Nairaland General › Re: Updates On The Bot Situation by kayperry: 10:45am On Apr 22, 2025 |
Seun: Dear Nairalanders,
In an effort to address persistent complaints about toxicity on the forum, we extended the mandate of the anti-spam bot to try and tackle insults, tribalism, obvious scams, etc.
While this move dealt a heavy blow to bad actors, the bot also made many mistakes which led to innocent people getting banned from time to time for no good reason. I understand how you feel about this. It is simply not acceptable.
We have reduced the length of the bot bans from up to 3 days to no more than 30 minutes. We are also working to massively improve the accuracy of the bot. Meanwhile, if you are mistakenly blocked, please don' take it personally. We will fix it as soon as we can.
Best Regards, Seun Osewa. You are just blaming the BOT, you were so fixated on sensoring keywords without taking cognisance of "context" .. if i mention s- e- n- s - e your BOT is trigger already, put "make" in front is that an insult please seun do better no dey fall our hands |

He is becoming of age, yet he still take delight in frolicking with women. Is a man's life all about women, maybe that's what makes him happy, but society largely frowns at it.
What example is he setting for his children and fans
Women being what they are, Natasha, despite her wealthy background and knowing who 2face is, still sticks her neck into a relationship with a chronic womanizer.
Maybe Natasha is his kind, they say birds of a feather flocks together. what example did Fela set and how many of femala children marry plenty wives like there father |

nairalandadeux: It's just business.
This is the new reality with subsidy removal. Now there is price competition, and the oil price determines the score.
Subsidy removal should have happend since 1993 though. And 2012 was the best time it should have happened. Did you guyz even attend school, where is the price competition a price competition solely influence by changes in int'L market price per barrel Asides int'l market price/$ mention that factor determining prices so far How do you posit subsisy removal is deterimant when budget deficit under subsidy removal is way higher than the subsidy regimes, Subsidy fosters an enabling environment for smes which are the component for economic growth subsidy removal ensures More Money to Nig. Govt which means more Money to loot and share, But definitely not for growth as we have evidently seen |

nairalandadeux: You want price controls, which usually leads to more debt, which usually leaves us in IMF chains.
Happened to too many countries.
Nothing comes for cheap. The person that refines fuel, the person that transports it, and the person that sells it, as well as the person that extracts oil from ground, and the oga owner...all want to be paid. Only way to keep prices low is to underpay them. Not going to happen. Underpay is an aberration is a business standard practice, standard pay does not negate profit, so i doubt your point is valid, in Manufacturing cost of production is the major determinant of price, its not in the place of any manufacturer to keep price low as what determine low or high price is basically demand and supply Labour renumeration is an indirect cost, with slight influence on price computation |

femisplash: Let's summarize the I financial reengineering under the current administration into key bullet points:
1. Each statistics is backed by hard economic data
2. The fiscal prudency didn't come at the expense of liquidity.
3. There's a major reduction in Nigeria's debt obligations.
4. Nigeria's return to a balance of payment surplus within a year.
5. Investors landscape is shifting positively as a result of reforms boosting portfolio investments - which is a key measure of foreign confidence.
6. There's been a surge in Disapora remittances, thereby signifying a renewed trust in Nigeria's economy.
7. In public sector, states are receiving more resources than ever. FAAC is increasingly reaching an historic highs.
8. There has been no austerity in public sector operations by the current administration so far.
9. In private sector, companies previously plagued by low returns and profitability are strongly rebounding.
10. Ongoing major infrastructural projects is a key to boosting industrial and agriculture sector.
This systematic financial reengineering has equally earned Fitch's rating and IMF validity.

Counterigbolies: Like seriously I really don't understand where Nigeria is going again ooo, even in terms of morals n approach.
It's like the last election where some people lost want to make them ruin everything like that was the first election we had in d history of Nigeria
Those obi Mumu people now are supporting anything wrong even when they don't seem to know the long time implications, so Natasha accused akpabio of a misdeed without verifiable evidence but since they hate akpabio then we must castigate akpabio even without no reasonable evidence.
Same with this oby woman, how can u tell a man to shut up simply because
Imagine someone blaming tinubu for collapse of power greed when over 20 years ago their new angel obj took 16 billion dollars for electricity fund n nothing was seen
Imagine someone blaming Tinubu for money politics when virtually all senators made it clear obj offered them 50 million as far back as then
Imagine someone blaming Tinubu for we not having database when obj collected money for id card from all Nigerians n we saw nothing
Imagine someone blaming Tinubu n yakubu for election issues when fayose made it clear that him n obj wrote election results on obj bed, same obj that told Maurice iwu to announce election results when people were still waiting for voting materials
One day all in d name of hating someone these obi Mumu will gladly tell us the devil was right As much as i share some of your sentiments i will trash out the Tinubu parts, to whom much is given much is expected, that OBJ did these or that is no justification or validation for Tinubu to take corruption nd impunity to the next level Tinubu was a strong critics of OBJ, so it even wrong to use OBJ to validate Tinubu misrule .... Tinubu promised to do better and thats was why we voted him, seems we were fooled. This is not personal, Tinubu deserve every blame cos he asked for the presidency and he Tinubu said "dont pity me" so why the pity |

Toneypen247: Ejiofor is right to call this out, but let’s not pretend this is an isolated incident. This is who they are. The Nigerian Senate has long been a sanctuary for thugs in agbada, where decorum goes to die and impunity thrives. Nwebonyi’s outburst isn’t shocking—it’s typical. Nwebonyi’s behavior isn’t just an insult to Ezekwesili—it’s an insult to every Nigerian who still expects basic decency from their leaders. But here’s the bitter truth: A Senate that rewards mediocrity will always breed men like him.
Until we demand better—not just from Nwebonyi, but from the entire rotten system—this circus will continue. And Nigeria? It will keep sinking. I think the so called Socialites in Nig. are nothing but fvcking HYPOCRITES, the double standard we play when it "Women" related is riduculous and a sign of unseriousness OBY told a full grown man Shut up on national tv, and i hear people play she is old to be her mother, he should have said thank you ma ... how ridiculous can socialites, 2nd wrong count on 1st wrong to even exist The same people arguing sen. ewabonyi should have comported himself as a senator are the very one Justifying Sen. Natasha unruly behaviour as freedom of speech ... why double standard when a woman slap a man, the society is more keen on the man reaction ... cant you see she a woman But if a man touch a woman he is a beast, a monster, the so called activist go gaga As much as i believe we are not being Fair enough to Women ... we should be tending toward a balanced society not another one-sided RESPECT is reciprocal, we want men to respect Women so also women must respect Men On ... |
