No such thing as a reasonable liberal. They decieve with half truths.

The word liberal is an oxymoron in today's world.

It is a facade behind which people who feed on the misery of others, hide.

Parasites last as long as they are tolerated aren't they.

If I may, ship from where to where? Some stores ship directly to 9ja while some are to US locations only. If to US only, you might need to contact your US recipient if delivery to 9ja is possible during this time.
I'm shipping from the US. Someone wants to help me buy it, but he told me the goods would be with the US recipient pending the call off of the lockdown. The eBay seller is also from the US, I just want to know if he would be able to deliver it to the recipient considering the situation over there.

Lol. It has never ever been about peace and prosperity. During the Arab Spring, we heard not a peep from the US when protests were taking place in Saudi Arabia and other strong monarchical countries. What were the protesters asking for? Democracy and an end to monumental corruption.

Now, the US is supposed to be the champion of democracy in the world, so why did it keep silent when it could have enabled democratic change in the Middle East? Answer- it currently has control over the monarchical governments in power there and a democratic government might not be so friendly to it.

This same democracy loving America had the democratic Iranian government replaced by the Shah cos he was about to nationalize their oil industry. The shah was hated and corrupt, but that didn't stop America from giving him their full support and throwing open their arsenal for the Shah to buy any weaponry he wanted. He bought F-14s and more.

America so loved democracy and prosperity that it provided the means for evil governments everywhere on the globe from Latin America to Africa to stay in power and murder hundreds and millions of their citizens. They supported people like Mobutu, Saddam, the South African apartheid regime and provided training and weaponry to Latin American death squads that killed raped, murdered and maimed without mercy.

There is no nobility about the US in the least. They have always been driven by money and their self interest. That is why the are and will always be the Great Satan.
I like people that can see between the lines. The hypocrisy of the champion of democracy stinks to high heavens. grin grin

Partially you’re right, very country would go after there own national interest but 9/11 was the turning point.
See they know the more terrorism grow in the Middle East and other part of the world, the more Americans are not save.
Spare me the 9/11 BS, which country did US invade after 9/11?

The US presence in the Middle East is not any way related to 9/11.

Lol. I am sure the US is currently in Syria and Iraq because they want stability and prosperity in those countries. All the oil there is of course not a strong motivating factor.
You nailed it. Saudi Arabia (a known sponsor of terrorism) is a strong US ally. You dare not sue a Saudi citizen to court as an American, no matter what he or she does.

I find it ridiculous that some people still believe the US is in the Middle East to ensure peace and prosperity grin grin grin

U.S objectives in Afghanistan are easy to list: stability, good governance and prosperity. It should be noted that the United States did not make a premeditated choice to focus it's attention on the small land locked mountainous region. 9/11 changed all that. The initial goal of US military operations was narrowly conceived ; the elimination of the threat posed by al-Qaeda. The mission was urgent and not preceded by any long term objective. Albeit they did make quick work of the Taliban regime, their efforts did not produce any rapid result on the hunt for Osama bin Laden. The longer the US stayed in Afghanistan, the more blurry the line became between it's narrow counter terror mission and a more ambitious effort of building a post Taliban Afghanistan. The question is, was the US' strategic objective of building a stable and prosperous Afghanistan achieved? The answer is no. And I think the Taliban will be back.
Laughable grin grin

Hmmm. Have you looked at Algeria? They have more Russian and Soviet weaponry than you or I have ever heard of, from the T-90 to Kilo submarines. I am not hearing about any sanctions against them. And the Americans you are talking about recently purchased Russian helicopters for the Afghanistan government.
Yeah, I'm quite surprised by Algeria and Egypt's case, even Serbia (a strong Russian ally) was threatened when they wanted to buy the S400 sad sad

I think Nigeria should go for Russian weapons. They're cheaper, reliable and their delivery would not have any political undertone. We should have gone for the Su 25 equipped with latest avionics instead of going for that Super Tucano which won't be delivered at anytime soon. The Su 25 is the perfect platform for this COIN war judging by its performance against terrorists in Syria.

The problem lies with the decision makers and I doubt the president's situational awareness of what's going on in the North East. The man is senile and old, but I don't really blame him. angry angry

Oh, I do know about US sanctions. The same sanctions are making sure Cuba and Iran can't get the drugs and equipment it needs to treat its citizens. And did you know the US just bought ventilators from a Russian company that is under its sanctions. Ironic much?
You know we can't withstand US sanctions like Iran or Cuba. Egypt was threatened when they wanted to purchase the Kamov helicopters from Russia. That shouldn't be an excuse for the ineptitude of the Army though.

Like seriously? You are saying if we had showed up with the cash that China would had refused to sell weaponry to us? Or Russia? Or Sudan? Sanctions don't cut it please.
Now there are no sanctions, do you see massive equipment increase? Also, why did the sanction came into being? Would we be under sanction if the NA conducted itself in line with international best practices?
It seems you don't know about Uncle Sam's sanction grin grin grin

Toju won't you ever tire of blaming Obama for the inadequacies of the Nigerian army and airforce? Did Obama also stop us from buying stuff from China, South Africa, India, Russia and Egypt? Or Eastern Europe? Doesn't South Africa manufacture Super Hinds and even the Rooivak? The Tucano you are talking about, are there not equivalents we can get cheaper and sooner elsewhere? The weapons we use now, are most not from Russia and the Soviet Union, so why the sudden love for American weaponry?
And as regards heavy lift helicopters, don't the Russians have the Mil Mi 26 Halo? What stopped us from buying these massive choppers as Algeria long since have? Or what stopped us from buying masses of Mil Mi 8 and 17s? What stopped us from buying platforms from other countries other than the US and massively upgrading the stuff we already have by giving them better avionics, engines, weapons and sensors?

Kindly leave Obama out of this please and find someone else within Nigeria to blame. Your excuse is wack and weak and I am very tired of hearing shit like that.
Sanctions Bro sad sad
