Please help, I recently noticed that my screen flickers on low brightness. Though I increase the brightness to make it work normally, the screen starts to get hot. Is this a software or hardware issue?I've already tried a hard reset, can someone suggest any other possible fix? Tnx

I was charged N19, 800. It was fixed in Lagos by weefeex guys (met them here on Nairaland weefeex.com). It's working flawlessly just like the "follow come"

The new launched M6 and M6 Plus showcase Gionee’s strong R& capabilities and outstanding performance in technological innovation.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee recently announced they would establish an independent manufacturing unit in Haryana, India with an initial investment of Rs 500 crore. The total investment will be increased to Rs 1,500 crore at a later date.

The independent manufacturing unit will be set up over 50 acres in Faridabad and will provide over 28,000 jobs in the next three years. With an annual capacity of close to 30 million units, Gionee plans to produce around 600,000 mobiles per month from this facility and use it as an export hub in the future.

Gionee has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government. Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of Haryana state and Mr. Vipul Goel, the State Industries Minister attended the signing ceremony. Mr. Liu Lirong, the Chairman of Gionee expressed his belief that this is a big movement for Gionee as "India is one of our most important markets and Gionee has been seeing exponential growth here, which will only increase rapidly as time goes on".

Gionee entered the Indian market in 2012 but hopes to double its sales next year to more than 15 million units, in a market which has traditionally been a tricky hunting ground for Chinese companies, given the obvious culture differences. Over the past four years, Gionee has created a 13,000-strong Indian sales force operating out of 35,000 retail stores and 400 service centers to support its growing customer base.
Keeping in line with Gionee’s “Make in India Initiatives”, two facilities in India, run by Foxconn and Dixon, help the company with production and manufacturing. Gionee has now gone further to set up their own manufacturing unit in India. This unit will take Gionee to the next level of growth. The aim is to establish not only a factory, but an entire modern township around it for employees and an entire value chain for various stakeholders to benefit from.

Additionally, the South China Morning Post in its recent coverage pointed out that China-based vendor sales grew 28% over the previous quarter, of which Gionee, Oppo and Vivo were the key drivers of growth.

These achievements are believed to result from a common factor: reliable and strong channel distribution. For these hottest phone makers, the old-school brick-and-mortar stores are an effective outlet as they set up retail stores with exclusive distribution deals.
