I'm seeking advice on a difficult situation. Since returning to Nigeria, my life has become increasingly challenging, and my wife's behavior has made things worse. She constantly insults me and disregards my opinions, largely because I'm currently unable to provide for her financially. Ironically, I supported her financially while living abroad, sacrificing my own savings.

Compounding the issue is the presence of her older sister, who has been living with us for years. I find it uncomfortable and disrespectful that my wife frequently discusses me with her sister, often criticizing me within earshot. I've tried addressing this with her, but it only leads to quarrels.

I've attempted to involve her father, but he hasn't been helpful. It seems no one is willing to intervene or counsel her. Honestly, I regret marrying someone who values financial security above our relationship. We've been married for 7 to 8 years now, and I have nothing to show for it, while she has achieved her goal of building a house – without my knowledge, I even contribution in the house but she said it's her our house not ours, I didn't see papers of the land, she refused to show me.

I believe separation is the best option, allowing me to rebuild my life. However, she refuses, citing concerns about being a single mother. I need guidance on navigating this situation and finding a peaceful resolution.
