Kcee624:
Please i need help on this ,

I live in Owerri, Imo state and I'm in need of your help / guidance on this problem that befell me.

I am into e-commerce business, I buy goods from China and resell online through paid adveritisment on Google and Facebook while I use local courier companies to deliver the products to customers who order for it and collect payment from them at point of delivery. I've used KOS and currently using Exact Destination Services, both has offices in Lagos, and my business is registered with CAC.

On 24th October 2019, I was sleeping in my apartment when I was woken up by banging on my door and windows, I hide somewhere thinking it was arm robbers, later on I found out it was the EFCC, so I opened the door and came out. It turned out the EFCC was raiding a lot of compounds on the street I lived in, and this was a house I moved into 1st week of August.

They arrested majority of the young guys living at the street including myself and took us to Enugu, they took myself, my laptop, my car (Lexus ES330, phones, my business stamp, my 9mobile hotspot)

This was after I told them I'm not involved in any fraudlent business and requested they check my phones and laptop there which they refused to do. We were first taken to the police station at Fire Service, Owerri and after some hours, we were put inside their bus and left for Enugu without allowing us inform anyone of our whereabout.

After we reached Enugu, they still didnt allow us make any call until the next week Monday when I was able to reach some of my friends and family who now rushed down to Enugu, on the same Monday they started investigating us one by one, after investigating me and didnt find any evidence against me, they granted me bail and gave me a document containing bail conditions including provision of a 16 level civil servant or a property owner in Enugu, and I couldnt meet up with this demands. I met the IPO in charge of my case and asked him for help, he introduced me to a lawyer who after discussion, I was charged N200,000 for perfection of the bail conditions for myself and N300,000 for application to bail out my car since nothing incrminating was found on me.

Out of frustartion, I paid the money to the lawyer and I was released same day and was told my car would be out in 2 weeks time.

Since then till date, they have not released my car, they requested I submit my bank account statments which I have complied with but they kept giving me stories of oga is not available to sign for the release since then till date.

Sir/ma, I need help and guidance in resolving this problem and getting my car back, this is my sweat that I earned legally.

Last time I spoke to the Efcc official handling my case, he told me that, he is thru with the investigation that he is not happy my car is parked there despite I didn't do anything.

UPDATE: I called the lawyer, paid that is handling the case this morning, he told me that he went there on Friday, but unfortunately he didn't get to meet them.

So he told me that he will go there today again, that if he gets there, he will ginger them, and remind them that I don't have any case with them, and they wrongly arrested me. Hence they don't have rights to hold my car till date.

He also told me that, he has been calm with them, so as to be able to maintain the relationship he has with them, if they should continue holding it, he has no choice but to use another lawyer to file a case against them.. That I should please give him time to work on it.

That's all for now.. I will update you guys when next I communicate with him.. Thanks guys. I pray the car comes out anytime soon....

Your best solution is the Ordinary president (Brekete Family), he would speak with Magu directly, he is based in Abuja, you would require also an affidavit.........

Google Brekete Fm.......

OK. Let me Google it now

Don't use their own lawyer.. They're working together.. He's working for their interests not yours.
I wish you were in Lagos, it would have been a different matter altogether

Am already using him.. I paid that man 500k out of frustration and tension.. 200k for my bail out and 300k for my car.. At some point the lawyer hardly picks my call.. Saying that I'm disturbing him too much.. That I don't want to have patience.. Am just confuse and lost.

Please if there is anyway you can help or link me up to any. I would gladly appreciate your help.

Hire a sound lawyer, it's all you need.
This is pure extortion, since you're clean..
They owe you an apology for even arresting you in the first place

I will make inquiries on how to get one.. Because I no longer think the one they refered to me is reliable.
