deji2009: click start, all programs, system tools and system restore
select a date before the problem started, say a week later and restore it.

If that doesn't work, have you tried scanning the system for viruses

check your system keyboard to make it is not stuck down.

hold down windows logo and the letter R to bring up run

type in msconfig and continue to startup untick anything that doesn't
begin with windows32, intel, radion, basically the programs that start
up when you boot your computer apply and ok then restart the computer

when it finish tick do not show this message again, then see if it flickers

if it does restart and keep pressing f8 go to safe mode, all the icons will be big

that's fine. see if you'd get the flicker screen in safe mode after that get back to normal
windows by restarting the laptop and report back to us

Hello house, happy sunday. Sure, we are all great.
Please, this windows explorer stinks. It pops up at
start up. It blinks and will not close. Any attempt to
Close only aggravates it coz multiple windows will then pop up
and all begin to blink together.
At this stage, the flickering
hinders barely every thinkable operation a
computer should be capable of. After clean boot
the symptoms persist.
Please help me, I have almost smacked the screen
off the computer with my fist. Here's the link to the video of how it behaves.

Mellorix: My Observations:


Ok. Following my observation of your previous uploaded pics, I was able to deduce that your problem might be from the ASUS easy flash software installed on your system. ASUS Easy Update is a program designed to manage all installed ASUS programs on the user's PC and check for and update any new versions of the software if available. This service will run in the background when Windows starts and periodically check for updates.


My Advice:

Please go to control panel and uninstall a program called “ASUS Easy Update”. Restart your system and let’s see if you will be prompted with that screen.

KENNSAMMY: thanks brothers. When I press windows + r and clicked startup tab, 360 internet Qihu360 soft... Alone is marked as the culprit. This 360 internet however is the only antivirus on the pc. Meanwhile, the other trouble with the initial booting is indicated as current OS;default OS , windows 7(c:\windows)... Take a look pls.

Mellorix: @KENNSAMMY, scroll down the list @LordReed suggested and look for a file called "explorer.exe" uncheck it. (If it is in the list and that should solve your problem) - if it isnt in the list - post back here for further troubleshooting.

Secondly there are others your screenshot did not show.

LordReed: Check your startup. Press windows key + r, type msconfig, click the startup tab. Screenshot the results and post here or indentify the culprit if you can and disable it/them. Also check control panel > programs and uninstall the culprits.

KENNSAMMY: Pls this blue screen pop up at my Asus K501 laptop start up. I press escape before I'm able to boot the computer. Also there's this document search page that pops up wen the windows eventually starts, blinks irritatingly and stubborn to close
