EXEGESIS OF A LAYMAN (Episode one)

I have always been different; in the sense that I like asking questions whether logical or stupid - it is my right to know.

There are many things we do today, which we cannot explain why we do it, except that somebody sometime ago asked us to be doing it.

So we get upset when people ask questions on why we do those things, we forget that everybody cannot be an inside- the -box- thinker like us, and that some of us are so revolutionary in thinking that they can even break the box for the rest of us to see what we are missing. Without such crazy thinkers there wouldn't be great inventions and innovations today; so congratulate yourself if you're one of the great thinkers of our time.

I have asked certain questions on some of the most incredible church doctrines that are huge impediment for people who are hungry for christ, but are intercepted by the overzealous church people.

1) why do churches go against interdenominational marriages even when both parties are one in the body of christ?

2) Why do some churches preach against ostentatious living; like dressing smart and gorgeous, whereas our pastors(who we look up to as models) wears the latest designer suits and shoes? would looking smart and gorgeous deny us of God free gift of salvation? Some churches even sees jewelries(Like gold and diamond) as a forbidden fashion accessories for every true believer.

3) Why are we;the church- very judgmental and too quick in condemning others just because they're children of darkness or so we think, forgetting that once we where in darkness before christ redeemed us and we are to extend such love to others while depending on the holy ghost to do the convincing.

I hope we're not the reason why so many people are running away from the free gift of Christ; salvation.Stop imitating the pharisees who mandate people to do what they cannot do rather be the John the Baptist that points people to christ.
