Pls how can I get this pre-enrollment form?
I intend to apply for the 2025/26 A. Y scholarship later in the year. I applied to University of Palermo for a postgraduate program. I received an acceptance/pre-admission letter last week but I’m in a fix as to what the next step in the application process is. I’ve tried contacting their international students’ office but the response is quite unclear.
My challenge now is that, so I proceed to the embassy for documentation or register on the “UNIVERSITALY” website?
Again, part of the required document for student visa on the Italian embassy website in Lagos requires submitting “a fully completed pre-enrollment form” for legalization. Where do I get this “pre-enrollment form”?

Pls anyone whom has successfully gone through these processes should help.[color=#006600][/color]

Pre-enrolement will begin next month. Your school will notify you. You will create an account in universitaly.it and fill out the form online. Afterwards, you school when send the pre-enrolement form to your mail for visa processing

You can go with the two ds160, that's exactly what I did at abuja yesterday, they scanned the updated one and I was not even asked anything about why I have a different code on my appointment letter

Select a date and book appointment. Then request for emergency appointments.

focus on the interview on your interview for now. Usually the school will give you at least a week extra. Not like classes will start on 5th anyways but just be in touch with them so you don't have issues at the point of entry.

Worst thing that can happen is they will defer you to fall, and you will still use the same visa to enter. But I wrote first is the most likely option.

Hopefully you don't get administrative processing cos then you will have no option than defer.

In all, pass the interview first. One before the other

Should I have an update, I would have shared it. I don't want anyone to lose hope just yet. There's is still the opportunity for the miraculous.

For those that are still at the pre-approval stage and are resuming this January, may God see you through this stage soonest and may you have a much favourable appointment date before your resumption and ultimately, may your visas be approved.

Concerning uploading clear copy of the I 20 ( I snapped it, i did not scan)

But i’ve just uploaded it again. I’ve scanned it clearly and I’ve uploaded it again just now.

And can this also be the cause of the rejection…. On my DS 160 form, the date of arrival i put there is 20th and I still put the same date as date of travel when they asked on the AVITS website I.e before the pre approval stage

Form this information you have given, I don't see any reason why your had that rejection. Anyways as you have uploaded another scanned copy of your i-20, kindly create a ticket also concerning this issue. They might give you a logic reason why you had the rejection

Please I’ve been stucked in the pre approval stage for almost a month but i recently received a rejection mail from the embassy saying that my pre approval request was rejected and they didn’t state any reasons. Though I faced an issue when uploading my I 20… my I 20 document was about 62mb and i uploaded it that way, I was not aware about it until i uploaded it. When is your resumption date?

Did you sign your i-20 before uploading?

Have you paid your servis fee?

Did you upload a very clear copy of your i-20?

Greetings to everyone, please I need as assistance as I was at the embassy for my interview on Wednesday and I was told that my sevis fee was not reflecting and I was asked to reschedule.
Well the servis fee is now reflecting but I am unable to book another appointment since Thursday to date I keep getting this message on Avits portal.
What should I do?

Create ticket, contact support through calls and mails. You might be lucky to get their response and get the issues resolved.

I secured an MPOwer Loan for fall2024, however I didn't go ahead with the process.
I have an offer for Fall 2025, I'm concerned about the chances of visa approval with M power loan.

Please is it advisable to use MPOwer Loan as POF or use someone else's account for proof of funds.

I need your guidance guys, I need your wisdom to navigate this.

There's nothing wrong with using mpower loan and it won't make them deny you the visa. However you must ensure you have a good reason to proof to them that you can pay back the loan without working in the US. This has been the problem with most people. They are usually unable to give good reasons on how they would pay back the loan without working in the US.

Here are some good reasons

1. Good amount of money in your bank account that can settle your loan at least for the first year.

2. A good Work history

3. Demonstration of a strong economic family background, i.e father working in a reputable company and earning good amount or mother running a business with good monthly returns

4. You own a business that can support you while you are away for studies

5. The course you intend to study has a good economic value and would make you earn way more or help you climb the professional ladder when you return

In all these, you must be able to demonstrate to the vo that you understand the loan terms and how you intend paying back your loan without working in the US.

Sincerely, like i had mentioned earlier, we had raised tickets, chatted the customer care of the embassy and even called, all to no avail.
Just kept getting mails that the tickets have been published. Mind you, after uploading the I-20, there was no encounter with error messages with our applications.
However, when raising tickets, there were difficulties uploading all the documents- I-20, screenshot of Avits page, Sevis fee receipt, DS-160, MRV PAYMENT RECEIPT. Eventually got past that by scanning all the documents to JPEG and resizing all of them into 1file less than 1MB.
When uploading before Pre-approval, files were in PDF but when raising tickets, we changed them to JPEG and were finally able to upload.
Yesterday, we just did nothing but kept checking our portal. We remembered Chemist4life saying he saw his approval after 6pm and so we checked about that time and saw a notification and voila! The pending approval request had been granted. We just noticed our tickets were being closed by the hour until one was left open. Unknown to us, we had been approved since afternoon.
We were able to book 2 appointment dates together , same day and same time.
I can't say we did anything special except to wait and pray in faith after uploading our documents rightly on Friday.
My inference is that except all your uploaads and documents are specifically sent in the right format, your Pre-approval stage will be stuck.(I could be wrong).

I RECEIVE AN ERROR MESSAGE

" QUERRY DID NOT RETURN A UNIQUE RESULT: 2; NESTED EXEMPTION IS javax.persistence.NonUniqueResultException: QUERRY DID NOT RETURN A UNIQUE RESULT: 2".

I AM UNABLE TO PROCEED AFTER UPLOADING MY I-20 DOCUMENT.

Has anyone been able to upload I20 recently to pass the Preapproval Request page. The numbers of days people have been stuck on that stage in this thread is shocking.

Personally, I think all these issues are as a result of gross incompetence in the part of the visa appointment team.

There is no issue that can't be resolved.

If they are overwhelmed, let them employ more competent people to handle this business.

I don't think they will try this in the US.

They are pretty much aware that Nigerians has no choice.

How can someone fast and pray to apply for visa and still fast and pray to get appointment date and on top of that there is still the possibility of getting denied. Aaaaah!

The avits software is totally rubbish. Poor design, poor UI/Ux.

It can't just successful perform the simple taste it was created for. And they are doing nothing about it.

If it's not working or serving the purpose, let them take it down!

The engineer/developer ought to be arrested.
The customer service, again dead!

You create ticket, you are not even sure if it will be responded or attended to.

We the visa applicants shouldn't suffer these. They are not our fault.

But we are Nigerians, we can afford to be paying servis/visa fee as long as we want, because we have no choice. And we don't even have a voice.

1. You must find the means to balance the remaining 21k, otherwise, if the consular asked for your POF, and he or she saw the deficit, that means you have failed in POF score. Mind you , if asked, the USA embassy now verify all bank statements.

2. Although, using MPOWER loan, as a POF bail out instead of scholarship or sponsor's fund is a bad omen in securing F1 VISA, nonetheless, if you can prove repayment sources beyond all doubts , and especially, if you are an outstanding scholar, a USA consular officer, being a human being, may admire your academic prowess and decide to help you in achieving your goals. A USA consular officer, being giving the autonomy of VISA-DECISION, can use emotion (ie likeness or hatred), or personal judgement in deciding your VISA outcome.

3. Even, your would-be consular officer cannot authoritatively predict the possibility of getting your VISA approved, even if he or she is your relative, and some of the reasons for this are that ; your interview activities are being Videotaped (with supervisor (s) standby), and every consular officer must follow the VISA qualification requirements in order to grant it, thus, a consular officer can change his or her original intention , in the middle of your interview.

As regards your first answer here, in my case, I am going for MSc that is not related to my undergraduate, my choice for MSc is fueled because it’s related to the field of career I have been a professional for the past 5 years…
Studied Botany and Biotechnology in undergraduate but going for MSc in Computer Science because I have been a professional software developer for the past 5 years

Do you think this could be a barrier?

And moreover, the school that admitted me saw all these and I had entrance test and interview with a professor in the dept which I passed and even secured me about 80% funding of my COA.

1. You don't need the sponsorship letter. Tell your company to be ready to send a financial verification evidence to your host-school in the USA, as one of the major requirements before your admission letter (Form-120) can be issued. * Your company should also be ready to give you the copy of the financial evidence or affidavit of support along when attending your Study-VISA interview.

2. Go and renew your travel passport.
