This is a SOS message to well meaning individuals,NGOs, NUT, ex-students(ex commandos) and our government . I am using this medium and this occasion of world teachers' day to seek their intervention in the current casualization and victimization of hardworking and dedicated teachers of command secondary School ,Bodeigbo Apata ibadan.
Suddenly a new commandant came,left the temporary teachers stranded for three months without paying their allowances (can't call it salary), they have children and families to cater for and the next thing for him to do was to terminate their appointment without any payoffs, claiming paucity of funds. These teachers have spent the most productive years of their lives raising future leaders,producing excellent results and making the school a great one.
Judging from the calibre of people laid off, i fear for the school's academic achievement and performances going forward.

The names of these teachers have been in Abuja for a very long time with promises of regularization but nothing has been done about it. The least number of number of years those teachers have put into serving the school is 5years .Unfortunately the permanent teachers among them can not voice out to challenge the action because of fear. Corruption is so endemic in the system such that if it's eradicated,whatever they claimed not be enough can go round and sill be surplus.
I appeal to our government to wade into the current injustice. An injury to one must be an injury to all
