A lot of people want to start posting short videos but do not want their face on the internet. Faceless video is how most of the big pages actually do it: narration plus visuals, no talking head. Here is the full workflow, and it works for any niche. 1. THE SCRIPT Pick one topic and keep the script under 120 words. A 45 second vertical video is roughly 110 to 130 spoken words. If you write freely you end up with 300 words and a three minute video that nobody finishes. Write the first line separately, and write five versions of it. The first 1.5 seconds decide whether the person keeps watching. 2. THE VOICEOVER Any AI text to speech will read the script. The part people miss is that you need the timing of each word, not just the audio file. Without it your captions will not match the voice and the video looks cheap. 3. THE CAPTIONS Show 2 to 4 words at a time, centre of the screen, big font with a thick outline so it stays readable over any background. Burn the captions into the video itself. Do not upload them as a separate subtitle file, platforms handle that differently. 4. THE EDIT Export at 1080x1920. Crop your background footage to vertical without stretching it, and match the loudness of the voice and the music. Music louder than the narration is the number one reason a video sounds amateur. WHERE IT USUALLY GOES WRONG - Dead air at the end because the AI voice leaves silence after the last word. Trim it. - Captions drifting behind the audio after you trim the file. Re-sync after trimming. - Backgrounds that never change. Cut to a new shot every 3 to 5 seconds. DOING IT FASTER All four steps by hand takes hours per video, and this format needs volume, not perfection. One good video a week loses to five decent ones. There are tools that run the whole chain for you: you type the topic and get back a finished vertical video with script, AI voiceover, captions and music. The one I use is https://facelessreels.video - it comes with templates for stories, history, doodle explainers and gameplay style edits, so you are not staring at an empty editor. The important thing is that the pipeline does not change with the niche. Football highlights, tech reviews, travel, music, skits, gist - same four steps, only the topic changes. Pick one niche, post daily for a month, and check your numbers. |
