Romance / Re: Why Do Men Want To Marry Virgins? by keltin(m): 3:31am On Jul 28, 2007
Bblak,

Nice thoughts but I hope you didn't miss my point. My point is that you don't make a marital decision on just whether a person is a virgin or not. You make such a unique and life defining decision on principles that are higher than just a person's "sexual status".  While I value and honor good morals, it's my opinion that a lady's sexual life (virgin or not!!!!) should not be a man's absolute determining factor for marriage.  Again, I'm not attempting to over-sell my opinion or short-sell the "virtue" of virginity but as a man, my drive would always be on whether I'll be happy with a lady, virgin or not!!!! What's the point in marrying a virgin who is a pathetic liar or a sexually experienced girl who is good at keeping malice I hope you get my point?
So if you have interesting friends that are virgin then great!!!!!! If I had to,  I'll be attracted to your friends on the basis of their personality (in totality) and not just their "sexual status". Let's leave this horse alone because it's obviously beaten to death.
As for the guys who keep talking about "experience", please remember marriage is not all about sex. Also, there is nothing holding back couples from discussing or inventing ways to make their sexual life as beautiful as they desire. Couples should find out what works for them sexually (it's never a selfish game) and commit to making their sex life increasingly sweeter.
In closing, sex is one of life's sweetest gifts but love is not all about "sexual status" and "sexual experience levels". My parting gift: Marry your friend!!!! Marry a real person who will continue to make you happy!!! Good luck to y'all !!!!!!

it's because most men are hypocritical!!!! yeah, you read that right!!!! why would men sleep around, feel no remorse for their acts but expect d ladies to bear a bigger "curse" for doing the same thing? and who even put such wrong ideas into d heads of a few lousy men dat just because a lady is a virgin, she's the "best" thing that could ever happen to them? i know you may be saying "keltin, what's ur point?". well, i have an interesting friend that is not a virgin and another boring friend with ugly character(sadly !!!)  who is a virgin, while, i believe in morals(whatever dat means to you), i would never marry my virgin friend(no offence meant) because my life could end up being such a boring  and painful life!!!!!  In a nutshell, here are my points:
1) every body has a past (dat includes the guys with an ugly craving for anything on skirts or trousers these days hahahaha)
2) people have different areas in which they fail/ have failed, for some ladies, it may be losing their virginity and for the virgins, it may be something worst like never telling the truth or even stealing,  did i just say dat, ?
3) you should never choose a wife just on the grounds of virginity rather ask the question : will i be happy with her?
4)and if the past is too important to you then ask yourself or find out if there's anything in her past that has the potential of affecting your future, ?
5) whatever, you do, always remember that the past is good enough for reference but never as a standard or yardstick,  stay focused on the future!!!

God bless!!
