PoliticsRe: FG Says No Going Back On New Tax Laws From January 1, 2026 by KillerOfCrackas: 12:46pm On Dec 27, 2025
The problem isn’t really the January 2026 start date, it’s credibility. Government can’t expect people to be calm when there are questions about what was passed versus what was gazetted. Standing firm on implementation is fine, but they also need to be firm on transparency. If these tax laws truly ease the burden on workers and small businesses as claimed, then Nigerians will adjust. But if there’s even a hint of ambiguity, trust will be the first casualty.

nairalanda1:
The old man has no choice...knowing Nigerian politicans and our leaders, they would rather not charge any tax, because they love to get elected, and they love power.

But this time, our country is between a rock and a hard place. Our lenders the IMF and world bank have been showing some reluctance to borrow us more money and have been passively agressively telling us so. Oil, which forms 80% of government revenue, has had dropping prices, and it was even predictied a year ago that it won;t go above 70 dollars per barrel for a long time. We need to fix illegal mining , but that won't be done in a day, even if our government was serious about it. And VAT...no matter how we shout about it, can at best raise N6 trillion naira per annum for now.

And MDA's revenue generation this year was godawful. For the first time in my life, I heard, on radio nigeria, a economist blasting the government for not raising enough revenue via MDA's.

So, the apc has to charge tax. The alternative is to borrow and borrow...and even borrow more. Subsidy removal removed some of the pressure, but didn't solve the income issue at all.

The even effing horrifying thing is that the tax law at best will reduce our dependence on borrowing. At best. If we were a serious nation, we would forget about oil, even hand over control of the oil revenue to oil producing states, and focus on using our other resources to make products the world needs.

This is not a support for apc, I never voted for them anyway, but a look at the big picture.

(Yes, we have to fight corruption, and it is shameful we have a government that is not serious about it. But fighting corruption won't solve the problem of low revenue.)
I agree that Nigeria’s revenue crisis is real and unavoidable, and pretending otherwise won’t help anyone. Oil dependence has failed us, MDA revenue has been weak, external lenders are clearly losing patience, and borrowing our way out of trouble is no longer sustainable. Subsidy removal eased pressure on expenditure but didn’t magically create new income, so the fiscal hole is still there. On that broad diagnosis, you’re absolutely correct.
Where I think the logic starts to break down is in jumping from “the government needs money” to “citizens must absorb new taxes now.” A tax system only works when the economy can carry it and when people believe the state will return value for what it collects. Nigeria is struggling on both fronts. Wages are shrinking in real terms, unemployment is high, and most people survive in an informal economy where consumption taxes hit hardest. In that context, VAT or similar measures don’t just raise revenue; they transfer the burden downward to people with the least capacity to bear it.
The deeper issue isn’t whether Nigeria should tax at all, but who is being asked to pay first. Right now, high-net-worth individuals, luxury consumption, and entrenched tax evasion remain largely intact, while MDAs continue to leak revenue and the cost of governance remains wildly disproportionate to what the economy produces. When those realities are unchanged, asking ordinary Nigerians to tighten their belts even further feels less like shared sacrifice and more like imbalance.
You’re also right that fighting corruption alone won’t suddenly fix revenue shortfalls, but leakage cannot be treated as a side issue. Raising taxes before plugging obvious holes simply increases the amount that can be wasted. It’s difficult to convince people to contribute more when past contributions haven’t translated into better services or reduced excess at the top.
As for oil, the failure to diversify is undeniable, but citizens cannot be made to pay today for decades of structural neglect without a clear, credible shift in how the state operates. People are not rejecting taxes because they don’t understand the big picture; they’re rejecting them because history has taught them that higher revenue has rarely meant better roads, healthcare, security, or education.
So yes, the country is boxed in and choices are limited. But when a nation is trapped between bad options, the solution isn’t to press harder on those already crushed by the system. The pushback you’re seeing isn’t denial of economic reality; it’s a reaction to being asked, once again, to carry the heaviest load in a system that has yet to prove it can carry its own weight.

CrimeRe: Top 10 States With The Highest Cases Of Cultism In Nigeria (ranked 10 → 1 With D by KillerOfCrackas(op):
NO. 1: RIVERS STATE – THE DEADLIEST CULT HOTSPOT IN NIGERIA
Rivers State ranks Number 1 for cult-related violence in Nigeria, recording an estimated 300–350 cult-related deaths between 2020 and early 2025. Cultism in Rivers State began in the late 1970s and 1980s, primarily within universities such as the University of Port Harcourt (UniPort) and Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST). DNKI (Vikings) originated from UniPort, initially as a campus-based society to promote brotherhood and student protection. Over time, many campus confraternities evolved into heavily armed street gangs, extending influence into urban centers and local politics. By the 1990s and 2000s, Rivers State became a major hub for both campus and street cult activities, influencing other South-South states.
Rivers hosts several notorious groups, including DNKI with street wings Icelanders, Greenlanders, Deewell, and JVC, as well as Klansmen Confraternity (KK) with street wing Deebam. These groups are heavily armed, highly organized, and territorial, involved in political thuggery, street crime, and community domination, which contributes to the extremely high death toll. One of the deadliest conflicts in Rivers’ cult history is the rivalry between Deebam (KK street wing) and Deewell (DNKI street wing), which revolves around territorial control in Port Harcourt and Obio-Akpor, influence over street gangs, and competition for political and community dominance. This feud has resulted in numerous targeted killings, mass shootings, and retaliatory attacks, with both sides recruiting aggressively from local youth populations. The conflict is notorious for its frequency, brutality, and tactical use of weapons, solidifying Rivers as Nigeria’s deadliest state for cult violence.
Rivers tops the list due to its high urban density, political patronage, historical roots, and the armed and lethal nature of street wings like Icelanders, Greenlanders, Deewell, JVC, and Deebam. Groups operate across neighborhoods, towns, and even spill into neighboring states. The situation illustrates how campus cults evolve into deadly urban gangs, blending politics, crime, and youth unrest. The Deebam-Deewell rivalry highlights the persistent cycle of retaliatory killings, destabilizing communities, threatening lives, and spreading into surrounding areas if unchecked. Rivers’ example shows the dangers of long-standing confraternities evolving into powerful, organized street networks and the urgent need for intervention to prevent further bloodshed.

CrimeRe: Top 10 States With The Highest Cases Of Cultism In Nigeria (ranked 10 → 1 With D by KillerOfCrackas(op): 8:21pm On Dec 23, 2025
NO. 2: EDO STATE – THE BIRTHPLACE OF NBM, MAPHITES, AND JURISTS
Edo State ranks Number 2 for cult-related violence in Nigeria, recording an estimated 190–192 deaths between 2020 and early 2025. The state is historically significant as the birthplace of NBM (), Maphites, and Jurists, three of Nigeria’s most notorious confraternities. Other groups like Vikings and Eiye are active in Edo but did not originate there, making the state a central hub of both historical and modern cult activity.
Cultism in Edo is deeply entrenched, especially in Benin City, and extends beyond campuses into street, community, and political arenas. Rival groups often clash over territory, influence, and control of resources, leading to lethal gun battles, targeted assassinations, and retaliatory attacks affecting both youths and innocent civilians.
The main drivers include youth unemployment, political patronage, and historical rivalries. Edo’s cult groups are well-armed, highly secretive, and strategically organized, which explains why the state maintains one of the highest cult-related death tolls in Nigeria despite its relatively small size.
Edo continues to produce new splinter factions, keeping the cycle of violence alive and influencing neighboring states. Its combination of historical roots, organizational sophistication, and socio-economic pressures makes Edo one of the deadliest cultism hotspots in the country.

NO. 3: DELTA STATE – CULTISM IN THE NIGER DELTA
Delta State ranks Number 3 due to its high frequency of cult clashes, often spilling into community violence and territorial wars. Between 2020 and early 2025, Delta recorded an estimated 120–130 cult-related deaths, making it one of the deadliest states in the South-South.
Unlike Lagos, where cultism is urban and commerce-driven, Delta’s cultism is tied to both street gangs and local community control, often influenced by the Niger Delta’s political and oil economy dynamics.

NO. 4: LAGOS STATE – THE SOUTHWEST TURF WARS
Lagos ranks Number 4 on the list due to frequent cult clashes, turf wars, and street gang violence. Between 2020 and early 2025, the state recorded an estimated 190–200 cult-related deaths, making it one of the deadliest in the Southwest.
Unlike northern or smaller southern states, Lagos has a high population, dense urban areas, and major commercial hubs, which creates fertile ground for cult activities.

Benue ranks Number 5 on the list, and it might surprise many Nigerians. Between 2020 and early 2025, the state recorded an estimated 200+ cult-related deaths, making it one of the deadliest states in the North-Central region.
Unlike the southern states, where cultism is often linked to rivers, oil, or campus rivalry, Benue’s cult problem is mostly community and street-based, but extremely lethal.

NO. 6: OGUN STATE – LAGOS’ CULTISM SPILLOVER STATE
Ogun State ranks Number 6 largely because it serves as a buffer and spillover zone for cult activities from Lagos. Between 2020 and early 2025, Ogun recorded an estimated 100–120 cult-related deaths, placing it firmly in Nigeria’s top 10.
Cultism in Ogun is not isolated it is deeply connected to Lagos’ urban gang networks.

NO. 7: ANAMBRA STATE – THE RISE OF STREET CULTISM IN THE SOUTHEAST
Anambra ranks Number 7 on the list due to a steady rise in cult-related killings over the past few years. Between 2020 and early 2025, the state recorded an estimated 120–130 cult-related deaths, making it one of the most affected states in the Southeast.
Unlike the Niger Delta states where cultism has long existed, Anambra’s problem is relatively recent but rapidly expanding.

NO. 8: AKWA IBOM STATE – QUIET BUT DEADLY CULT VIOLENCE
Akwa Ibom ranks Number 8 on the list because cultism here is not loud or constant, but persistent and dangerous. Between 2020 and early 2025, the state recorded an estimated 85–95 cult-related deaths, placing it among Nigeria’s top 10 affected states.
Unlike Rivers or Lagos where cult clashes are frequent and public, Akwa Ibom’s cult violence often happens silently and at night.

NO. 9: BAYELSA STATE – CULTISM, MILITANCY & POLITICAL YOUTH GANGS
Bayelsa ranks Number 9 on the list not because cultism is the most frequent there, but because when it happens, it is often deadly. Between 2020 and early 2025, Bayelsa recorded an estimated 65–70 cult-related deaths, placing it among Nigeria’s notable cult violence states.
Unlike Lagos or Rivers where cult wars are constant, Bayelsa’s problem is intermittent but intense.

At first glance, Osun and Kwara may surprise many Nigerians on a list of states affected by cultism. These are not states popularly associated with extreme violence like Rivers or Lagos. However, recent trends show a worrying rise in cult-related activities, earning them the 10th spot.
Between 2020 and early 2025, both states recorded an estimated 55–58 cult-related deaths each, mainly from street-level cult clashes rather than campus-only confraternities.

The story that the Deputy Governor died from working too hard doesn't make sense to me.
A deputy governor's job is to help the governor. It is not a job that is more stressful than the governor's own job. So, why are they saying he worked himself to death? It feels like a simple story to stop people from asking real questions. Also, people are saying he did not check his health. This is not a fact. We do not know about his private health. This is just a guess to make the problem seem personal, not political. We know the real facts: he refused to join the APC party with the governor and other leaders. He was going to be impeached for this. He was in court to stop it. He was also talking about joining a different party.
Suddenly, in the middle of this big political fight, he dies. They tell us it was "overwork." But we are not stupid. When a politician dies at the exact time he is causing big problems for powerful people, we should be suspicious.
We should ask for a clear and independent check into how he died. Until then, I do not believe the simple story. This looks like dirty politics, not an office problem.

So the same terrorists who can’t read or write more than their own names somehow figured out how to set up Starlink, mount it, configure it, pay for subscription, get it working in the bush but the entire Nigerian security architecture can’t figure out how to track a single signal? Interesting. Because these guys are illiterates o. Many of them can’t even operate a basic smartphone without help. Yet suddenly they’ve become Starlink engineers? And even if they’re using Starlink, is that not more reason why security agencies should step up? Or do kidnappers now have better tech than a whole government? Also, how come the same internet that cannot be traced when terrorists flaunt ransom suddenly becomes traceable when an ordinary citizen tweets something government doesn’t like? Is Starlink untraceable, or are they just unwilling? Because this explanation is sounding like Nigerian Nollywood plot.
EducationCultists Kidnap Five Students In Rivers State by KillerOfCrackas(op): 10:53am On Dec 03, 2025
Five students were abducted by suspected cultists in the early hours of Monday, in the Rumuche/Rumuohia community of Emohua LGA, Rivers state.

According to Grace Iringe-Koko, spokesperson for the Rivers police command, about five armed men stormed an isolated part of the community around 2:30am, opened fire, and took the students to an unknown location.

“On 2nd December 2025 at about 0230hrs, a group of suspected cultists, numbering about five, attacked an isolated area in Rumuche/Rumuohia community, Emohua Local Government Area,” the statement reads.

“The hoodlums shot and abducted five persons to an unknown destination.”

The spokesperson said the police have launched an investigation and efforts are ongoing to rescue the students.

Olugbenga Adepoju, the commissioner of police, accompanied by other service commanders, visited the scene for an on-the-spot assessment shortly after the report was received.

The CP has directed the area commander, all tactical units, and the joint task force to intensify efforts to rescue the victims safely and arrest the perpetrators.
He said every suspect connected to the crime will be apprehended and made to face the full weight of the law, adding that residents should remain calm and volunteer credible information that could assist the ongoing investigation.

Meanwhile, sources close to the matter said the abducted students are from the Emohua satellite campus of the Rivers State University (RSU).

Last week, students living off-campus staged protests over repeated cult attacks, urging the school management to relocate them to the main campus in Port Harcourt for their safety.

Masturbation is not harmless it’s a trap. It drains your mind, steals your focus, destroys your drive, and keeps you far below your potential.
I was stagnant while all my friends were doing better than me, even my junior brother. No matter how hard I worked, I kept falling back because I went to porn every time the urge came it was my fault, but it held me captive.
The dark dreams, the heaviness, the constant frustration it made me realize this was more than a habit. One day, I cried out to God and decided to cut all triggers. I fell many times, but I refused to give in.
Today, I can boldly say: I’m free. I don’t feel the urges anymore. God delivered me.
Bro, don’t let masturbation steal your life. It’s deadly for your destiny. Fight it, remove every trigger, and stay determined. You can be free too. You just have to play your part while God play his. Stay blessed.

As Christians, we must remember that not everything the Bible doesn’t mention directly is harmless. Many believers excuse masturbation because “the Bible didn’t say anything” or “science says it’s healthy,” but spiritual doors are real.

I want to share this post from a young man on Reddit who knowingly made a pact with a succubus a demonic spirit many Christians believe is connected to chronic masturbation and recurring sexual dreams in men.

According to him, what he thought would give him pleasure has now turned into deep spiritual torment, health problems, and sleepless nights.

I’m sharing this to remind fellow Christians to stay watchful, prayerful, and discerning. Not everything that looks harmless is spiritually safe.

"I'm dealing with a succubus and need help."

Hi I was recommended too post here as well from the r/occult subreddit hopefully you can help me.

I'm not sure if I tagged it right.

Let me know if I need too change it and I will.

I hope you help I'm kinda desperate struggling and suffering badly despite the pleasure.

I'll do my best too explain this situation if you have any questions or need more information I will do my best too answer.

I'm a male late 30s I'm disabled and reclusive I don't have any friends IRL I see or a romantic relationship just family who I live with.

I was very lonely single and sexless for a long time. I also had a very abusive traumatic childhood and upbringing if that's important.

I had a bad addiction and watched pornography daily and masturbated often when alone.

Around 2 years ago this strange accurance happened. I watched porn and hentai quite often and I got into succubus porn.

Its all I watched for a while any content related too succubus. Real life cosplay, porn games, 3d cgi animation, hentai, and manga written erotica AI chat bots among others.

Well I watched that often daily for a while and masturbated too it. Well one night I was very depressed in bed and very lonely.

I asked for a succubus too come too me and give me pleasure if they existed. That I would do anything it wanted or asked.

I would sell my soul if necessary. Ater that I smelled this sweet smell I can't describe it very seductive and heard this ringing in my ears.

I couldn't see it but I could feel it like it goes inside my body and on or into my penis and testicles it stimulates it from the inside and outside as well as other parts of my body.

Its so intense the pleasure It was indescribable the best sensation I've ever felt in my life. Better than sex or masturbation entirely.

I orgasmed instantly without touching myself this happens everytime. Well since then this has been happening frequently at all times of day.

Not just at night but during the day and afternoon as well. Such as if I view any sexual material or have any sexual thoughts or arousal or even if I just ask it too verbally or mentally with my thoughts.

Which I often do as I cannot go long without doing so and have become addicted I've also grown very attached too it. I have gotten strong feelings a deep love I've never felt this way in my life it asks me too love and worship it.

I do when I do this it gives me a very strong orgasm until I cry or blackout/pass out. Usually after a few days I go through withdrawals if I don't allow it too make me orgasm.

I never used drugs alcohol cigarettes or any substance before and I'm completely sober when this happens so I believe this is real not a delusion. Its a full body physical sensation.

The issue is it's making me very ill after it pleasures me and I orgasm. When it does this I feel in my chest like this licking or pleasure inside it's hard too explain like in my soul I guess. I could feel it pulling it out of my chest before once it was scary.

It's changed me I'm not the same person anymore I used too be very kind compassionate loving and helpful. Now I'm just numb angry and irritated all the time also very depressed and suicidal the only this I truly enjoy anymore is when it pleasures me and I feel empty after it finishes and I orgasm.

I'm not myself anymore. I'm exhausted and sickly physically. I've lost weight from not eating. This may be due too other health issues I'm dealing with that I'm having health wise. But I feel this may play apart.

I enjoy NOTHING anymore at all. Like I used too have hobbies interests. Now I just feel nothing. Numb emotionally inside. I just stare off at times and cannot be inside my home I sit outside mostly or walk at night.

Also I wear headphones 24/7 and listen too music otherwise I have this non-stop intense ringing in my ears constantly. I also don't enjoy porn like I used too anymore or masturbate really. I dont get aroused or an erection unless I ask the succubus too pleasure me.

Then I am able too. I can't eat. I can't sleep. I used too sleep a lot due too depression. At least a full 8 hours of rest or more sometimes sleeping during the day. Now I can only sleep an hour or two every day. All my dreams are very sexual in nature sex acts with women and men people that have both genitals.

They can look like people I know. Friends past relationships or parents and family members also women I do not know or are fictional characters or celebrities they can take different forms. Also I have nightmares like violence war killing death drug use or of hell although that hasn't happened recently currently sex dreams.

I'm exhausted I can barely function anymore. It's effecting me greatly. Driving me insane I have severe panic attacks and body seizures at times I never had before this happened. I was terrified and told my family and therapist as I couldn't sleep or eat for a week the first time this was happening.

I had too go too the er and I was hospitalized in a mental hospital and heavily medicated with pills and injections due too this more than once. I'm not sure what too do. I was raised a Christian and I'm concerned about my salvation and going too hell.

I've had these experiences a few times when sleeping after getting COVID when the pandemic first started I got it for the first time and was very sick. It hasn't happened in a while though since then. Where I would feel something in my room or outside the window or near me grabbing me.

An presence that made me feel terrified. I had chills all over my body and felt very cold extreme panic attack heart racing and trying too pull me on my arm or body hard. I would feel extreme terror never felt like that before and I would call for help or out too Jesus in my mind and verbally and they would let go and disappear.

I'm also worried as I read they are a parasite and are terrifying and horrible looking in their true form. Can anyone explain what they look like. Or have a link too a picture or something so I can understand what they are. I'm not sure if I wanna see or know but I'm concerned. I got rid of all my physical pornography and intimacy gadgets as well as deleted all the saved videos and content.

After that started years ago at the suggestion of the priest and church. I prayed too God daily called on Jesus and listen too bible music and read the Bible often. It didn't seem too help much.

I consulted an priest for exorcism and went too a deliverance church. I did many sessions with them in person and virtually online. He used a crucifix and holy water on me and prayed commanded the spirit too leave me.

It was kinda painful and burned my skin when he did this and had this intense loud ringing in my ears. I also get sick when entering a church or holy place sometimes.

I have this feeling that I have too leave. Like panic attacks and chills. A few times I would get sick too my stomach feel like I'm going too vomit or have cough and hacking fits.

I'm not sure what too do. I cannot go long without it either forcing itself on me or me giving in and asking it too pleasure me.

I feel empty like I'm dying. Anyone with knowledge or advice would be greatly appreciated. I desire it and the pleasure but I'm very scared about my health well-being and salvation thank you.

PoliticsFubara Expands Rivers’ Blue Economy Potentials, Constructs 13.55km Coastal Road by KillerOfCrackas(op): 8:14pm On Oct 30, 2025
The construction of the 13.52km Ngo-Atlantic-Oyorokoto coastal road in Rivers State, which is currently ongoing, has been described as a bold and visionary effort by the state government to open up the coastal region for economic growth and harness the full potential of the state’s blue economy.

Siminalayi Fubara, Rivers State governor, made this known on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, during a visit to the project site in Andoni Local Government Area.

The road leads to a newly identified beachfront facing the Atlantic Ocean, separate from the popular Oyorokoto beach.

Fubara explained that while the original plan was to construct a road leading to Oyorokoto Town and its popular beach, his administration decided to expand the project to create an entirely new route that would open access to another pristine beachfront.

A release by Nelson Chukwudi, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, pointed out that the road, which cuts through challenging coastal terrain, is being constructed by Monier Construction Company (MCC).

The governor, during the visit, said, “is a virgin road, 13.52 kilometres of a new pathway to the blue economy.
“Initially, we were constructing a road to Oyorokoto Beach, one of the finest tourist centres in this area. But as we progressed, we discovered another beach directly facing the Atlantic Ocean. It became clear that we shouldn’t limit development to just one site. We want to harness this new beach front as part of our broader plan to develop the blue economy.”

Fubara stressed that once completed, the project will not only improve access to coastal communities but also stimulate tourism and economic activities, boosting revenue for Rivers State.
Describing the area’s difficult terrain as challenging, he commended the contractor for its dedication and expressed confidence that the road would be completed and commissioned by March next year.

“You can see for yourself, it’s a brand-new road in a very difficult terrain, just like the one we saw yesterday. But I strongly believe we will overcome it. From what we’ve seen today, the contractor, MCC, is doing their best, and by next year, hopefully by March, we’ll have the cause to commission this project and give God all the glory,” he said.

Fubara also visited Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area to assess the progress of work on the Epellema axis of the ongoing 5.2km Kalaibiama-Epellema road project featuring a 450-meter bridge.
