I just finished an English test interview with Cardiff Met and they basically asked what the course I'm going for is about, means of communication and Internet, how the course would help me develop myself or country, etc. I don't know if it would be same thing as yours but the questions were alright and the representative was friendly.

Thank you for the response. I have a conditional offer from Cardiff Metropolitan and my conditions is to provide an employment letter for the past 5 years and take an English test which I've both sorted out. Do you suggest I fund my personal account with the remaining tuition fees and 1 year living expenses now? Or wait till I've received information about the CAS?

The funds are available but in my joint company account. Thanks

Good evening everyone. I just received a conditional offer from Cardiff Met just now. One of the conditions is to pass Cardiff Met English language interview. I wanted to ask if anyone has an experience in regards to this? I'm thinking it would be like an ielts speaking test. Please correct me if I'm wrong

I was refused my visa too. I used my sponsor's details but I didn't add my account details which was the mistake I made. Il reapply for September intake.

I'll inform him to transfer some funds for the living expenses and travel costs to my personal account and also do a gift deed for the total amount sent to me. He initially wrote a sponsorship letter which was submitted with the rejected application.

Thank you. Yes I will order for the gcms note (although I heard it takes time to get it) and I paid 9k CAD already for my first semester tuition as required by the school, which all documents was uploaded and submitted. I'm going to reapply for September intake.

Can my sponsor transfer some of the funds to cover for my first year living expenses and travel cost to my personal account in 3 or 4 tranches and maybe he will use a letter to back that up? (I don't know what to call the letter) which I'll submit along with my personal bank statement.

My study permit application was refused yesterday. So sad about it.
The VO said " your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself". And that they're not satisfied I'll leave Canada after my studies.

My agent submitted all the required documents from my sponsor (brother), which includes his company account, Cac, building property evaluation, tax clearance, birth certificate and ID cards and also attached my own personal bank account statement which does not have enough money in it.

Please what can I do about this inorder to see if I can reapply and defer my admission to September intake?

Thank you, but from the payment instruction, one can only pay with a bank card . The school account number was not provided.

Maybe you should contact the school to verify before paying with your bank card and moreover, I don't think naira cards can be used to pay for international transactions anymore. Try using a dollar card for the payment as it's the new CBN rule for all international transactions/transfers.

Gurus in the house please which app would you guys recommend that I use to pay for my application fee . As I have tried my Firstbank bank card but it's not working.

You should go to your bank and pay the fees and also include your reference number or student ID number given to you by the school. Atleast that's how I did mine and it was received by the school within 24 hrs.

Is it actually true that one's chances of visa approval is high as long as you get PAL? Considering the cap on international students and issuance of PAL by the province, I would say the chances of one's visa approval is high if the study permit application is well packaged. Because with the PAL, it means the province has a space for you to come and study. Please I need the opinion of the gurus in the house on this. Thank you!

Without a valid PAL or no PAL, your application will be withdrawn by IRCC after a few days or weeks when it gets to your turn. My application was withdrawn automatically after 2 weeks of submission by IRCC because I uploaded a PAL from last year that expired in January 21st 2025. I reapplied immediately with the new PAL I received.

Bro I remember your post. You submitted on 16th and biometrics updated on the 20th February 2025 and that's same timeline with my application submission. But I'm yet to get any new message regarding my application.
When did you receive the rejection? And didn't they say why your application was rejected? So sorry about that.

I honestly don't know anything about accommodation in Winnipeg but you can contact the school about this and they should be able to assist on this either off campus or in camp accommodation.

Biometric Collection Letter: 07 Sept 2024
Biometric Date: 11 Sept 2024
Biometrics updated: 13 Sept 2024
Rejection letter: 22 October 2024
Eligibility and background check updated on 23 October 2024

I ordered GCMS notes within a week of rejection and that came out 20 November. It said my study plan was vague and it wasn't clear how the course would progress my career goals.
I updated my personal statement with one page on study plans, how it affects my career, etc. I added another page for family ties and return plans to Nigeria. I also added my business ownership documents and family business shareholding. I requested deferment from the college and got new LOA and PAL (2025 PAL received 05 February)

2nd Application:
Application date: 13 February
Biometrics updated automatically
Medical Passed via platform update: 26 February

Good day Bro. Please which intake did you defer your admission to? May or September 2025?
I submitted my application on 19th February and biometrics done on 20th February. I'm for May intake and patiently waiting for a good news soon.
