Glory to GOD!!

It is done in JESUS' Name, AMEN!!

You can apply after 4months sister, for you baby it is called visitor's visa.
Sorry why 4months if I may ask? I thought (from what Gurus in the house shared) @Lianna2020 can apply at “most” when she gets to Canada after documentation in school. @fairlytreated shared her experience applying for her kids after getting her visa approved. I guess she’s yet to travel.
Looking forward to getting to this stage (visa approval) and then decide on the next stage. God help us all.

Submitted application may 15, biometrics may 20.
No NSE request yet so I proceeded to write IELTS should they ask for it.

Due to my work schedule, I no really prepare for IELTS but I believed na just English we want go speak and write. Below is my IELTS experience.

Speaking: done on may 26 British council

I entered with all smile, with kpk lifestyle on my mind, this Canada, na everybody go enter.

Examiner: Do you live in a house or apartment?
Me: paused and thought, na house e go be. So I said house.

Examiner: Describe, your house
Me: Without calming down, I said the house is a 3 bedroom apartment. Lol! I don gbagaun before I realized. I quickly changed to the house is a 3 bedroom flat and listed all features.

Aside that, the remaining interview went well.

Writing: Tried my best
Reading: I feel I did well

Listening: I don listen and answer reach number 16. Then, from no where, my mind just flashed back to my binace wallet wey coins de dip. Before my mind came back, dem don de number 25 Wtf! Then I realized, village people don locate me. Well, it ended and I just de tick and guess answers. Na only God for save me for that end.

I'll upload the result once dem come out make una fit learn one or two lessons from me.

I just have the feeling that my visa application will be approved regardless.
Lol

Fortuneforever:
Thanks for sharing. Please just a few questions that will be of great help to me if you don't mind cos I applied without my kids and I've been restless ever since. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

How old are your kids and how did you go about it? Did you have to explain why you applied without them in the first place?
What's the duration of your study?
How soon after you got approval did you apply for them.
Was there something you did to expedite the process like a priority letter or something?

Forgive the many questions
@Fortuneforever you’ve asked all the questions most mothers here (myself inclusive) would like to ask.
Gracias!

Visitor visa
Wow! And it took 12days! I had always thought it’s better and faster to apply for study permits for kids (from Pry school age upwards)
Everybody’s application is truly unique.
Fingers crossed, God will see us through

I actually applied for my children immediately I got approval and their visas was approved with travel exemption. It is not out of place to apply for them to accompany you after getting your visa. But as we have all seen, everyone seems to have their unique package. So consider what suits you and shoot.
Congratulations! Did you apply for visitors visa or study permit(being of school age though)

I already have my IELTS result, just paid form A yesterday, was thinking of waiting and submitting tuition receipt and IELTS result together via webform. Maybe I would just go ahead and submit the IELTS first.
In my opinion, I think you should submit the IELTS.

I am in the same situation but had to make a hard decision after considering all factors especially the reason for doing this.

Cost of Preschool for toddlers isn't cheap depending on the province you are considering. NB quote was at average of $140/wk/child which comes to over $1k per month aside other expenses.

Assuming one can afford the financial expenses, how will caring for them all alone be? This is in addition to the school work and settling into a new environment.

Imagine having classes and the school call you or having a class running late into the night with 2 kids calling for your attention.

Not an easy decision but will ultimately pay off at the end. It will end in Praise!!!
May God strengthen all mothers on this journey making tough decisions to go or leave their little kids behind, Amen! Either way, it’s NOT EASY. Your sacrifices will never be in vain.

I applied on the 14th, no NSE request either. Although I did my biometrics really late, 24th, maybe that is why.
I also applied on the 14th (with Ielts) and biometrics on the 20th. It’s better u book for your Ielts (it fills up so quickly) cos you might get your request soon.

Honestly, I don’t know some ppl handled 8 months of this wait. Barely a month since submission and I’m always on this thread or checking my email. Waiting for something to drop. I’ve tried focusing on other things but I just keep coming back here.

Quick question, for NSE request, which IELTS is better, general or Academic??
I heard either one can serve. Some people wrote General and got approval as well. I’ve written both though I submitted my application with “Academics”. I’ll definitely say general is easier.

NB:
My General got expired and I wrote Academics because of study route; but that was before I heard General can serve too.
U can still seek the opinions of “Gurus” in the house.

Good morning all. I’m just curious to know how people coped while waiting for PPR OR eligibility review. To think I just applied and I can barely do anything without thinking of my application. Is it really possible to get your mind off it??
To all that has received PPR y’all are STRONG!
