TITHE VS CHRISTIAN GIVING Tithe: Was a compulsory requirement for the Israelites Christians giving is not to be under compulsion "for God loves a cheerful giver" Read Ii Cor. 9:7 There is no known record in the Bible that Jesus or any of his disciples or any first century Christian paid tithe What true Christians offer to God today is more valuable than tithe, it is called " sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of our lips" or our involvement in the preaching work.. Read Heb. 13:15. Christ's death and resurrection caused "sacrifices and gift offering to cease" Read Dan. 9:27 SO TODAY GOD REQUIRE THAT WE GIVE TO HIM WILLINGLY NOT UNDR COMPULSION ACCORDING AS HE HAS BLESS US FINANANCIAL RESOURCES, OUR TIME AND OUR EFFORT IN HIS SERVICE. TITHE WAS A SHADOW OF REALITY... |
LETS TALK ABOUT TITHES A LITTLE BIT - This information is for the humble ones only The popular command to pay tithe found at Malachi 3:10 was directed to the Israelites who were not of the tribe of Levi Remember that the Levites did not have any inheritance in terms of land allotment in Isreal. The Bible say "God is their snare" And so tithe collected from the other tribes was used to support the Levite's as well as pure worship in the temple. Tithe was made compulsory for the children of Isreal, hence failure to pay amounted to robbing God. Does tithing also applies to Christians? My next post will answer that question shortly. |
Larrey:Anyone who still pay tithe should also look for a high priest to carry out animal sacrifices on behalf of his/her sins... Lol! |
Is Jesus Christ God? Answer: No Reason: I Cor: 8:6 " there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, though whom all things are...," Was Jesus Created? Answer: Yes Reason: Col. 1:15 "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation...," Yes, because of all the things that Jehoah God created, Jesus came first. That is why the scripture refers to Jesus as the only begotten son of God (John 3:16) Is John 1:1 Right that Jesus is God? Answer: No in the sense of being God Almighty, Yes in the sense of being a God Please note "In the beginning was the word... and the word was God" It is only KJV that say " the word was God" Reason: Other translations put it more correctly " and the word was a god" , "and the word was a logos (or divine being), etc. Note also that Jehovah God does not have a beginning, so John 1:1 could not have referred to Him because the bible calls Him " king of eternity " (Rev. 15:3, Psm. 90:2) So Dear Friends, Jesus is not the Almighty God but the son of God, he is also referred to as a Mighty God, as Isaiah 9:6 rightly put it, our hope of everlasting life depends on our putting Faith in him and in obeying God's commandments.
