They only come there to work and go back to their houses at Surulere, Oworo, Gbagada, Ketu etc. The people living in those Ikoyi, VI and others are company executives, business owners, bank bosses and celebrities. Civil servants stay at Lagos Mainland.

there are some category of workers who don't touch that minimum wage. police is a good example. the problem is not even increasing of minimum wage to even 300k of possible but government must rejig the economy to allow cheaper prices of goods and services. lets wait and see this year and to know if Tinubu policies he has been championing will make life better and if not, we may consider another option for the office of president in next year election.

To my greatest shock , ShopRite has finally shut down operation in Nigeria . The once ever bubbling and lively suruelre mall , today , was like a ghost town ! Totally shut .

There are many other supermarket offering same services and closer to the people now. Jendor at ajah which open early this year has reduced the custormers in both lekki and sangotedo. ShopRite is still bubbling in state where there are no or little competition. edo state and delta state is a classical example. shoprite outlet in Lagos is not more than ten in Lagos but the likes of Boku, Justrite, Jendor and others has over hundred outlets.
