2017 Xabi-Vidal-Thiago
2018 when Juup took over he reinstated Martinez to midfield and it became Martinez-Vidal-James with Tolliso Muller and Thiago subbing in
2019 after Vidal left was when Thiago started becoming an undisputed starter Thiago Martinez James was the preferred
2020 after James left and Kovac was sacked. It became Kimmich- Thiago - Muller with Leonidas, Tolisso Coutinho off the bench
Basically Thiago became undisputed starter in his last 2 seasons at Bayern

You dont watch Thiago weekly like we do

He had a serious injury in between those years, i think he missed almost an entire season in 2015 or so plus other recurring problems.

Alaba isn't needed at LB at the moment cos Bayern already have a gem playing there in Alphonso Davies.

There's not a time I've watched thiago in the CL where he doesn't boss the midfield, which is why Bayern mostly control games, even the games they lost like the medrid encounters.
