Before when they started they were even always notifying us and send us messages when the current subscription is about to expire.

Now they don't even send messages anymore, the connection will just end and leave you stranded, and when you check that is when you realize your sub has expired 🤦🏽‍♂️

I guess they're just not consistent with procedures. Some people mentioned receiving increment notification via text when a proper EMAIL should've sufficed disseminating info properly. About subscription reminders, I still get those TXT like every day 3 days straight leading to expiry used to be 7days straight lol

Worst thing about the whole fibrex increment debacle over the last month is I still haven't OFFICIALLY been notified from MTN about the increment. I think that's the very least one can expect from an Internet service based company. Is this an indication of how things are run from the top, Or they were truly trying to sneak it in (silly)? We had the flyers circulating over the net (could've been rumours), then the silence (patiently waiting) & then boom.. service interruption. How do you run a company this way??

Mine's the reverse. Can only connect to ZTE router/ browse through my Huawei smartphone & Amazon tab on 2G but not on any of my laptops. Have to figure out WTH is going on here.

My FibreX just got installed today in the morning and am yet to see any info about username and password from MTN. The installer said they will send it in 7 hours with the login details. Is more than 9 hours now. This is what is showing . What am I suppose to do

...una notice any issues signing in to PSN or playing games online with MTN FibreX? Since yesterday, when I got mine activated, I've been able to update firmware, update games, but for some reason, I cannot play games online. Every time I "Test Connection", I get a NAT Type Failed error, and it never connects. Funny thing is, I can see friend updates on the home screen as if I was connected to PSN, i can even enter PS Store, but I just cannot play with the NAT type error...I don check online for possible solutions like enabling UPnP in the router admin, changing to Google DNS in the WiFi setup on my PS4, and other things, but it just won't connect. Anybody get solution?Because I wan try game and stream this weekend.

Bad news, you might not be able to stream this weekend.
Good news, I encountered the same PSN connectivity issues on console with MTN fibreX.
Also did some research on the UPnP, turns out this setting is disconnected/unavailable on the ZTE router version.
Some suggested it was even better to have this settings disabled. I just gave some time & it started connecting.
Till date, the NAT type error still dey dere while I'm ballin COD...so just give it a while.

Bro, there's no need for the update.
Just understand that he's trying to give you perspective on pros & cons.
All over the world today, wherever Fibre rolls out, Starlink gets retired for obvious reasons.
Even Starlink isn't marketed to compete with fibre, plus we're not really getting that great speeds for the Starlink in Abuja & Lagos compared to advertised.
MTN Fibre X has also come to my Estate & I have been testing it out simultaneously for 2 months, it's been great! Probably by the end of the year, I will keep my Starlink as a good backup or take it along to the village or something.

Yeah bro, it's on jumia for #256k. The reviews there suggest it currently is one of the best in the market. It really lasts true to its rating (1kwh/900wh). If you want to use this primarily for your mini (20-40w), you have no problem, it will literarily last the entire day.
Now, I got this unit for my workstation comprising couple of desktops/monitors. Based on spec, there wasn't any real issue as I already have another solar unit that takes care of my laptop/phone charging/bulbs, starlink, routers, fan etc.

This one, I wanted to see on the higher end, how it would perform with my PS4 & monitor for online gaming. With hithium max output@200W, PS4 pro(150 -160W) + ASUS 25" monitor @35W, I thought it might prove challenging but it worked! I used it around 4hrs last night (though I didn't really time it) leaving a strong 1bar around midnight. However, there was that one time the PS4 switched off automatically not while actually playing, but just after the game during a cut scene/server upload connection stuff. Guess the power had surged past the 200 maxlimit. Jumia review
