faith is synonymous to confidence. |

Confidence is an assured trust. It brings one to be sure of the things to be done. Or we can say that confidence is a feeling of certainty of something hope for. PSALM 27 VS 3. THOUGH A HOST ENCANP AGAINST ME ,MY HEART SHALL NOT FEAR; THOUGH WAR ARISE AGAINST ME, YET I WILL BE CONFIDENT. Confidence doesn't come overnight. It is something that is built through relationship with God. You cannot be confident in God that you have no knowledge of. So it is Important to study the word of God, so that we will have a knowledge of who God his. When your confidence is built in God,Situation may seem like a mountain but because of your confidence and trust in God you will surely overcome. Let's take example from the situation of David when he had an encounter with Goliath. Now judging from human perspective we can say that Goliath was a giant, far bigger and taller than David. So to him he had the confidence that David was already a walk over but because of the confidence that David had in a Supernatural God he overcame the confidence of Goliath with just one stone. So my question is who have you built you trust on? Is it the man made God or the Supernatural Father. SO WHY DO WE NEED CONFIDENCE A man that is not convice will always be at the mercy of assumption. He is never sure if he will succeed. Why because he lacķ confidence HEBREWS 10VS35-----DO NOT LOSE YOUR COURAGE BECAUSE IT BRINGS WITH IT A GREAT REWARD. Having confidence in God is a way of acknowledging his unlimited power. So maybe you are going through turbulent time, trials, tribulations or difficuties. But I have goodnews for you. Do not give up. He knows and in his appointed time he will answer. Maybe as a youth who after many years of graduation is still unable to secure a job. Don't give up don't forget he is JEHOVAH JIREH(THE GOD THAT PROVIDE). Maybe you are in your late thirtys or fourtys and still nobody is coming to ask for your hand in marriage. Don't loose hope, hold on to him until you are his good work in your life. If elisha could hold on to a man like Elijah until he had access to what he needed. What about you why not hold on to God till he answer. For he said in his word "I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU". He said it and it is true because he honour his word more than his name. Have you forgotten ABRAHAM? The father of faith he waited for 25years and trusted in God till what God said about him was fulfilled. Even after that God told him to offer Isaac just to prove his love for him. And Abraham was confident that even God was able to raise Isaac up from the dead. That's the kind of confidence that we should have. Knowing that nothing is impossible to him that sit on the throne of heaven.. HOW DO WILL BUILD CONFIDENCE 1. Study your bible daily, asking the holy spirit for direction. JOSHUA 1 vs 8. THIS BOOK OF THE LAW SHALL NOT DEPART FROM YOUR MOUTH. BUT YOU SHALL MEDITATE ON IT DAY AND NIGHT, THAT YOU MAY BE CAREFUL TO DO WHAT IS WRITTEN IN IT.FOR THEN YOU SHALL MAKE YOUR WAY PROSPER AND THEN YOU SHALL HAVE GOOD SUCCESS. It is not enough to study the scripture daily, what is more important is doing the things written there in. Doing these will help to build our confidence, knowing that we have a relationship with him that sit on the throne. God the almighty. 2-PRAY IN THE HOLY GHOST. Doing these constantly bring not just boldness or confidence but other spiritual gift as well. 3-Do not forsake the gathering of the brethren. These is very important, because sometime praying together may expose you to alot of things. Don't forget that the apostle did not receive the holy spirit differently but they were in one accord. God can because of someone else prayer meet your need. 4-LOVE- These is greatest fruit in the life of a believer. When you walk in genuine love, then you are confidence of the things you do. Even apostle Paul remind us that even if we give our body to be burnt and yet does not love, then it profit us nothing. So walk in love and your confidence in God will be alive 5-DON'T GIVE IN TO FEAR. When fear set in then your confidence is gone. FEAR is false evidence appearing real. So you see it is a means or a weapon Satan use to steal from us. Read these article title-I DARE TO LIVE BY FAITH And don't forget the bible says" God has not given us the spirit of fear but that of love and of sound mind. So brethren fear is not a gift from God but is weapon use by Satan to destroy our faith and confidence. So today build your confidence in God and walk in righteousness and love. God bless you visit www.symponuity.com for daily devotional msgs http://www.symponuity.com/2017/09/learning-to-have-extraordinary.html?m=1 |

France has denied information that the Financial headquarters of the proscribed Indeginous People of Biafra (IPOB) is located in that country. President of France Emmanuel Macron addresses the United Nations General Assembly at UN headquarters, September 19, 2017 in New York City. Among the issues facing the assembly this year are North Korea’s nuclear developement, violence against the Rohingya Muslim minority in Myanmar and the debate over climate change. AFP Political Counsellor, Claude Abily of the Embassy of France in a statement made to newsmen in Abuja yesterday said it is shocked by the statement attributed to Minister of Information, Lai Mohamed which claimed that the financial headquarters of IPOB is in France. Abily in the statement said France is ready to cooperate with Nigeria to investigate the veracity of the Federal government’s claim, adding that France as a country have been given support to Nigeria in tackling her security challenges. France also in the statement declared support for the unity of Nigeria. The statement read, “The Embassy of France was surprised by the statement made yesterday by the Minister of Information and Culture indicating that the “financial headquarters” of IPOB were in France. “We don’t have any knowledge of a particular presence of IPOB in France and the Nigerian authorities never got in touch with the Embassy on this point. “We stand ready to examine any information which could support this statement. “Furthermore, we would like to reiterate that France actively cooperates with Nigeria in the field of security and that we strongly support the unity of the country. The Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, had on Wednesday at a news conference in Abuja, claimed that the financial headquarters of IPOB is in France. According to the minister, available records showed that the IPOB was getting money both from the Diaspora and at home. He said: ‘We have the records, we know IPOB collects money from many people from diaspora, they collect money from many people in Nigeria they collect money from some foreign countries, this is clear. “Let me tell you, the financial headquarters is in France, we know, but you see, can you as a government stop sending money to your parents? You have to block the sources of finance that is what I said recently. “It is incontrovertible that some people in diaspora contribute money to IPOB, where does he get his money from. We know this as a fact again there are a few very naughty diplomatic issues which you need to skip”, he said. |

FOR alleged irregular appointments, no fewer than 190 Magistrates and Senior Registrars in the employment of the Ondo State judiciary have either been sacked or suspended from service. We reliably gathered over the weekend that 70 magistrates and Senior Registrars have received their letters of suspension or termination of appointments. Others would be served their letters from today sources in the judiciary confided in Vanguard in Akure. In a swift reaction the Akure Chapter of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) said “since the JSC which employed them declare the appointment irregular, the association would wade into it and see what made the appointments irregular. Also, the state Chairman of the NBA, Tunji Oso, said the list of the affected judicial officers was being complied for the necessary interface with the relevant government officials. He added that; ‘’The JSC which employed the staff could sack them but must follow the laid down procedure affecting their terms of employment.’’ Findings showed that mostly affected by the exercise were the Magistrates and Senior Registrars employed by the State Judicial Service Commission (JSC) between 2011 and 2016. However, the state Chief Judge, by the act setting up the State JSC is the Chairman. Justices Olaseinde Kumuyi (rtd) who was the former chief judge and his successor Justice Temitayo Osoba were the helmsmen in the JSC when the perceived “irregular appointments” were made. http://www.symponuity.com/2017/09/ijaw-youths-describe-proscription-of.html?m=1 |
[b]Buhari holds closed-door meeting with Northern govs …Jonathan sues for peace, asks Council of State to intervene …Senate to meet security chiefs …Army can’t declare us terrorists— IPOB …No hiding place for IPOB members in Anambra—Obiano —The Abia State Police Commissioner, Anthony Ogbizi, has said that with the proscription of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, by governors in the South-East and its declaration as a terrorist group by Defence Headquarters, arrested IPOB members would be tried as terrorists and anybody found with Biafra materials would be arrested and prosecuted. Nigerian army feeds arrested IPOB members with rice, fried chicken This came as President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, held a closed-door meeting with some northern governors before departing for New York where he will be attending the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA. This is even as former President Goodluck Jonathan has called for peaceful coexistence among the different ethnic nationalities. In a related development, President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, said the Senate would meet with security chiefs to chart a path for resolution of contentious issues engendering tension in the South-East. IPOB members to be tried for murder Ogbizi disclosed this at a media briefing where he paraded seven of the suspected members of IPOB at Ariaria police station in Aba. The Police said they have arrested 59 suspected members of IPOB, in Abia State. They also confirmed the death of an officer after an attack by members of the now outlawed group. He said the suspects would be prosecuted under the anti-terrorism act to ensure they were properly dealt with. While restating what the army had earlier said, Ogbizi said IPOB had shown itself to be a “terrorist group,” which must be dealt with as such. Ogbizi said the army recovered several exhibits, including the coat of arms of Biafra from the suspects, adding: “As I am talking to you now, information reaching me said they have started gathering at Nnamdi Kanu’s house.” Ogbizi called on citizens to volunteer information on the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB and denied the rumours circulating in the state that security agents arrested Kanu’s father. Buhari holds closed-door meeting with Northern govs The governors that were in closed-door meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja were Kashim Shettima of Borno State, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State. It was gathered that the meeting may not be unconnected with the alleged skirmishes in some parts of the north where people from a section of the country were reportedly being attacked and their shops burnt as a reprisal attack to the recent development in the South-East. Special Adviser to Governor Tambuwal on Media, Mallam Imam Liman, confirmed the meeting on his Facebook page, yesterday, in Abuja http://www.symponuity.com/2017/09/nigeria-fg-kicks-as-oil-electricity.html?m=1 |
Eyewitness alleges 15 died • Trucks burnt in IPOB, army clash • Ikpeazu declares curfew in Aba • Troops attack NUJ office, journalists • Ohanaeze asks FG to stop military operation, says it escalates crisis There was tension in Abia State yesterday as soldiers laid siege to the Afaraukwu country home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, and clashed with members of his group leading to the alleged death of 15 persons. It was learnt that the soldiers arrived in the community yesterday barely 48 hours after the clash between them and IPOB members on Sunday evening. The return of the soldiers with about 10 armoured personnel carriers (APCs) and seven Hilux vans caused panic in the area, forcing shop owners to close immediately. Some of the soldiers also invaded the Abia State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists on Aba Road, Umuahia, and destroyed laptops and other valuables. According to journalists at the secretariat, the soldiers claimed they saw somebody taking photographs of them from the building. The Chairman of Council, Mr. John Emejor, who confirmed the incident, said a national officer of the union, Ezeogo Bonny Okoro was slapped by one of the soldiers. “Our stand is that those involved in this attack on innocent journalists should be fished out and punished in line with the constitution of the country,” he said. The Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 14 Brigade, Major Oyegoke Gbadamosi, confirmed the incident and asked Emejor to send the photograph of the damaged office to him. Yesterday, truckloads of IPOB members headed for Afaraukwu apparently to show solidarity to Kanu. Some members of the group moving into Umuahia were allegedly confronted at Isiala-Ngwa junction yesterday afternoon by soldiers. Some of the trucks conveying IPOB members waving the Biafra flags were seen on the dilapidated Enugu-Port Harcourt highway yesterday evening on their way to Abia State. What started like a drama of sort at the Isialangwa junction in Abia later snowballed into a major crisis that claimed lives and injuries. The Guardian learnt that at least 10 trucks were burnt with over 15 dead bodies lying on the Aba-Port Harcourt highway yesterday evening. It was learnt that the majority of those who died were either felled by bullets allegedly fired by soldiers or hit by other objects while trying to escape. A source disclosed how the trouble began: “On getting to Isiala Ngwa junction after Aba, they encountered an army check point which refused to allow them continue in their movement. This sparked off a quarrel as many other truckloads joined them. During the ensuing confrontation, bullets began to go up, especially when the IPOB members attempted to force their way to Umuahia. “At the checkpoint so many people were injured, some received head cuts, some were arrested and there were some who also lost their lives.” Information about the incident which spread to Aba, Obigbo, Port Harcourt in River State had infuriated members of the IPOB who poured into the streets and started destroying things and attacking security agents, including policemen on duty. A source said he was searched at many locations between Bayelsa and Aba. “I saw dead bodies on the way and I thank God I did not run into the crisis. I saw bonfires made here and there and trailers that were set on fire.” A source also said that most places in Obigbo in Rivers State were vacated after soldiers stormed the area in search of IPOB boys who blocked major roads in protest against the killing of their members at the Isiala Ngwa junction. A meeting scheduled to hold on Friday by governors of the south-east zone to discuss issues relating to the Biafra agitation may no longer hold as Kanu has opted out. It was learnt that Ebonyi State Governor and Chairman of South-east Governors’ Forum, Dave Umahi, had called the meeting as a follow-up to the one held in Enugu on August 30. The earlier meeting attended by the south-east governors and other Igbo leaders had resolved to “engage Kanu and the entire leadership of IPOB in further meetings and dialogue with a view to quickening the resolutions of all issues amicably.” A source told The Guardian: “We thought we had made an in-road when we invited Kanu to the first meeting and he attended. There were discussions and we agreed to meet again soon. Now, the Ebonyi governor said I should inform Kanu and others about another meeting this Friday. I called Kanu and he agreed to come. “But this afternoon, he (Kanu) called to say that he would no longer attend the meeting. He said the attacks and harassments on his life were becoming unbearable. What this means is that we may have wasted our time in the entire effort to get these issues resolved.” The source disclosed that a military tank had allegedly been deployed at the residence of Kanu, stressing that such amounted to “house arrest, because he can no longer move out of his residence.” And worried about the security situation in Abia State, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has imposed a dusk –to-dawn curfew (6:00p.m. to 6:00a.m.) at Aba. Meanwhile, apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has urged the Federal Government to direct the military to call off its operation in the south-east, saying it was an invasion in the region aimed at intimidating the people. In a seven-point statement issued in Enugu yesterday by its President General, Chief John Nnia Nwodo, the Igbo leaders said that “Nigeria at this moment does not need such deliberate and proactive escalation of tensions and crisis.” On September 8, 2017, the Chief of Training and Operations of the Nigerian Army, Major General D. D. Ahmadu, announced an exercise called Operation Python Dance II which he said was going to take place in the five south-eastern states to address “rampancy of assassinations, attack on security personnel, and theft of weapons, violent agitations, armed banditry and kidnapping.” The Operation Python Dance 11, coming less than one week after the south-east zone was declared the safest in the country with the least crime rates, is expected to kick off on Friday and will be sustained till October 14. But Ohanaeze insisted that rather than resort to the use of brute force in resolution of issue of self- determination, “there are more civilised and established practices to resolve our democratic and security challenges.” The south-east leaders said that if the alleged act of intimidation is not discontinued immediately, they would be left with no alternative than to “conclude that this is a containment policy aimed at the south-east to intimidate our people from freely expressing their anger and angst at their marginalisation and treatment as second class citizens.” Ohanaeze noted that the claim that the military operation “is aimed at checking increasing crime in the region” has no empirical support because the first python dance was used to “extort money from our people and never addressed the issue of crime.” http://www.symponuity.com/2017/09/many-feared-killed-as-soldiers-lay.html?m=1 |
Biafra was justice and freedom. But Biafra has become a tool for charlatans, a toy for dissipation of youthful exuberance. Biafra once evoked Igbo unity and enterprise. But Biafra has now been appropriated by jobless opportunists who exploit the frustrations of their poor brothers. Biafra was Igbo fellowship. But this their new Biafra thrives on cannibalizing fellow Igbos. Biafra was consultation, consensus. This Biafra is now extremism, hallucination, egocentrism. This Biafra is propelled by shallowness, mental shabbiness and intolerance. Biafra was refuge for Igbos. Biafra is now out of bounds to contrary Igbo opinions and ideas. Biafra birthed genius. Biafra now mints Igbo traitors , ‘efulefus’ everyday. Biafra was home. It was welcoming. This new Biafra is frightening. File: From left, Anambra State Deputy Governor, Nkem Okeke; Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State; Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State; IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu; Prof Ben Nwabueze and President of Igbo Youth Movement, Elliot Uko, shortly after IPOB leader’s meeting with South East Governors in Enugu, yesterday. Photo: Dennis Agbo. I don’t like the present day Nigeria. But an Igbo land controlled by the IPOB is a nightmare. The IPOB has become a gross security nuisance. The IPOB proclaims non violence but threatens mayhem at the merest of excitations. The IPOB forcibly shuts down markets. The IPOB freely preaches hate. The IPOB frivolously announces threats to stop elections in Igbo land. The IPOB lacks a moral foundation. The IPOB has a philosophy of violence. Nnamdi Kanu in 2015 told the gathering at the World Igbo Congress that Biafra would only materialize through violence. The Arewa Youths committed treason. Yes. And they should be in Enugu prisons. But the Federal Government’s double standards cannot justify the trenchant belligerence of the IPOB. The IPOB is dangerously implacable. The IPOB has refused to refrain from incendiary speeches. They have fallen in love with slipperiness and ambiguity. Nnamdi Kanu cannot remember he once asked for guns and bullets. He now mouths civil disobedience. Yet this new pacifist Nnamdi Kanu talked about going to Abuja with two million people. He talked about burning Abuja if his bail was revoked. Then he talked about beheading the president. Then he announced that any policeman who tried to execute a bench warrant against him would be slaughtered. Nnamdi Kanu is not insane. But everybody, it appears, wants him clothed with the immunity reserved for the insane. The response from Igbo politicians has been has trepidation. They think he must be left alone. So that he doesn’t bring Armageddon down on the society. Who would blame the Igbo politicians? A top government official told a stunned country government didn’t prosecute the Arewa Youths because the boys were misquoted even as they kept repeating their order until they recently rescinded it. The government official of ministerial status is guilty of nepotism. But nothing justifies Nnamdi Kanu. This Crisis has lurked and loomed. It is now unfurling. Some have spoken against the army’s intervention. Many out of timidity. The IPOB’s wrath is now dreaded by all. Others out of useless idealism. Their examples are Norway and Canada. And a few out of sadism. The argument that the army should not be found in civilian spaces is unrealistic. The army is part and parcel of the civilian security infrastructure in Nigeria. It checks armed robbery. The army helps with security for conduct of elections. You can label them aberrations. They are certainly cultural now. The Army once rescued a lost Abia from kidnappers. Was the army supposed to get involved now only after Nnamdi Kanu’s bail has been revoked and his boys started burning the country? The idea that operation python dance is illegal or illegitimate is faulty. The army was deployed by a legitimate civilian authority. It was deployed to perform a constitutional role. The Army is constitutionally mandated to provide internal security against insurrection. Operation python dance is an internal security operation. These operations have taken place in other regions of the country. The propriety of the operations and the barbarity of some soldiers are separate considerations. Soldiers ought to be professional. Soldiers must respect the rights of citizens and groups, including Kanu and his IPOB. These operations are fraught with risks. But the military must maintain strict rules of engagement. Soldiers cannot kill IPOB members indiscriminately. Soldiers cannot engage in the torture of any citizen. The army authorities must have a firm grip of the operation. If the video clips being circulated are true, the army must find and punish soldiers that kill or torture indiscriminately. Murder is murder. The invasion of the offices of Nigerian union of journalists is condemnable. Those who stormed those offices and beat up journalists are bad eggs, rogue soldiers. Journalists ought to cover the movement of troops on the streets. The soldiers who assaulted Journalists must be sanctioned. But the idea that army’s presence around Afara ukwu, the ancestral home of Nnamdi Kanu amounts to provocation, is utter nonsense. The army must concentrate on deterring potential trouble makers. If the army cannot pass through the streets near Nnamdi Kanu’s house why would the army pass by anybody’s house at all? We cannot treat the IPOB as an inflammable group whose precarious moods the whole nation must stoop to nurse. The politicians in the Southeast haven’t shown courage. They have chosen demagoguery and ambivalence and called it tact. Ohaneze, which has been described by the IPOB as a bunch of old men, who have sold their conscience for political crumbs, are intimidated. They have asked the army to leave. If the army is intimidated out of Igbo land, my honest advise would be for all Igbo politicians to relocate to Abuja. The monster that the IPOB has become cannot be contained by the police alone. The IPOB is intent on an immediate take over of the political structures in Igbo land. That’s a lofty ambition. But the group is disdainful of routine democratic processes. The group is intimidating opposing voices into lamentable silence. A mentally malnourished and rabid IPOB seeks domination of Igbo politics. That is a nightmare. The army must remain in the southeast. The army must remain to forestall a total breakdown of law and order. The army and its operations are part of the negotiations that should take place. The army must find ways to win the hearts and minds of Igbos while maintaining order in Igbo land. Peace should matter to all. Operation python dance could include repairs of roads and bridges and some rural schools by the military. But there is no military solution to the real problem. The Federal government should begin processes that would lead to true fiscal federalism and devolution of powers to the regions. Many who have fallen into the hands of the IPOB and their wiles have done so out of economic and political frustrations. They are redeemable. The overall interests of the Igbos are served best by an equitable and fair Nigeria. Biafra should be a last defensive resort. Igbos, in present day Nigeria, are marginalized. But they are not desperately seeking an enclave for refuge. source http://www.symponuity.com/2017/09/biafra-army-and-ipob.html?m=1 |
THE meeting between the Federal Government Negotiation Team and striking non teaching staff in the universities was inconclusive last night but with some agreements reached between the two parties. NLC President, Omar and the General Secretary of NASU, Adeyemi Though the Federal Government team led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige had agreed to the 12 points demand of the three non academic staff unions of universities, the unions declined to sign agreement with the Federal Government at the end of the meeting that lasted for nine hours. Reading some of the decisions reached at the meeting, Senator Ngige who was flanked by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Prof. Stephen Ocheni stated that the Federal Government has approved the payment of N23 billion for Earned Allowances for Academic and Non Academic Staff of the universities during the negotiation with various parties. source http://www.symponuity.com/2017/09/fg-ssanu-nasu-naat-negotiation.html?m=1 |
Hope that the strike action embarked upon by Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, is about to come to an end appears dashed as congresses of universities met across the country to deliberate on the recent agreements reached between the leadership of the union and the Federal Government. Feelers from the congresses that have met indicate that the unions were not ready to call of the strike because the government is yet to show the necessary commitment to their plights. For instance, in congresses held yesterday at the University of Ibadan, UI, and Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, EKSU, members of the union decided to continue with the strike action on the ground that the Federal Government’s offers are not acceptable to them. According to reliable sources, the staff are not comfortable with the fact that only about one of the seven demands, which is the issue of staff schools of the universities was convincingly addressed by the government. Government only made promises as regards the other demands which do not show any difference from what was on ground before the strike. As at the time of filing this report, UI was devoid of activities as all unions on campus both academic and non academic have embarked on indefinite strike. A lecturer from EKSU said, “We have agreed that the strike must continue until the Federal Government is ready to grant our demands in practical way not in promissory act”. In one of the interaction with the media after the last meeting the union had with the government, ASUU President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi said that he could not determine when the union would call off its strike adding that calling off the strike would be determined by the entire members of the union. However, the effects of the strike has began to manifest as some students who have secured employments have decided to abandon their academic programmes. A Master’s Degree student of UI who did not want his name mentioned said, “I have been looking for a job for a while now. Because I don’t want to be sitting at home, I obtained a postgraduate form and I was admitted. We were about to start our exam when the strike action began. Now I have a job. I can’t trade the job with the Master’s prpogramme. If I decide to leave the job and go back to school when the strike action is over, what gives me the impression that I will get a job as soon as I am through with the Master’s programme? I will do the Master’s programme when it is more convenient”. Another student said, “I am considering private university, maybe BABCOCK or Lead City University. Government universities in Nigeria are becoming a problem and time waster. Unfortunately, we don’t have responsible government who will be ready to do what the unions are asking for. First, people in government will chose to embezzle people’s money or mismanage it rather than using it for public good. Since Nigeria has been in recession, have you heard political office holders reducing their salaries and allowances? Go to the National Assembly, and see the exotic cars they are buying. Their salaries are been paid as at when due. Under the nose of President Muhammadu Buhari, those in the executive are also stealing. How many thieves will Buhari catch? continue reading http://www.symponuity.com/2017/09/ASUU-strike-no-end-in-sight.html?m=1 |

Look at “Failing” as More of a Positive We do not like to fail at something, so we immediately perceive it as a terrible thing, and we tend to fear failure a great deal. Yes, failure can be a terrible thing, at first. Hopes get squashed and disappointment ensues shortly thereafter. Then comes the feelings of anxiety, embarrassment, and the wondering of what to do next. When you think about all of the times you have failed at something, think about what happened after that, even months or years later, when you were faced with a similar situation. More than likely, you did things differently the next time around, and were successful! Failure is not a bad thing, it actually is just one step towards reaching your goals and dreams better the next time around. Live a fearless life by laughing at any failure, and don’t give up. Of course, it’s not always easy, but what better option have you got? Do Not Try to Make Everyone Happy If you find that you are a “yes person”, one who says “yes” to everyone for fear of disappointing them, try to understand that you also need to focus on you and what works for you. After all, you only have one life, and it is important to be in a happy and positive state of mind. Trying to please others in lieu of pleasing yourself may ultimately make you dissatisfied with your life. Living a fearless life sometimes means not worrying about what others think of you; as long as you do the best you can and know deep down that you are doing just that, you will learn to not worry about what others think. This is not the same as being selfish, by any means, it is just not always sacrificing your quality of life for others because you are fearful of making them upset. Face Your Fears Living a fearless life means to face your fears and acknowledge them. Fears are way more bearable once we uncover them. When you become fearful, of whatever it may be, rather than ignoring it, becoming more anxious, or changing yourself to adapt to the fears, just face them. When you admit your fears, the power of those fears becomes significantly less, and when you work on your mindset on how to deal with the fears, they may go away altogether. To learn how to face your fears, talk to a trusted friend, a counselor, your spouse, or read a self-help book that gives strategies on how to face them. One of the lessons I learned at Tony Robbins’ event in London was to turn fear into power. At his UPW seminar, he taught people to use fear and create breakthroughs. Admitting what scares you in this life and taking action to stop those fearful feelings will greatly benefit you in the long run! Eliminate Fear of Being in a Fearful Situation Fearful situations will happen |
