Hello Friends, Community of Sant Egidio is please to inform you that planing for this year Christmas party has began.Every Christmas day, members of this non-for-profit organization across the country, prepare meals for these categories of persons who usually do not have something to eat or drink on such an auspicious day in sub-urban areas where we are. Not only that we prepare the meals ourselves, we provide drinks and other gift items we get from kind hearted people, ensuring that these friends feel a sense of belonging and worth. For over 14years, we have successfully carried out this task in some suburbs in Abuja (Durumi, Gwarimpa, Gwagwalada, Karu, Kuje, Kubwa, and Zuba). Thanks to the support from friends and contributions from member, who are 90% students, this love and gesture has spread to some suburbs in other states such as: Lagos State: (Iwaya-Makoko Slum) Kaduna State: (Rabadangi Village and Kachia Prisons kachia) Plateau State: (Rizek Village, Barkin-Ladi and Army Engineer) Niger State: (Leprosarium Minna) Nasarawa State: (Kwoto Village and Nassarawa Prisons) Enugu State: (Old Peoples Home) Oyo State: (Ibadan Street People) Precisely, last year we provided food, drinks and gifts for about seven thousand (7,000) poor friends who mostly are left out of the festivities (Christmas and New Year) due to circumstances beyond their control.
