

None of those players have played for the SE, apart from Onuachu, so we can't tell if they'llbe good or bad, my emphasis was on this season's performance so far. Even Osimhen played and tore the Belgian league apart with goals and he is still doing well in the SE. Awoniyi also did well in Belgium, regarding the switch Lookman and Ejaria's switch could be finalized in a couple of months.
The most important thing is that Ugbo who is doing well at the moment has expressed interest in playing for us and so is a decent prospect, it's not like we have a luxury of strikers to pick from.
We all witnessed and could easily have predicted the result of the second leg game against Sierra Leone when Osimhen was unavailable. Any decent option is a welcome development.

Has he done enough? 10 goals in 17 matches in a mediocre league is not even enough standards for our second choice striker
The Belgian league is not a mediocre league and it's not like we have strikers firing on all angles in Italy, Spain, England, Germany or kept an Mbappe or Haaland somewhere. For striking options Ugbo has done better than Awoniyi and Akpom this season.
