I am currently overhauling a golf 4, I can tell you that we Nigerians have poor maintenance culture.
I got the car at a very cheap rate, chasis and body still intact, but, power steering damaged, abs not functioning, all 4 shock absorbers damaged, window winding controller for front doors not functioning, all the 4 tires need replacement, air-conditioning system not functioning.
So far so good, it takes about 4 weeks to restore all things, radiator flush, timing belt change, gear oil changed, metal oil sump protector fabrication ongoing, then normal engine servicing, painting job pending.
I just like Volkswagen golf 4, reason why I choose to go for this to satisfy myself even though I have read alot about the way golf 4 in Nigeria do disappoint due to reason unknown.

where are u base, do have capable hand? some of those things I need replacement too.

I have seen sound gulf 3 & 4, these cars are no longer been manufactured, how do they make it look so clean and sound like a tokunbo car. I want a overhaul of my car to look like tokunbo without any fault. i.e to check everything and replace the ageing part, but I have not seen any trustworthy mechanic. Most of the mechanic just want to do anything, lie and collect money and move on.
