Dont get me wrong; Igbos do have poor people, but the number of poor and completely idle people in Igbo land is less than those in any other region of Nigeria and the reason is not far fetched; Igbos dont rely on paid jobs or government like most regions. They always resort to self help and self development, and couple with the fact that they dominate trade, commerce and small scale businesses in Nigeria, it helps reduce the number of idle youths in Igbo region compared to other regions.


And it's not easy to catch up with Igbos when it comes to business and trade because Igbos have spread all over the world over the decades making it easier for an Igbo person to startup business today with ease.
