Dibz's POV

" I'm telling you man, I can't do this", Josh said as he tossed me a can beer and sat down to face the screen. We were watching a football game between our fave team Barca(the best team in the world) and Sevilla. As much as I wanted to be so concentrated on the game, Josh wouldn't just let me be. Josh has been sort of crashing at my place for some days now. He came in one morning with a backpack saying he's place is no longer safe for him. Now I know Josh is kind of dramatic-ish, but the reason he gave as to why his place was unsafe now was just the height of it.
His reason was that he saw a copy of the famous Steve Harvey novel " Act like a Lady, Think like a man". Sometimes I wonder why he didn't come out from his mother's womb as a girl. Dude can fret over the littlest of things. He claimed that T is planning so.e sort of war to get him to bend to her will. Apparently, he and T are yet to resolve their issues on the whole acting thing. The worst part is that T still sleeps there. I swear they are just the perfect match for each other. The thing is I get Josh on this one, I mean being a player before he kinda feels this might be his karma catching up with him( his words not mine). Seeing as he's been with different ladies, Karma is paying him back by making T having to act numerous movies with numerous male actors too, doing stuff and he wasn't going to allow it. One night we were watching a movie, and it got to a kissing scene and Josh was just all reckless on the couch, turning and twisting all the time. I don't know how or why but I just pictured Fola as the actress and I didn't even know when I switched the TV off myself.
Speaking of couples, I don't know if it's just my very mild case of paranoia but I kinda feel Fola has been distant lately, since I told her how my Mum felt about her. The day after we had that talk, she left for her apartment. She said something about missing her apartment and not wanting to waste the rent that's already been paid by being here all the time. We rarely spend time together now. Anytime I want to come over she says she's not in and when she comes over she just stays for an hour or two and says something about being late for an appointment and puoof, she's gone. It's really got me bothered, but I just decided to give her some space and in her own time she'd let me know what's wrong. I have a feeling it's got to do with our talk about my mum tho but she doesn't have to worry much, I know my mum would come around to our relationship soon.

" Guy. Are you even listening to a word I'm saying?", Josh asked snapping his fingers in front of me.

" No mind me, guy", I said sighing as I opened my beer and took a gulp.

" It's Fola, right?", he asked and I nodded as I took another sip of my beer.

" I miss her man. I really miss her and the fact that I don't know what to do is driving me crazy", I sad feeling frustrated.

"Tell me about it. But you know you shouldn't have told her what your mum thought of her, now you've got her thinking there's little to no chance for a future for you guys".

"Woah woah, wait up. How does that affect our future together?", I asked feeling more scared than confused right now. If it was really how Fola was feeling then I shouldn't be giving her any yeye time, I should be there convincing her.

" Oh Lord", Josh said sighing and falling back in the sofa. " Sometimes I wonder how you got Fola or even all these girls to fall for you when you know nothing about girls".

" Dude just tell me already", I urged him on impatiently.

" Ok, let me ask you this, how would you feel if Fola said her parents didn't approve of your relationship with her prolly because you're an ex convict?", He asked. Now, I know I've always called Josh dumb, but sometimes he makes the most sense especially in anything about women and relationships. His question now just opened me up to how how pained Fola might be feeling. I mean that question already has me thinking of buying one small island that we can elope to if our marriage isn't approved by either of our parents. Woah Marriage?? Ok, maybe the beer might be having a toll on me already but one thing I know for sure is that I've got see her...Now.

" I'm going to see her", I said standing up.

" Really? It's past 9", Josh said.

" And this is Lagos", I said darting inside to get a shirt.

"But you've been drinking, you can't drive to her place now", Josh said entering my room.

" Yeah, I'm calling the driver or I'd even send for a chopper now if I have to. I've got to see her, man. It's been over a week now"

" Ok", Josh sighed. " You gotta help me with my own situation seeing as I helped with yours". I smiled as i began walking out.

" You know T loves you man, acting or no acting. All the while you were whoring around, she never dated anyone and even then she was still modelling or did you think she wasn't desired by guys? She was waiting for some dickhead to come to his senses and ask her out which he did but now wants to spoil something so beautiful due to his insecurity which is understandable by the way. But seriously man, I think you should just trust her and knowing that she loves you is enough reason to trust her. I mean who could love someone as despicable as you?", I asked smiling and ran away when I saw him pull off one of his slides to throw at me.

I reached Fola's in no time and entered with her spare key card but it was like she wasn't home...not until I got to her room and heard her shower running.

" Babe?...you there?", I asked as I knocked.

" Baby?....is that you?", She asked as the shower turned off. I smiled at the fact that she called me baby. Atleast, we still on pet name terms.

" Yup",I said as I laid on her bed.

" Ok,, I got scared it was some intruder. I'm almost done, would be out in a minute", she said as the shower started running again. I smiled and thought of how I was going to reassure her of everything when I felt I was on something. I shifted to see what it was and my blood stilled. The next second I was dialing Josh.

" Hey, I'm on my way to my apartment now", Josh chirped happily immediately he picked. " How did it go?", He asked.

" She's reading a book too man", I replied tensed. "And it's the ' The Art of War' ", I said reading the title of the book I was lying on earlier.

" Uh oh", was all Josh said........TBC
