Investnow2017: I understand. I used to think that way well let's wait and see what will come out of it. I'm just not sure of the future of this country which is why I am tryin to be careful. It's not easy investing with banks |

Investnow2017: After 182 days what are the chances that you will see TBills at 18% again ?? That is 364 days comes readily prudent for wise investors well I'm comfortable with what I get for that period of time. I prefer 182 days to the loooooong 364 days. I can at least see my money before it goes out again lol |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Kimsunh: 4:10pm On Jul 31, 2017 |
Gavrelino123: Hope you know that you can never get 364 days in the Secondary Market ..? The days in Secondary Market is always Shorter with most times, juicy rate.. Someone who wants to go for Shorter tenure,Secondary Market is most recommendable.. But if you want a longer tenure.,Primary market always stand indisputable... well I will go for 182 days at 18% than go for 364 at 18.2 percent! I can always renew once the tenure is over. |

junglep: Is it wise to convert foreign currency to buy Treasury bills, especially with the level of instability in nigeria at the moment? if you won't be converting it back to foreign currency then I think it's a good idea but if it's going back to foreign currency then I can't guarantee it cuz you don't know how soon our oga at the top will say they want to increase the exchange rate and also black martlet is always on the high side so you need to be careful when making your decision |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Kimsunh: 12:32pm On Jul 31, 2017 |
Gavrelino123: you are right but;, Primary market pays more when you want to go for a longer term.... Secondary market is more juicy for shorter term.... I always stand with Primary Market...! I have the same tenure of investment in primary and secondary and I'm talking from my own point of view. But all the same it all depends on what is available at the bank. |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Kimsunh: 7:55am On Jul 31, 2017 |
Gavrelino123: It's a good rate bro....mine was 16.9 and that was April......nice rate bro you can check with first banks secondary market. Rates are more juicy than primary market. |

Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Kimsunh: 9:28pm On Jul 27, 2017 |
TONY56: Oh yes. There's no dispute about that BUT sometimes it's better not to waste your time waiting for juicy secondary market if Primary market is very much around because your waiting time may be a loss if the juicy one don't come early true to that but at the same time you have the choice to make, and I'm sure people do weigh their options before opting for secondary market. |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Kimsunh: 7:05pm On Jul 27, 2017 |
TONY56: That obviously is not Primary Market! yes and I can bet with you that you can't get that juicy rate with primary market. Last one I did with Gtb was 17.3. |
