The insults and the deliberate singling out of Nigerian women are completely uncalled for. First of all, we do not even know whether this picture is genuine or taken out of context.

What is even more disturbing is the selective outrage. Catholic nuns also wear similar full head to body coverings, yet nobody seems to mock or insult them for it. So why does anything associated with Islam suddenly become a subject of ridicule and abuse?

People should be allowed to practice their religion and make personal choices about their lives without being insulted or targeted. You are free to live your life as you choose, but others deserve that same freedom and respect.

I can already see some religious bigots having a field day in this thread. Honestly, anything that has even the slightest connection to Islam seems to give some of you sleepless nights. The obsession is becoming embarrassing. Respect people's choices and let them live their lives in peace.
