clusay:Since you said it a good step pls can u pls explain it to us that dont understand in a layman term sir. |
dragunov:These country is like watching India movie. No wonder they will die in politics. |
frog12:Haa is that possible pls to earn such money has a minister? |
shortgun:But your pastors are not abi? We see them onscreen with thier tribal preaching. What do I call them. Let even say obi wins will u people criticise him? Must people from ur side won't he's not yet won ad we see how u pple always try to cover his wrongs. Those who live in glass house don't throw stones |
I tell people the day you follow nigerian mouth that's the day you will make mistakes. The same one shouting kill them straight away for terriost to kidnappers to thieves are now shouting extra ordinary kill or wetin una call am. What do u people really want? Straight killing or take them to court? |
MyExpression:That's why I laugh sometime when they insult tinubu. Obj was a brutal ruler. He dismantled opc, those guy were useless idiots, if you stay at Ago palace way okota then, you will know thier headquarters was at century, those guys started behaving like gods, bunch of illiterates the day Army stormed century hotel it was like war.. omo see has those opc pick race, demola was trying to show himself boy one bullet d guy shouted, faseheun was thrown inside a black Maria I heard they dump him inside a cementry. It took the yoruba oba to plead on his behave the next time we saw babe he was like a skeleton. That was what destroyed opc strength with d coming up of gang Adams too. |
Wickedfact:When I saw lot of what they wrote about obi when he was a Governor I was shocked. I won't lie I voted obi the last election but I don't think I would vote this time.onething I like about timubi is his gut to stand those who feel the control nigeria, only pple like tinubu and obj has got that gut. Call them bluff and do the right thing. No politician is clean but trying to make one look so holy is laughable. Who will win will win. |
essentialone:Why do u keep saying igbo ladies? Well I would rather pick a home grown woman of the tribe of igbo or northern than a yoruba or SS woman. I'm not saying they are no good women from the SS or Yoruba tribe but my top pick is igbo or a northern woman. A typical igbo pr northern have more respect for marriage than the other tribes. You finger out those ones then Tey go online from tiktok to X check which tribes write trash or display rubbish online, they are mostly for the SW/ SS. Ci spoke the other day that if the igbo are not careful the kind of wokeness the SW/ SS are practicing will creep into their tribe and it will destory thier women, which is now happening. |
PigTormentor:Don't mind them was Jonathan not a Christian and the governors in ss ad sE Christians too? They just want to bring in unnecessary confusion |
Did I just see iphone 17 for the brides father? I don't think this list is real. |
Pootle:So true but do nigerian have that kind of patience? Nigerians that want fast results like it's magic Nigerian want things cheap and free has far it's by Nigeria |
Pootle:Hmmmm u won't nigeria to burn abi? Subsidy is still causing problems u want them to privatize light... you just want them to finish tinubu finally. |
Yeah true..Jonathan unfortunately caved in to PDP and their lots who had no finance to invest in the industry but instead took what was left of the already weak power system. At least Prof company should have been allowed to bid and gotten a Disco or Genco slot or both since he had already resigned. No conflict of interest here. This is where Jonathan should have used his bottom executive powers. And if his company is prevented from bidding, Jonathan should have made him remain as Minister despite the resignation pressure to spearhead the drafting of procurement process and criteria needed to choose the best hands as good as his company or even better in all the privatization process. At least, in either case he would have still been in the system. Benefitting us from his expertise. The "unpatriotic" word used by the other guy was just out of it's nigeria loose and Abia gain. The mafia caucus didn't just want him, cos they wanted to milk and make money out of it, while the guy wanted to bring in expertise. I can bet you alot of people would having been shouting for him to get fired. But today he's a force |
chimex38:You getting the whole issue. How can u sack one of the best brain you had cos of pressure from pdp cos those that wanted the disco were powerful people I don't need mention them. No politicians thay doesn't have instrest in deals. One of the places Jonathan displaced his weakness and has for him he didn't play his card well and he was eaten by the corrupt bigger fish. |
persius555:Before you people accuss people find out the facts or you be termed has lieing. To straighten your wrong statement here are the facts. The Ossiomo Power Plant did not permanently “disappear” — but it has been facing serious disruptions, shutdowns, and disputes, especially from 2022 to 2026. Here’s the real situation, clearly explained: ⚡ 1. It actually worked well at first The plant (about 55–95MW capacity) started around 2020. It supplied reliable 22–24 hours power to: Edo government buildings Streetlights across Benin Industrial parks and some communities edostate.gov.ng +1 👉 That’s why many people praised it — it was one of the few working state-backed power solutions in Nigeria. ⚠️ 2. First major problem: Gas supply sabotage (2022) The plant suddenly stopped generating power at one point because: Gas supply to it was tampered with / cut off Edo State said this caused millions of dollars in losses edostate.gov.ng 👉 No gas = no electricity. That alone shut it down temporarily. ⚠️ 3. Bigger crisis: Ownership fight (2025–2026) This is the main reason you’re hearing issues about it now: There’s a serious dispute between: Nigerian owners (Ossiomo Power) Chinese partner CCETC Because of this: The plant was shut down around September 2025 The Guardian Nigeria Power supply to many customers stopped Some people even switched back to BEDC The dispute includes: Who actually owns the plant Control of infrastructure Contract disagreements ⚡ 4. Repeated outages & disruptions (2025–2026) Reports say: Transmission lines were disconnected multiple times Operations were interrupted for months Businesses, hospitals, and residents were affected DAILY TIMES Nigeria It did come back partially after some outages, but not fully stable The Guardian Nigeria 🧠 So what really happened (simple summary): 👉 Nothing “mysterious” — it’s a mix of: ⚙️ Technical issue (gas supply disruption) ⚖️ Business/political fight (ownership dispute) 🔌 Operational instability (frequent outages) 💬 Bottom line The Ossiomo plant is: Not dead But not stable either 👉 Its biggest problem now is human — ownership conflict, not lack of capacity. |
Jossyman0007:Which good old days? Tell me one power plant pdp built? You guys can be hiding tye truth. Through out pdp era light was never good. They broke phcn into pieces and sold it to pdp members the beginning of a trouble era. I can boost of 24hrs light at least 3 days a week and worst 16hrs light non blink. I don't do u pple politics I say the facts |
chimex38:To settle the dispute here what I found out. Former President Goodluck Jonathan did not publicly “sack” Barth Nnaji in the usual sense — he resigned, but under strong pressure. Here’s what really happened: 🔑 Main reason: Conflict of interest Nnaji was accused of having links to companies bidding to buy power assets during the privatization of PHCN (Nigeria’s power sector reform). Channels Television +1 Specifically, companies connected to him were involved in bids for Afam Generation Company and Enugu Distribution Company. Channels Television This created a serious conflict of interest, since he was the minister supervising the same privatization process. ⚠️ Presidency reaction Jonathan reportedly confronted him over this issue and felt it violated his oath of office. Daily Post There were also allegations he was fronting or indirectly benefiting from the deals, which worsened the situation. Kemi Filani 🏛️ Political pressure The ruling party (PDP at the time) also pushed for his removal, citing irregularities and concerns in the privatization process. Information Nigeria 🤝 What followed Facing all this, Nnaji resigned on August 28, 2012, and Jonathan immediately accepted it. Wikipedia The move was meant to protect the credibility of the power sector reforms. 🧠 In simple terms: He wasn’t removed because of poor performance — 👉 It was mainly about conflict of interest during the power sector privatization. I |
Lol see them he was referring to Jonathan. Jonathan sacked him and they calling Apc. He said everything fell apart after he was sacked. Someone even said he should not talk cos his boss doesn't like truth as in.. jesus S |
oz4real83:If we were better off why did the late Tai Solarin write about the suffering of the masses? Every regime people will say one is better. Lol it's a normal national anthem by Nigerians things were better than now |

God bless u, God bless Nigeria. |
Y adenigga:According to my finding to what you wrote this what i found out. Yes — but only briefly and as a peak record, not consistently. In March 2025, Nigeria’s power sector recorded a historic peak generation of about 6,003 MW, which is the first time it officially exceeded 6,000 MW. Legit.ng - Nigeria news. +1 This was described as a milestone, meaning it happened at a specific moment (peak output), not sustained daily supply. However, the bigger picture: Before that, Nigeria’s all-time peak was around 5,801 MW, below 6,000 MW. Halt Fake Even after hitting 6,000 MW once, actual regular generation is usually much lower (often between ~3,000 MW and 5,000 MW). Pulse Nigeria As of 2026, reports still show the country struggling to consistently meet or maintain 6,000 MW. Pulse Nigeria Bottom line ✅ Nigeria has exceeded 6,000 MW (once as a record peak in 2025) ❌ But it has not sustained 6,000 MW consistently in everyday electricity supply Here’s a clear, fact-based comparison of Nigeria’s highest recorded electricity generation peaks under the three administrations: 🇳🇬 Goodluck Jonathan (2010–2015) Peak generation: about 5,000 MW This was widely cited as a major milestone of his reforms. Premium Times Nigeria 👉 Reality: Nigeria was still struggling to consistently stay above 4,000–5,000 MW during this period. 🇳🇬 Muhammadu Buhari (2015–2023) Peak generation: about 5,074 MW (Feb 2016) This remained the official highest verified peak for years after Jonathan. TheCable +1 👉 Notes: There were political claims of 7,000 MW, but fact-checks confirmed Nigeria never reached that level. TheCable So realistically, Buhari’s era did not significantly exceed Jonathan’s peak. 🇳🇬 Bola Ahmed Tinubu (2023–present) Peak generation: 6,003 MW (March 2, 2025) This is the highest ever recorded in Nigeria’s history. Leadership 👉 Additional context: Transmission peak reached about 5,801 MW shortly after. Premium Times Nigeria 📊 Simple Comparison Administration Highest Peak (MW) Status Jonathan ~5,000 MW First major milestone Buhari ~5,074 MW Slight improvement, mostly stagnant Tinubu 6,003 MW All-time record (first to cross 6,000) ⚖️ Bottom line Jonathan: Took Nigeria to ~5,000 MW Buhari: Barely improved beyond that (~5,074 MW) Tinubu: First to break 6,000 MW, setting a new record |
2 HacheNoire:There's nothing they won't do sha.. they know themselves. This won't will election for them. |
MrSly:None of them tried only if u trying to mischievous. Is it buhari or Jonathan bomb was flying everywhere abi ubfirgotten d un building bombing? |
MrSly:Really how many died during Jonathan, Buhari, and how many in the hands of IPOB? How were they all able to sleep from the governors etc..... smh |
I don't get these idea of forcing someone to step down for anyone. Despite all the forces against tinubu he never asked anyone to step down for him.Ariku has the right to contest and no intimidation will stop him. If obi is looking for no contest nomination he shouldn't have left Lp or he should seek another party where he will be the sole candidate. |
4 madridguy:Technically you are right and he too is right. Due to you guys arguing these what I found out. the reality in Mali is more mixed than “people are happy so they fully support the military.” After the coups in 2020 and 2021, led by figures like Assimi Goïta, many Malians initially welcomed the military. Why? Mainly because there was deep frustration with the previous civilian government—corruption, insecurity, and failure to deal with jihadist violence had made people lose trust. So yes, in the beginning: There were public demonstrations supporting the military. Some citizens saw them as a chance for a reset. Anti-foreign (especially French) sentiment also boosted support for the junta. But that doesn’t mean universal or permanent happiness. Over time: Security has not significantly improved in many regions. Economic conditions remain difficult. Political freedoms have been restricted (media pressure, delays in returning to civilian rule). Support today is divided: Some still back the military, especially those who distrust politicians or external influence. Others are increasingly frustrated but may not openly protest due to restrictions. Regarding Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS): ECOWAS imposed sanctions on Mali after the coups, which hurt the economy and angered many citizens. This made ECOWAS unpopular among parts of the population, feeding the idea that it “has nothing to offer.” However, ECOWAS’ role is to push for democratic governance, not necessarily to provide immediate economic relief. So in simple terms: Yes, some Malians support the military and cooperate with them. No, it’s not accurate to say all “good people of Mali” are happy. And ECOWAS is unpopular in Mali right now, but saying it has “nothing to offer” depends on perspective—its focus is political stability and democracy, not short-term popularity. |
lapintoz:Let me see if I can upload something I found. They attack umahi who has done his best for the east to gain from this administration. If each one person from the east has done one project thru the federal government east would have gained alot from Gej administration and would have gone far ahead.
Dele Farotimi wrote: "As a Yoruba man. I really envy Peter Obi. And would be waiting patiently for the day when we will have a Governor of South west extraction that would replicate what he did in Anambra state. I can't wait to have a Governor of a south Western state who like PETER OBI will rule a state for 8yrs; 1. He didn't borrow a Kobo. 2. He didn't use bulletproof car. 3. He never lived outside the state till end. 4. He met a debt of N36billion. 5. He met Onitsha as a terror zone. 6. He met his state at 27 in WAEC and NECO. 7. He met a kitchen called Govt House. 8. He met no Primary Healthcare. 9. He met no General Hospital in 14-LGs. 10. He met poor Pri. and Sec. school structures. Before leaving; 1. Anambra wasn't owing any contractor or worker. 2. He cleared the inherited ₦36billion debt. 3. He brought in SMEs to the traders of the state. 4. He built the today's Govt House. 5. He built 18-Gen Hospitals and a state Specialist. 6. He built 178-Primary Health centres. 7. He fought and won the state against hoodlums. 8. He pushed the state 1st in 3yrs consecutively in WAEC and NECO. 9. He built brewery that employed over 3000 direct and indirect job seekers. 10. He even had to save ₦36billion and $150million for his successors to use and run administrations. 11. He drove 406 and Innoson throughout. 12. He didn't acquire any property anywhere while in office. 13. He never awarded any contract to family members. 14. He never went close to State Govt House after handing over. 19. He never struggle to frustrate his successors policies. 20. Till today, he kept gifting multi-millions to Schools, Healthcare development, and entrepreneurship developments. 21. He even work as Chairman of SEC at the national stage without pay If your definition of leadership is right you won't be against Peter Obi. Only a selfish mind would see all these and still question it. Peter Obi - a man that defiles Nigeria's version of leadership. - Dele Farotimi[/quote Una din start again.... oga cool down..... every governor has thier achievement but when una begin to add vanilla flavour hmmm. We'll. This the fact I found out about what you wrote. Short answer: that list is a mix of facts, exaggerations, and some claims that are disputed or not verifiable. Peter Obi did have a reputation for fiscal discipline and reforms, but not everything on that list is fully accurate as stated. Here’s a clearer, fact-checked breakdown: ✅ Generally TRUE (but sometimes overstated) Debt reduction & savings: Obi is widely credited with improving Anambra’s finances. He reduced debt and left significant savings (often reported around ₦30–₦70 billion plus some foreign currency). The exact figures vary depending on the source. Investment in education: Anambra performed very well in WAEC/NECO rankings during his tenure. His administration supported schools (including mission schools). Healthcare & education projects: He built and upgraded hospitals and schools, though the exact numbers (e.g., 178 PHCs, 18 general hospitals) are likely inflated. Security improvement: He worked with security agencies and community leaders to reduce crime, especially compared to the period before his tenure. Frugal lifestyle image: He was known for modest personal style (e.g., simple cars), though the specific “406 and Innoson only” claim is more symbolic than strictly documented. ⚠️ PARTLY TRUE / NEEDS CONTEXT “No contractor or worker was owed” Not fully verifiable. Governments typically have ongoing obligations, though he may have reduced arrears. “Cleared ₦36 billion debt” He restructured and reduced debt, but whether it was fully “cleared” is debated. “Built Government House” He completed and moved into a Government House, but the project had a history before him. “Brewery employing 3000” Obi attracted investments (like SABMiller in Onitsha), but job figures like 3000 are likely exaggerated. “Didn’t award contracts to family” / “wife had no influence” These are reputation-based claims, hard to independently verify fully. ❌ UNCERTAIN / LIKELY EXAGGERATED Exact number of hospitals/PHCs (18 + 178) No strong public records confirming those exact figures. “Obasanjo stayed 1 week in Onitsha because of peace” Olusegun Obasanjo did visit Anambra, but this specific story is not well documented. “Invited anti-graft to audit before leaving” Not widely confirmed in official records. “Worked as SEC chairman without pay” There’s no solid evidence he served as SEC chairman; this claim is incorrect. 🟢 Widely ACCEPTED ABOUT HIS TENURE Focus on saving money and limiting borrowing Emphasis on education and human capital Encouragement of private-sector investment Reputation for less flashy governance compared to peers Bottom line That list is political messaging, not a clean historical record. Peter Obi did perform relatively well in fiscal management and reforms, but: Some achievements are real but exaggerated Some are partly true but simplified A lot are unproven or false |
Apus:From the military recommendation thru to obj, yara dual, Jonathan, buhari and tinubu have all disappointed when it comes to light issue. But yo be fair enough since my years in nigeria I think this era is when I have ever sen 24hrs light for 2 day straight thou there still a long way to go. Has far we have bad maintainace culture things won't work. Look at d Abuja and lagos stadium lack of maintainace and many more.
