Education / Re: Nigeria Colleges And Universities Ranked By Web Popularity. by kayzed(m): 11:00am On Feb 15, 2008
this is based on popularity and not academic standards though i still don't still agree with your ratings. A.B.U should come first cos its so obvious from the who's who in nigeria.
Career / Re: Nigerian Engineers Are Not Competent? by kayzed(m): 10:58am On Jan 31, 2008
i think ishmael needs a dictionary so he could differentiate between a technician and an engineer. to the solution. curriculum of engineering in nigerian universities should be overhauled to meet global standards and also empahasis should be placed on practicals also finally engineering firms should be more willing to train engineering graduates.

thumbs up father ab, nigerian engineers are good anywhere they find themselves. i think those who are ignorant should know the difference between an engineer, technologist & a technician before contributing to this topic. the so called expatriates that are worshipped in nigeria are mere laborers thats d reason they can't stay at home but become demi-gods in nigeria u know the nigerian mentality of foreigners even when they are not qualified. NIGERIAN ENGINEERS WILL ALWAYS PROVE THEMSELVES ANYWHERE ANYDAY. I for one did IT with the so called expatriates at JULIUS BERGER & nothing was special about them.

wots ur beef with nigerian engineers ishmael, agreed nigerian engineers might be slightly incompetent 4 obvious reasons such as been taught outdated courses and not going to the field to practice. check stats when nigerian engineers go abroad they always trounce their counterparts from elsewhere. the way forward is reviewing engineering syllabus with what is obtainable globally and field involvement should also be emphasized.

i agree with u ay, if engineering firms will agree to train fresh engineering graduates like banks and oil companies do will go in a long way to reduce the incompetencies.
Education / Re: Abu Zaria To Resume 21st Of January 2008 by kayzed(m): 2:41pm On Jan 17, 2008
ABU is a detribalised school cos i'm talking from xperience. i'm a yoruba from oyo state. i was there from 1998-2005 4 an engineering degree and nothing like that happened cos i was president of associations both departmental and others so ABU IS NOT TRIBALISTIC.
