As I have received grace from my Lord Jesus Christ...I will be sharing with you
the light the Holy Spirit shed on my heart from time to time

The light in this case is the Word of God

Nothing more true as David by inspiration said...Your word is a lamp to my feet and light to
my path

See how David used two figurative words; lamp and light

Lamp as we know is an object as used in those days...an object that bears fire that lighten
a place or way we go especially when night falls or in dark places

Where a lamp is...there is light

The two go hand in hand

You cannot have one without the other present

By the inspired wisdom of God...David expound in clear figurative words the indispensability of
the word of GOD for our life and living

As lamp gives easy passage wherever we go...and illuminate any place we are so is the word of God
to anyone that knows...value and obey it

A close look at this...raise some issues that most Christians do not diligently note in
this seemingly simple verse

I should say this...before I dig into this verse of the Bible...

It is the pain that troubles my heart from time to time

This pain is nothing but the "famine' of 'Thy word' that is prevalent in this days

More painful it is...that where God's children are to given the sincere milk as Peter in
his first epistle put it...is where the scarcity is...even a severe one

It is not a fulfillment of God's word given to Amos in his days to Israel...not come upon us?

When God told Amos that the days are coming when it will not be the famine of bread or water but
a famine of his words that would happen to his people-Israel

Such that they will rove and move to even far places to seek for the TRUTH of the word of God

O LORD WILL THOU NOT REVIVE YOUR CHURCH!

REVIVE YOUR SERVANTS WHO ARE LEADERS OF YOUR CHURCH

REVIVE YOUR SHEEP WHO ARE YOUR CHILDREN OF YOUR CHURCH

This should be our continuous cry and prayer these days

More of our prayer meeting should be to rouse God's people to revive not the kind
of materialistic and mundane prayer that had pervades our churches

Without the revival of the TRUTH of God's word...

God's church will be:

Malnourished and open to any kind of spiritual diseases

Miss God's path

Stumble when they go the wrong path

Remain in DARKENESS and could draw back to perdition

As we go back to looking into that verse of the book Psalms 119:105

'Thy word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path'

First thing to draw wisdom from is...'Thy Word'

Until it dawn on us that the word we are talking of here is...GOD'S WORD

Not man's word....not wise men word...not rich men word...not political men word

THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD

See...friends it is NEGLECT of the word of God that is the reason for the evil that is
come upon us

The trouble...tumult and trials that is happening to man is because we reject God and HIS WORDS

Have you forgotten...that since the creation of man as we see in Adam and his wife...

God gave them HIS word to bring them into constant and continuous relationship with HIM

But as soon as they disobey God's word...

Disaster befell them and the whole human race till now

SATAN enmity is against nothing but GOD AND HIS WORD

Yes...that's the truth

Satan is not interested in anything or anybody except who is in Christ and HIS word in him

Satan unchangeable trick has remain...deceive man to reject GOD and HIS word

Till now he has been gaining the upper hand in getting man to turn away from God and HIS word

So we see...that place PRIORITY ON GOD'S WORD...

We are doomed

No matter how much we profess to know God and his Christ...we are just deceiving ourselves

"Thy Word" must take prominence in our life if we to be truly born again and inherit
the kingdom of God

Enough of praise and worship that is taking the place of God's word

Don't get me wrong...I am not saying we should not praise our Lord in songs...

But it must not take the place of preaching and teaching HIS WORD

Prayer no matter how vehement and passionate we do it...

It MUST not take the place of God's word

This is nothing but Satan grand deception in our CHURCHES...to replace something religious
with the word of God

LORD LET THERE BE A REVIVAL OF YOUR WORD...

I would pause here and I pray that as you read this...the Lord Jesus will open
your understand and BEGIN HIS REVIVAL IN YOU

Group of those who sit in their armchair and criticize the government for almost everything.
