What a transformation! LESSON: Learn to implement your ideas and plans on time, the more u procrastinate, the older u become and the more outdated your dreams. Time waits for no one.

Clarification on false claim that Senate passed a bill proposing to jail social media users for two years. The bill being made reference to, is An Act to Prohibit Frivolous Petitions and Other Related Matters, which absolutely makes no mention of jailing social media users. Senator Na’Allah’s bill seeks to make illegal, the common act of individuals sponsoring frivolous petitions to tarnish/blackmail public servants or political office holders for selfish purposes. The bill also seeks to make it a requirement for petitioners to depose to an affidavit in court which will must be attached to any petition. Where such petition is discovered to be frivolous, or mischievous or the fact there in are false, the proposed bill makes it a case of perjury which is an offense under the law. The Deputy Senate leader in his submission expressed concern that with such frivolous petitions, the right of an individual to be presumed innocent until proven guilty by a competent court, would have eroded such presumption of innocence as these petitions lead to media trials that hampers the rule of law. In the developed societies and in particular, the US, if one files a petition with the Federal Bureau of Investigation or any other government agency, aimed at defaming someone, ruining their reputation or family and such petition is discovered to be false, such a person will be held liable and would pay dearly for it. One can only imagine that if countries allowed dishonest elements to file petitions against their opponents without having to hold them accountable, this will amount to impunity. Please find attached the lead debate to the said petition. Signed Bamikole Omishore SA New Media President of The Senate

An Edo lady received a text from her husband who is Yoruba, and he sent the text in Yoruba language, knowing fully well that her yoruba is very rusty. The poor lady had to then rely on Google translate to find out what dearest husband sent to her and this is what Google did. Lol, it seems Google was overwhelmed.

OSOGBO — President Muhammadu Buhari, the representative of the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II and Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, are some of the dignitaries expected on December 7, at the installation and presentation of staff of office to the new Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II. Other prominent traditional rulers expected at the ceremony are the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Shehu of Borno, Alake of Egbaland and Awujale of Ijebuland, among others. Also to attend are the 36 governors, members of the Federal Executive Council FEC , diplomats and captains of industries. Briefing newsmen in Ile-Ife, yesterday, on the activities lined up for the coronation, the chairman, media sub- committee of the installation planning committee, Comrade Biyi Odunlade, said the two-week activities for the installation of Oba Ogunwusi would be rounded off on Sunday, December 13, 2015 with an inter-denomination service in Ile-Ife. Odunlade said President Buhari and other dignitaries are billed to attend the December 7 installation of Oba Ogunwusi, adding that many heads of missions in Nigeria have also signified their intention to attend. Unveiling his programmes for the town, Oba Ogunwusi, according to report, has promised to work towards fostering unity among the Yoruba race. Oba Ogunwusi, whose speech was read by his elder brother, Prince Adegboyega Ogunwusi, at the media parley, said he intended to empower youths in the town through sports and vocational training. The royal father, who said efforts are already on to improve amenities like power and water supply in Ile-Ife, promised to build on existing peace in Ife and its adjoining communities. The monarch said he would relocate his furniture factory, EH Furnitures to Ife and ensure that indigenes of the town are employed at the establishment. Oba Ogunwusi added he had already opened discussion with Osun State Government to set up a football academy and have 16 clubs in Ife which he said would provide jobs for over 1,000 youths in the town. Nairalanders please what can he do or if any of us is in this shoe? I met this beautiful damsel while serving(NYSC) in Imo State in 2013. She accepted to date me on one condition (NO S*X before marriage). I gladly accepted. Our love was a major gist in town because she is a beauty queen. I so much loved her with all my heart..She was a virgin and I so much respected her for that…I spent 75% of my allowee on her in addition with my personal savings… On several occasions, she lost control of herself during romance but as a gentleman, I kept my promise by not harvesting the forbidden fruit.. Her love for me grew stronger because of my self control. After NYSC, I relocated to Lagos in search of greener pasture. Things got tougher because jobs were extremely scarce. Still,I struggled to send her some money through her father’s first bank account (she was 18yrs then). Once in a month, I traveled from Lagos to Owerri just to see her….Our love was so strong..But since inception of this year, things got pretty bad that I could not meet up with my routine travels to see her. After 3yrs, I got a job few days ago in an oil company and I was so enthusiastic to relay the good news to her….But to my greatest shock ever…She sent me an apology SMS that she will be getting married next week…I was preparing for Sunday service but the news automatically made me fell asleep. I just woke up and feeling abnormal…She is calling but I can’t imagine myself taking the calls…Pls i need your candid advice on what to do.. My people kindly save a soul today and God will bless you..Thanks |
